Handlebars are hard to know if you'll like them until like you said you try them out. On my harley i had mini aps when i got it and never did like the hand position. Thankfully someone had given me the z-bars on there and i liked the feel of em.
Handlebar part number on Partzilla is the same for Tenere 700 and 1200 so the hole is not a weak point,if you want to change your bars go for it, but Chinese brands may overlook handlebar strengths but Japanese brands don't build bikes w cheesey bars.. and when you see videos for Transalp and Tenere exhaust mod that moves it way way up.. Japanese engineers had the pipe in multiple positions before settling on a lower position because they didn't want your wife, girlfriend, boyfriend or kid getting burned..I think we all remember the trend of under the seat exhaust..if Yamaha was smart they would offer a color LCD screen modification for original models that have black and white that can't be seen in the sun or if dirty
Been thinking about changin my bars out. I loved the bend on my 890, felt great and rolled up gave me great attack and wrist position. The stock T7 bars have never felt correct to me, specifically riding aggressively whike standing.
Is there a trick to removing the left switch housing (where the hazard switch, signal switch, flash to pass switch, etc) are? I pulled the 2 screws out, but it seems like I’m going to crack the plastic if I pull the pieces apart.
Thanks!!!ill Ill try squirting some electrical parts cleaner in there and wiggling apart. I definitely think there’s some dirt and grime in there, I just didn’t want to break the plastic or tear a wire.
Is the bend that much closer? Im 6' and have to hunch forward or bend knees when Im up and Id like my bars to help with that without extending the two mounts if I can...

My risers just came in, the 3/4” should really help. It is hard to know what you are getting with just looking at measurements online.

Same, I own a KTM 1190 and that bar position for me is perfect. Always felt the T7 is a bit off.
Thanks for watching!
@@AdventureTomek How do you like the KTM bend? Looking at a Fasst 15 degree standard height but can't decide on Enduro (shorter) or ADV (longer).

Mine pulled apart fairly easy. Might have dirt and grime that got in between the front and back piece overtime holding it together.

They don’t get the bar higher or closer.
