      The drawback? It lowers the soil pH to slightly more acidic

    Military referrs to it as rhino snot. Use it around heli pads on unimproved airfields. Works to hold rocks as long as you don't drive on it, it holds the rocks well.

    Interesting video and product. I did a walking path a number of years ago with pea gravel and laid it on a base of dry portland cement and then sprayed it with water which did a fairly good job but I was planning another pea gravel walk this year and I think I will look for this product to try out instead which is a lot easier on the back than lugging backs of cement.
    Thanks for the tip.

    • @SunnyBermuda
      @SunnyBermuda  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Wow, good idea about the cement as a sub-base. That's a bit more permanent than the mulch glue as you may have to re-apply yearly. Label said it will last 1 year so I'll try to do a follow up video/short this fall or next spring to see how it's holding. Thanks for watching!

    I have a question, if you ever had to move the pea gravel, or anything like that, do you think it would be hard to break into so to speak? And also, we have stepping stones we did with pea gravel, as a walkway, would you suggest just spray on the pea gravel and not the stepping stones? Just wondering if it would help everything kinda stay in place? (Just for reference, our walkway has plastic edging around currently to secure pea gravel, and large stepping stones in the middle, pea gravel is in the between and and sides). Thank you for sharing your knowledge :)

    • @SunnyBermuda
      @SunnyBermuda  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, I believe you would e able to break apart the pebbles. The label says it lasts about a year so you could time the move according to that. Yes, I would at least spray the edges of the stone where the pebbles touch it and where the pebbles touch the borders. Hope this helps! 👍😎

      It's labeled as 'Non-Toxic' and also 'Kid and Pet Friendly'. I am not sure whether it would be absorbed by your fruit tree and produce a negative fruit. I put down a commercial weed fabric before putting down rocks and haven’t had any grow up yet. Have you figured out their dilution factor yet? I’ve been experimenting with generic white glue and can’t seem to get it correct. 1:2 won’t spray well. It also isn’t as white when it sprays as theirs is. I’m going to try 1:3 next. My bed is pretty thick so I might need many coats. Also, how long does it take to dry well before it gets hard? 24 hours? I like the concept but 27$ for 32 oz is too high. Get what you pay for I realize but if it’s white glue and water I can make a bunch real cheap. Do you think they are adding something we don’t know about. No ingredients listed on the bottle. 32 oz doesn’t go far. Thoughts?

    • @SunnyBermuda

I have learned how to mix it now correctly to get it nice and smooth before I put it in the sprayer. I’m going to try again this weekend. Some areas have done very well and some are doing very poorly. I will let you know. I am using generic Amazon white glue and water. I have seen some advertisements for gravel resin, but it is very expensive. The product that you showcase has seem to work the best thus far. I need to get several days of hot sun on it to make sure that it dries correctly before rain hits it.

    • @danburks7717
      @danburks7717 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m pretty sure it’s close to 1:3. I’m using generic Amazon white glue and hot water. I’m getting it down pretty well now and the cheap sprayer easily pushes it out. It looked much better going down tonight. I’ll see how this application holds. The first two held well against my high speed backpack blower at a distance to get the pollen off. I’m mixing it in gal jugs with hot water gradually and mixing 2 gal at a time. Seems to be working well. I need to be able to walk on it and it needs to hold up against heavy rain runoff here in NC. I’ll let y’all know. Thanks!!
