- There was a crazy pro-line in Virgin, Utah, called Flying Monkey. The trail goes just beside a cliff. One crash might cost you a lot! Watch how we suffered and laugh!!

I love the fact that you show rides beyond your limits -
It sets the example for MTB'ers - stretch your limits, while at the same time working within your limits.
It's better to walk a feature, rather than hurt yourself!

I had the same experience as them, walked all the big features. I can't emphasize this enough, it is far steeper and the features are bigger than they look on camera. The wide angle of the Gopro really flattens everything. This was especially true at the first big one around 3 minutes. It looked like I was about to ride off the roof of a house.
Eric seems to have done a "Heartilage" on this entire trip, haha, normally seems like he shreds everything! confidence has caught the bus and left him lol
Maybe He doesn't want to show his weakness in his videos. He is sometime too much thinking and he can't ride!
@@VanGirlYuka yep I think we are all guilty of that at times, over thinking things can restrict us I know ive done it with gap jumps both on the MTB and Moto X bike. Really enjoy watching both you rs and Eric's videos . Love how you take on some of those sections and drops! Kudos to you Yuka! so awesome!

I think this vid is quite educational - cuts all the "men-vs-women-bs" and shows that there is no actual competition between riders. Just you and _the trail_ that's challenging your skillset to ride to the best of your abilities. And that includes the decision to better walk a feature in order to be able to ride another day! 👍🏻

That was actually what surprisingly improved my riding the most over the last years as i specifically put more focus on it: *slow riding!* Not going fast and battling the terrain as i thought before.
Being able to stop and get off in a controlled manner if needed, track stand a bit to make decisions, balance and some hopping. Eye-opening!

Another nice video! I think that trail is good if you have some bike trial skills , but i'm sure without clip pedals you will clear all the hard parts
I've never tried clip pedals. I'm more scared of crashing with my feet stucking on the pedals 😱

I've had to walk many features I knew I could ride but got stopped by a sketchy entry, this trail looks like every entry is sketchy!
It's not that long ride but it takes a long time!!
It hurts my brain when people associate failure with getting off your bike and walking a feature. FM is a janky steep trail with lots of exposure. You successfully completed it!

The risk/reward for this trail isn't worth it to me. I'd be walking many of the sections. I'm glad I haven't gone here. Yuka takes her crashes in stride, very tough mentally.

You have to be stupid to ride that trail as there is too much to lose (your life/health) if you make a mistake.
You conquered the slabs of Pemberton but the smaller rock rolls in this trail shook you up..

What a great call also on Eric's Park noticing loose over hardpack weirdness that you get up in those mountains... I personally don't like it and have no intention of riding in places like that anymore

This is not a trail to mess around with! Bad idea
Its always best to know when you’re beat by a feature. I have been scared of this one rock drop for months and am finally able to do it after many walks.
