Congratulations for completing the journey! Thanks for kind of taking us along with you, that looked really beautiful. Good job finishing the trail earlier than you anticipated too!
Hi Yuka - Thanks for this video. I hiked the SCT several years ago and your story brought back some lovely memories. Your narration, photography and editing is fantastic. Well done.
Ok.. I've resisted the urge to comment on any of your videos but this is too much. I'm now living in Ontario but we share so many of the same adventures it's crazy. First of all, my wife and I lived in Nelson BC for 10+ years. I'm an avid mountain biker. I don't live in a van but have a nice 91 Westfalia Syncro for family adventures. But this takes the cake. I also ignored advice about 11 years ago and solo hiked the south coast track in Tasmania. I'm writing this comment before I watch the video and I'm so so excited to watch your experience. Sending good vibes from Ontario. My daughter and I love your videos!
OK, just watched it. That brought back such a flood of memories. I also experienced treacherous weather crossing the ironbound range. I did not stay at the top, and made my way down through the buttress roots on the other side. 17 straight hours of hiking. When I got to my camp site that night every thing I owned was soaking wet, including my sleeping bag. I had blue lips, was slurring my speech. Luckily that evening another couple rolled into the campsite and truly saved my life. Wrapped me in an emergency blanket, made me tea got me warmed up. Thanks so much for sharing this video, I hope some day to return and do this hike again (definitely not alone next time).
Absolutely love your spirit and determination. When most would say 'hell no' you just smile and say 'let's go!'. That is amazing. Favorite qoute: "More fatal". 😅
Wow another great adventure you had!! The scenery there is definitely beautiful, I wish I had the opportunity to travel like you and Eric. So you have two personalities, van girl Yuka and adventure girl Yuka!😄 Thanks for sharing your adventure!
Yuka, you are so brave! A couple of those river crossings seemed so scary. I would only do those in my dreams but so fun to “do”them vicariously thru you! May you continue to come out safe and unscathed from your adventures 🙏🏼🙌🏼
This is so wild to see you in Tassie. Both my friend and I have followed you on your adventures so it's very close to home to see you touring our home state. Looks like you are making the most of it. Enjoy!
That was wonderful. I'm spending 4 weeks in Tasmania this Christmas and, while I won't be doing any hiking, I'm looking forward to my own adventures too. I love what you said "an adventure without fear is no adventure", and I heartily agree :)
Yuka, while crossing rivers, unbuckle your backpack straps in case you fall you won't get stuck and weighed down. Glad you are having some fun adventures!
Really loving your Adventure's Yuka you're unstoppable, you smashed it😆maybe you and Eric should move here we've got an abundance of hiking/Mtb trails😊
"in the worst case it might take weeks to find my dead body...very treacherous trail" said yuka ... her: alright imma go on that treacherous trail, be back in 9 days! with that said, it's amazing how much you improve every year, constantly pushing yourself and trying new things.
"An adventure without fear isn't an adventure." Love it!
Isn’t that so 😁?
@@VanGirlYuka 💯💯💯
Yuka, you are such an inspiration! Such a brave Soul. I am not sure I could tackle such a journey with friends let alone by your self. Amazing.
Love how you push yourself past the comfort of the known. Another great story Yuka

Congratulations for completing the journey! Thanks for kind of taking us along with you, that looked really beautiful. Good job finishing the trail earlier than you anticipated too!
It’s great that you are still enjoying Tasmania. I’m a Tasmanian, and that’s one track that I haven’t done. Great job 👍🏼

@@VanGirlYuka I’ll need to turn my riding legs into hiking legs😬
Off ya go

You should bring some water shoes for the river crossings. Wet shoes suck to hike in.
