*Nick,* you have to know something. Cinderella did NOT know the prince was the prince. It shows how pure her intentions were, cause all she wanted to do was go to the ball for one night (but her real dream was to be free). And that's why before the clock strucks midnight she says "But I didn't even met the prince". And THAT is why she lets the plates fall when her stepmother explains what the duke was doing there. Because she realizes that the prince is the prince!! I just love her. Definitely my favourite princess AND the shot with the GREEN EYES! So intelligent. Cool and scary at the same time.
In my opinion, Lady Tremaine is one of the scariest Disney villains because she feels so REAL. She is not a powerful witch or anything like that, she is a domestic abuser, using what little power she has over someone else to humiliate, belittle and torment them, and there are millions just like her in real life.
Tremaine (voiced wonderfully by actress Eleanor Audley who did Disney voices and sitcom guest roles and radio shows) can ruin Cinderella's hopes and plans without doing much ... except bringing to her stupid daughters' attention that the homemade dress is partially made from their sash and beads. That's all it takes to ignite the two girls into ripping the gown to tatters. It's the little things that Lady Tremaine does that cause damage-- and she knows it. Excellent villain whom we love to hate.
She didn't know she was dancing with the prince, nor did she care about being her looks. She ran because she didn't want to get caught by her stepmother and because she's a nice person, to honor her fairy godmother by not breaking her curfew. All she wanted to do was go to the ball and be part of the kingdom because that would give her some tiny bit of semblance of feeling like an actual person.
When the stepsisters ripped her dress, it was such a brutal scene because it's like the ultimate abuse where they basically stripped the last memory of Cinderella's mother.
Omg that was horrible the way that scene is! I'm stupid I never remembered in that scene that that dress was Cindrella's mother's now that scene is more brutal🥺💔
And it is that scene which makes me love the Ever After version. I applaud the ability to not punch someone but Drew Barrymore’s Cindy punching her evil stepsister was the highlight of all Cindys
@@forestcatkay14 oh yes, this scene is perfect. Plus, the fact Jacqueline was nicer than Marguerite is because in the original tale, one of the stepsisters is less bad
@@a.g.demada5263 Not by much, but yeah that stepsister made the change from Cinderwench to Cinderella (or Cucendron to Cendrillon). Bit odd both stepmom and meanest sister also went with Cinderella afterwards during entire story. Makes the addition of a "nicer" stepsister look weird.
@@a.g.demada5263 yes because while it is possible both sisters are cruel together to Cindy, I’m sure the stepmother favored one sister and the other would look for a friendly face. Cinderella is kind and must be herself lonely without her parents so it’s possible she and a stepsister got along.
Little fun factoid: the moment that Cinderella's dress is transformed into her ballgown was Walt Disney's favorite piece of animation they ever did. ❤️
The thing about her is that she just wanted a night out to enjoy herself. Her dream i think is to have a loving family and be treated fairly. She didn't even care if she met a prince I love how much she stands up for herself whenever she can. Without being disrespectful ofcourse. The last thing she needs is to be homeless in the street without a penny to her name. With the glass shoe, it's glass and was tailored to her exact foot shape, size and curves. Unless she managed to clone her feet or someone in the town/city has the same exact foot everything, it would only fit her
@@jimthecactus7425 Yeah those kind of people make me mad. I'm feminist and I love the disney princesses, they're all great in their own ways. It is de good part but the bad part is make Cinderella scape I a boy, convince this way to many people that is the only solution and go to blind and desesperate into anybody who show a little piece of affection only for scape the bad family situation. I’m glad you watched this! It was my favorite as a kid! people say now days that Cinderella could’ve left, not knowing what it’s like to be a ab*se victim. It’s hard. It was even harder back then for women.
People seems to forget this is set at a point where women weren't independent, at least Cinderella wasn't since she never completed her studies because of house chores nor left her home much to socialize with outer world.
@@798jeremy This. There's an excellent video entitled "Stop Blaming the Victim" about Cinderella. People are so full of crap acting like you can just leave a bad situation whenever you want to. Food? Shelter? Transportation? It doesn't just come from thin air.
Yes, she is! And the actress doing the voice of Lady Tremaine is, also, the voice of Maleficent in "Sleeping Beauty". And! The actress doing the voice of The Fairy Godmother is the Queen of Hearts in "Alice in Wonderland". Just so many iconic Disney villain voices hidden in this movie! 😉
@@nathrach6093 As well as Mrs. Jumbo and the Elephant Matriarch in "Dumbo," Aunt Sarah in "Lady and the Tramp" and Winifred in "The Jungle Book," I think?
Here's the thing about the slipper: Even if it does fit multiple women, the prince only danced with one woman, and he knows what she looks like. So even if other women come in, the Prince will know right away it's not her. Cinderella 3 even makes a point to show this.
I remember reading that they were initially thinking they'd have a scene where Cinderella was in like...a lineup of girls and the prince had to pick her, but Walt Disney said something like, "Hasn't she been through enough?" So they didn't end up doing that. I do feel like he kinda had a point; the climax of the movie is over and she's already had lots of bad stuff happen to her.
@@GuardianOwl actually the story it's based off has an explanation for that too: her feet are so small because they shrank from her stepmother's neglect.
@@videohistory722 Never thought of that. I determined the fit of the slipper was almost purely due to magic. It could also explain why Cinderella could comfortably dance around in slippers made of glass, too. My theory though 🤷🏻♀️
I've always assumed that the shoe was enchanted to fit only Cinderella, that it would make itself too big or too small even if half the girls in the kingdom had the same shoe size.
I'm glad you really liked Cinderella. If you ever get the chance I think you'd love Cinderella 3. It's usually known for being one of the best of the direct to DVD Disney films. And it's one of my favorites.
This was probably my most watched VHS as a kid, I love this movie so much. The old Disney movies are so magical to me. Also I really appreciate that you mentioned how kind Cinderella stayed as she was being abused. She really was so strong and I always wanted to be kind like her. That’s why it always bothered me how people say she could’ve left, it wasn’t that simple.
Just as I was looking for sonething to watch with lunch, you appear! The thing I think everyone gets wrong about this version of Cinderella - the man was just a bonus. Her real goal was always to just have a night out for once.
What I love about this movie is that getting a prince in the end wasn’t Cinderella’s prerogative. She ended up happily ever after because she was a kind, generous, caring person even in the face of adversity. She never let her situation ruin how she acted towards others and I think that’s such a good show of character.
32:25 Now you see why Lady Tremaine is known as one of the best disney villains along side Frollo, Scar, Gaston, Hades and Maleficent (which was voiced by the same VA as the Lady Tremaine I believe). I mean her stare when she realised and walking towards the stairs is really intimidating.
Yes, Lady Tremaine and Maleficient were both voiced by Eleanor Audley, who also played Madame Leota in the Haunted Mansion ride, among other TV and film roles. She also had several radio roles back in the golden age. We listened to several of them in my drama class.
The mice and other animals in the house are a testament to how kindness is never wasted. The friends that truly love you will do their best for you, just as you do for them.
I hate how so many people hold this up as like an "anti-feminist" movie or something because she "just waits for a man to solve all her problems." I mean clearly those people didn't actually watch the film, Cinderella is great, she holds her head up high even when she has no one on her side but a bunch of mice.
I’ve only seen that take for other adaptations that are more modern. They usually don’t give her a character or a desire outside of Prince but this movie she has a personality and she has a desire that isn’t solely tied to the prince.

This movie brings back so many memories! When I was a kid, I dressed up as her for Halloween. I also had these plastic heels that came with the costume and I used to wear them almost everywhere.
These classic Disney animation openings have such a strong aesthetic and emotional identity, I miss them. I think if Disney ever put them back in, I would be crying in the first 2 minutes of the movie.
You can thank the illustrator Mary Blair, one of the few female artists at Disney at the time with real influence on the stories and art, for the beautiful stylizations of the backdrops! She did most of the concept art for this film, and the backdrop artists (also mostly uncredited, unknown women) did their best to stick as closely as possible to her carefully thought out simplifications, her watercolor style, and the color schemes :)
Seeing this brought so much joy to my heart. I've loved Cinderella my whole life and it breaks my heart when people just assume they know everything about her and her story. Some people think she's too passive and her story's too simple. But as we know, there is so much more depth and beauty if only we take the time to get to know her. It was so refreshing to see someone that doesn't know her come to love her like I do. Thank you so so much!
Cinderella has always been one of my favorites. People always think that women need to be loud and aggressive in order to be "strong." But she is one of the greatest examples of endurance, positivity, and strength. She still decides to go to the ball despite the risks so I don't get why people always say she didn't take an active role in her life.
@@mariahs283 I know right?! To those people who think she's passive, just read this quote by Walt Disney HIMSELF: “She believed in dreams, all right, but she also believed in doing something about them. When Prince Charming didn't come along, she went over to the palace and got him.”
This was the film that put Disney back on top after their attempts to stay afloat in the 1940’s. -The song Bibbity Bobbity Boo was nominated for Best Original Song, -the woman who does the narration at the beginning is Betty Lou Gerson who in 1961 would be the voice of the villain Cruella De Vil in Disney’s 191 Dalmatians, -the woman who voices Lady Tremaine Eleanor Audley would voice another classic villain Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty you can also hear her as the voice of Madame Leota in The Haunted Mansion ride, -you brought up at the end hoping to see the fairy godmother more and I don’t think that would have worked as her whole purpose was just for that one scene to cheer Cinderella up and help her go to the ball, however they showed have developed the prince more, -Walt Disney’s favorite bit of animation the studio ever did was the dress transformation in the film because the Cinderella rags to riches story was basically his life, -the voice of the fairy godmother was a veteran Disney voice actress Verna Felton and you can hear her voice in the films: Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, and The Jungle Book,
Verna Felton often plays irritating or rude people. like the lead elephant in Dumbo who told everyone to ignore him when he walked up to them, and Aunt Sarah who treated poor Lady very unfairly, and I didn't like Flora either, because of the way she undermined Merryweather every time she tried to give an opinion on anything and kept colouring her pink. Hathi's wife wasn't so bad, and at least she was a villain in Alice In Wonderland so she was meant to be unlikable, and there she was super entertaining. She was fine as the Fairy Godmother. Eleanor Audley made the dignified villainess trope. Both roles are diabolical and badass in a quiet way. The only difference is that Maleficent can go the other way and get over-the-top, but neither of them ever really lose that quality - she can just get away with it because of her magic.
@@strawberrysoulforever8336 And don't forget her Madame Leota from Haunted Mansion. but Eleanor Audley contributions in comedic series like Beverly Hillbillies (principal of a Private school) or Mrs. Douglas in Green Acres can't be overlooked. Though again playing a mean-spirited lady she's legit funny. First episode alone in Beverly Hillbillies dancing out of the door with her newest pupil 'hippety-Hop' lol 😂😂😂
i never saw this film till my adulthood and i was so blown away by the animation. I love that Cinderella's prime trait is kindness; when the film was made there weren't tons of aspirations for little girls, but being kind was something the film makers wanted to show could be just as valuable as any magic or status. The old Disney films are so iconic, very of their time, but amazing to watch and enjoy cause they certainly dont make em like that anymore LOL (just as well perhaps!)
@@RedRoseSeptember22 Imagine him fighting with King Stefan in Sleeping Beauty. Though if you fence with fish the outcome would probably be the same lol.
If you liked Cinderella but wished there was more character development and growth of Cinderella and the prince, you should watch Ever After (with Drew Barrymore)! It's an amazing rendition of Cinderella and adds a lot to the classic story! I'd love to see you react to it! Very lovely video as always, Nick! Looking forward to the next one!
Your reactions really bring a smile to my face. Especially when you seem to be really struck by something. I loved how with the Fairy Godmother scene you were like "What's bringing a pumpkin to life going to do?" Only to have your jaw drop when it changed. That right there, that's the power of great animation and it's wonderful to see someone discovering it for the first time. Also your laugh is infectious. Just you seem so amused throughout this. ❤
Cinderella is one of my favorite Disney princesses. I love how she has a positive attitude, and is very hardworking despite the constant drama, and emotional abuse she deals with from her stepmother and stepsisters.
Glad ur feeling better! This is one of my favorite Disney movies. I was so upset when Anastasia & Drizella ripped Cinderella’s dress. My heart broke for her.
fun facts: everyone thinks her dress is blue when in reality it’s silver!!! it’s only because of the shading the animation studio used back then. disney decided to market her as having a blue dress and it got really popular. another: the actress for cinderella ended up getting dementia i believe so she forgot she voiced cinderella :( people would play her the songs she sang and she fell in love with them every time. another: she was the first princess to sing a duet with her love interest another: lady tremaine also voices maleficent and cinderella’s actress was also the model for aurora and anita from 101 dalmatians. last one: she’s the first disney non-royal princess!! usually princess who were brown into royalty never wear gloves and those who didn’t, do :)
I really enjoyed this movie as a kid. However, her stepmother and stepsisters are terrible characters because of how they treat Cinderella. The scene that enrages me is when they tear up her dress and their mother does absolutely nothing to stop it.
@@Cecelia021 Honestly I don't mind that. They're young and their behavior was fueled and rewarded by their mother. It's possible to grow up and learn how to be better.
@@memyselfandi7782 Exactly. The stepmother manipulated that reaction. It was her way of keeping Cinderella from going without going back on her word or actually doing anything herself. The mice are my absolute favorite in this just makes me smile so much, I can't tell you how many times my mom had to rent this out for me when I was little and finally one Christmas I got it as a gift! VHS of course in the big plastic box!

I love the mice! Zuk Zuk! Especially when Gus says "Happy Birthday!" I forgot how much the movie spends time with them. The scene where they are trying to get the beads for the dress feels very reminiscent of a Tom and Jerry cartoon lol.
Disney Options to watch: Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, tangled, and also the the second Emperors new groove, “Kronk’s New Groove”, really underrated but of course it’s hilarious.
My absolute favorite movie! I've seen it far more times than I can count by this point! I could go on with my never-ending love for it, but I'll be very very brief. Ilene Woods' vocal performance of Cinderella is simply wonderful and her singing voice is timeless. She beat out over 300 girls vying for the role and this is only her second and final movie, but what a legacy! Sadly on my birthday in 2010, July 1, she passed away of Alzheimer's disease, not knowing she was the voice of Cinderella. But to keep her happy, nurses would play A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes. Ilene Woods also stated in an interview years later that Cinderella's didn't want to go to the ball to marry the prince, but to have a good time. Just for even a few hours, Cinderella could be happy, with her meeting the Prince, who she didn't recognize, being an added bonus.
The reason Anastacia and Drizella are playing music/singing is as part of their education. I think you would really enjoy Cinderella 3. Because it's hilarious and also awesome
"Cinderella" is my favorite out of first three Disney-movies (Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and this), so I was glad to see you react to this. Characters like Mulan, Elsa, Meg and Moana are really looked up to these days, and I love them as well, but I disagree with how people often say that the "first" Disney-princesses are weak and only chasing after princes and expecting them to save them. That is not true, Cinderella, Snow and Aurora are really strong in their own ways as well and they have a lot of qualities to look up to. Cinderella was never looking for meeting the prince, all she wanted was time for herself and new experiences for one night. She also has a very good and actually very sarcastic sense of humor. "Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes" and "Sing Sweet Nightingale" have the special place in my heart after all these years. Lady Tremaine is really scary villain, since she doesn't have magical powers, but there are many people like her in the real world (like Frollo and Mother Gothel, for example). It would be really nice to see you reacting to the live action-version of "Cinderella" and "Cinderella 3", they are both great. Thanks for this reaction. :)
Hey Nick. Gotta say I love your channel. You always make me smile. If you liked Cinderella I think you will love 98 Ever After. Also the original Sleeping Beauty has something very much in common w Cinderella. The woman who voiced the Stepmother also voiced Maleficent. Elenor Audrey was amazing in both roles. Much love to you Nick :)
Lady Tremain (the wicked stepmother) is an extremely under-appreciated Disney villain. Just because she’s more quietly devious, spiteful and not overly bombastic (plus one of the few non-magical female villains)
Glad your feeling better. Didn't know you haven't been feeling well. Hope your recovery goes smooth. You have a really special channel that I personally want to thank you for. One Easter in the late 1970s, my mom bought me the vinyl record of this story with all the songs. There was an illustrated storybook on the front cover, and I listened to this story - including sound clips from the movie like Jacque & Gus vs Lucifer - and sang along with all the songs hundreds of times over the years. It's still so sentimental a favorite that I purchased the digital soundtrack even when my kids were too old to appreciate it. Just for me!
Cinderella voice actress/singer Ilene Woods didn’t even realize she had auditioned for the role. Her friends recorded her singing without her knowledge and sent it to Walt Disney. On the strength of that tape, she landed the role.
Times like this I really don't care whether or not love at first sight is realistic, I'm watching a movie not a documentary, anything can happen in the world of fiction. And the drawings in the 'So this is love' scene are too beautiful to make me doubt.
Cinderella has two of my favorite Disney songs: the first rendition of "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes," and "So This is Love". Walt Disney himself cited Cinderella as his favorite character from his films because he thought himself very similar to her. She works her ass off and in the end gets her reward. Although as others have commented already, she just wanted a night off, not to marry a prince (not that her fairy tale ending was a bad thing).
I recommend "Ever After: A Cinderella Story". It's a live action 1998 version of this classic tail, but realistic, and very interesting, IMO. With Drew Barrymore as "Cinderella" (But that's not her name) and Anjelica Huston (I.E. Morticia Adams in the 90s Adams Family movies) as the stepmother.
This was my mom's FAVORITE Disney animated film when I was growing up. I watch it on her bday every year to remember her. Odd she loved it so much seeing she hated Disney. 😊😊 Again, great reaction to the entire film. Thank you!!! I have a feeling I'll be falling down a reaction hole with your channel today. Though, what better way to feel better while suffering a severe sinus infection... Video binging makes everything better. 😄
On the one hand it's so amazing to see his genuine reactions to movies from my childhood. On the other hand I am a bit shocked by the fact he has never seen these movies before.
Ah yes. The classics. You can't get more fairytale than this. Also, let's take a moment to appreciate when simple human beings manage to be the most terrifying of villains. Lady Tremaine, just an old, yet very greedy woman, and still one terrifying character 😰
I mention a while back that I suggest some of the disney sequels for future reactions, one of them was Cinderella 3. I didn't mention the second film, because is considerate one of the weakest and look like three episodes of a tv show that never happend (which is probably true). But If you do watch both of them or just 3, I think you gonna like it.
Cinderella is my favorite Disney movie. Cinderella is one of my favorite Disney princesses. She inspires me to be optimistic and never loose hope. When I was younger i was in theater group and one of the plays we did was Cinderella and I got to play Cinderella. I had a pretty blue dress and a silver tiara for the ball scene. Definitely a dream role. I’m half Swedish and half Norwegian. In Sweden her name is Askungen and in Norway her name is Askepott. 💙👡🐭 And don't worry, stuff happens. It's wonderful to hear that you feel better ❤️Also fun fact : Eleanor Audley who voices Lady Tremaine also voices Maleficent from Sleeping beauty and Madame Leota from the haunted mansion in the Disney parks. And Verna Felton who voices the fairy godmother also voices Flora from Sleeping beauty, Mrs Jumbo from Dumbo and The Queen of hearts from Alice in wonderland. Another fun fact the part when Cinderella gets her new dress to the ball was Walt Disney's favorite piece of animation. 😄
20:59 When I was a kid, I cannot understand why they were tearing Cinderella's dress. When I got older, I finally understand. They were jealous because Cinderella is beautiful than her step-sisters.
There's just something really pretty about music and choirs stuff from the 50s. It's just really beautiful and I always love it. I can't wait to see if you do go to see the other Cinderlla films (mainly Cinderella 3). Since you did hope you see the the mice in the other films. Either way take your time getting around to them, but I feel you may really enjoy Cinderella 3 (it's a big favorite of mine of the Disney Sequels).
Oh, another thing. Glass doesn't stretch, at all. Once it's dried in a mold, not moving. That's why the Fairy Godmother picked glass, because the shoes would be molded to fit Cinderella's feet exactly. Only Cinderella.

@@Scary_Mask_Tomboy By toxic masculinity, I'm referencing the teasing that often accompanies men positively supporting other men. This is fun and very enjoyable. I'm in my late fifties, and I have to say, watching this reaction video takes me back to childhood because this is basically all the emotions that I felt the first time I watched the movie-- that whole sense of wonder and awe, and all the feelings that the story triggers. And my first exposure to Walt Disney's Cinderella was way back in the late 1960s during a re-release showing. Walt's team did a super job bringing this tale to life. Certain things remain with me, like Lady Tremaine's bedroom being so sinister and intimidating in its purple and black colors and its darkness (except for the light coming in from the window and falling on Cinderella in a pattern as she approaches the bed). The room is somehow gorgeous yet frightening in its way. Also, when the Stepmother figures out that Cinderella was "The Girl" the previous night; the lighting changes and the entire mood suddenly shifts to suspense as she starts to follow Cinderella like she's prey. Just really fantastic stuff. Thank you for reminding me how marvelous this movie is.
I have only watched this film once, as a child, but I have watched the scene where the mice and birds help Cinderella with her dress about 40 times, because it's in the Disney cavalcade they show every Christmas in Sweden.

Screw the live action remake(and most of the remakes)for trying to make her "relatable". People can just be evil sometimes.
Her and Frollo are the most realistic and scariest.

She didn't even care if she met a prince

With the glass shoe, it's glass and was tailored to her exact foot shape, size and curves. Unless she managed to clone her feet or someone in the town/city has the same exact foot everything, it would only fit her
And she had no idea that the prince was the prince. She was shocked when she learned who he was.

Exactly she couldn't own her own property or get proper pay
People seems to forget this is set at a point where women weren't independent, at least Cinderella wasn't since she never completed her studies because of house chores nor left her home much to socialize with outer world.
People don’t give Cinderella enough credit.
And what worse irony for a single abused woman to get that from other women, of course ?

Fun Fact: The Woman that Narrates The Beginning of This Movie is the voice actress for Cruella DeVille in 101 Dalmations!
@@SwiftFoxProductions The Fairy Godmother is also Flora, one of the good fairies, from "Sleepy Beauty."
@@nathrach6093 As well as Mrs. Jumbo and the Elephant Matriarch in "Dumbo," Aunt Sarah in "Lady and the Tramp" and Winifred in "The Jungle Book," I think?
Cinderella: “Fairy Godmother, why did you leave me the other slipper?”
Fairy Godmother: “It’s a surprise tool that will help us later!”
Here's the thing about the slipper:
Even if it does fit multiple women, the prince only danced with one woman, and he knows what she looks like.
It’s also a magical slipper so it probably is perfectly conformed to the shape of her foot so it only fits her.
And she didn’t know who he was. Girl dropped that ray in shock 🤣
Tray not ray
I say her goal was to improve her bad relationships. The world just wasn't having it.
A youtuber of my country made à video about the movie and says she can be see like the clue, one day the hard working can be rewarded
Jealousy's greenish eyes...
The mice and other animals in the house are a testament to how kindness is never wasted. The friends that truly love you will do their best for you, just as you do for them.
"Ever After" is considered by many to be the best retelling of Cinderella.
I love that movie, I can’t watch it without crying!
Yeah and the version with Brandy is my second favorite Cinderella movie. That song “Impossible” remains with me to this day.
I was just about to recommend this!! Drew Barrymore is just wonderful, and Anjelica Huston as well!
Yes! I really think he’d enjoy it. I haven’t seen anyone react to it yet
I love "Ever After". I also have the recent version with Helana Bonom Carter as the fairy god-mother.
I hate how so many people hold this up as like an "anti-feminist" movie or something because she "just waits for a man to solve all her problems." I mean clearly those people didn't actually watch the film, Cinderella is great, she holds her head up high even when she has no one on her side but a bunch of mice.
This has been a big problem for a while. Some people look for problems where there are none, especially these days with social media.
She just wanted a nice night out on the town, don’t hate her for getting a man out of it
Yep :) and she had dreams long before meeting the prince, it was never about him.
Especially in the second sequel A Twist In Time! 😄 they make her a total badass and the prince is hilarious 😂
I’ve only seen that take for other adaptations that are more modern. They usually don’t give her a character or a desire outside of Prince but this movie she has a personality and she has a desire that isn’t solely tied to the prince.

These classic Disney animation openings have such a strong aesthetic and emotional identity, I miss them. I think if Disney ever put them back in, I would be crying in the first 2 minutes of the movie.
My favorite one is the opening of Peter Pan! It’s just so nostalgic.
Frollo, Gothel and Lady Tramaine should make a ''how to mistreat a child the worst'' club
-The song Bibbity Bobbity Boo was nominated for Best Original Song,
-the woman who does the narration at the beginning is Betty Lou Gerson who in 1961 would be the voice of the villain Cruella De Vil in Disney’s 191 Dalmatians,
-the woman who voices Lady Tremaine Eleanor Audley would voice another classic villain Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty you can also hear her as the voice of Madame Leota in The Haunted Mansion ride,
-you brought up at the end hoping to see the fairy godmother more and I don’t think that would have worked as her whole purpose was just for that one scene to cheer Cinderella up and help her go to the ball, however they showed have developed the prince more,
-Walt Disney’s favorite bit of animation the studio ever did was the dress transformation in the film because the Cinderella rags to riches story was basically his life,
-the voice of the fairy godmother was a veteran Disney voice actress Verna Felton and you can hear her voice in the films:
Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, and The Jungle Book,
and then Bibidi, Babidi and Buu appears on DBZ

@@MrEnte3000 Is that a quote from Ms de Vil? I haven't seen the whole movie because I heard she was the only memorable thing about it.
i never saw this film till my adulthood and i was so blown away by the animation.

Awww this movie is very meaningful to me personally, I love that you reacted to it!!

Lady Tremain (the wicked stepmother) is an extremely under-appreciated Disney villain. Just because she’s more quietly devious, spiteful and not overly bombastic (plus one of the few non-magical female villains)

One of my favorite Classic Movies~ Brings so much nostalgia
It was one of my favorites growing up. You should watch the second and the third as well, they give a nice twist in the story and a redemption arc!

Ah yes. The classics. You can't get more fairytale than this. Also, let's take a moment to appreciate when simple human beings manage to be the most terrifying of villains. Lady Tremaine, just an old, yet very greedy woman, and still one terrifying character 😰

I always felt terrible for Cinderella for the way her step-family treated her. I'm happy she's got her happy ending.
I'm sure you'd absolutely love Tangled!!
Another fun fact the part when Cinderella gets her new dress to the ball was Walt Disney's favorite piece of animation. 😄

Your reactions always give me a smile. Thankyou
I'd love to see reactions to Alice in Wonderland and Jungle Book
Loved your sweet first reaction to this classic animated film! I would LOVE to see you react to the musical version from 1997 starring Brandy and Whitney Houston. I think you'd like it even more!
About that fitting the glass slippers,
It was darker in the original story,
They cut their toes to make it fit.
God i love how Disney changed Directions of this ❤️
What a Magical Classic.
I love that you watched this! Would love more classic Disney princess movies!
i was so glad to see you reacting to cinderella since it's my comfort movie since i was a kid! not many reactors choose to watch it, so i was very interested in seeing your reaction. i would also suggest cinderella 3: a twist in time or the live action version from 2015! thanks for this reaction
So glad you feel better. Take care of yourself. ♥
I'm probably going to get a lot of toxic masculinity comments about this comment, but I don't care. Nick, you are such a sweet and nice guy! You're so authentic; whenever you watch a movie and see something sweet or moving, you're so genuine! It warms my heart to see a guy who isn't afraid to wear his emotions on his sleeve. Always be yourself and never let anyone bring you down!
Dude yeah! i was thinking that too! he's just too adorable to stop watching, i love his personality, he's so sweet! also, what do you mean "toxic masculinity comments"?
@@Scary_Mask_Tomboy By toxic masculinity, I'm referencing the teasing that often accompanies men positively supporting other men. When I was growing up in the 90's, when a guy positively built up or complimented another guy, it was seen as weakness or questioned their sexuality. TH-cam condiment sections are notorious for cutting people down for stupid reasons, so I guess I was being preemptively pessimistic.
@@JoshuaBloom01 What?? what exactly does that have to do with sexuality? it's not wrong for a man to compliment another man, also straight men compliment another man being handsome is also totally normal, my dad does that too, i mean if girls can compliment each other, why not men? it doesn't make any difference
@@Scary_Mask_Tomboy That's a great attitude to have, sadly it wasn't the one shared by my school peers. It's nice to see that even in the Facebook comments, people have better manners than the garbage I went to school with. Keep that positive attitude though, it's unfortunately rare in the world today.
Cinderella one of my favorite Disney princesses 😊 Thank you for reaction, Nick😊
Eleanor Audley who voices Lady Tremaine (the stepmother) was also the voice of Maleficent in “Sleeping Beauty”.
Bro... you're too fucking lovable. Seriously. You seem so sincere and good hearted
I love how sweet and positive you are you make me so happy to watch and help when I'm down
This is fun and very enjoyable.
I have only watched this film once, as a child, but I have watched the scene where the mice and birds help Cinderella with her dress about 40 times, because it's in the Disney cavalcade they show every Christmas in Sweden.
this and Ferris Bueller were my favorite movies to rent in the 80s
Cinderella’s magical dress transformation was Walt Disney’s FAVORITE piece of animation 💫🌟
Honestly the amount of cinderella stories and media I've consumed this is actually one of the ones I've not seen much. Its very Disney-fied for sure ><
If you've not seen it yet I very much recommend Sleeping Beauty, its one of the defining disney movies :)
Perhaps maybe not read up on some of the darker versions of the story though >< they can get very dark and goreful
