    Useful information here, for the most part. The only things I would have done different are: used a little less lubricant on the caliper/pads (you don't want excess lubricant getting on the rotor and/or pads), used thread lock on the bolts, cleaned the caliper, put a little lubricant on the piston where it contacts the pad, made sure there was no rust or dirt on the wheel bearing flange where the rotor sits, wiped the rotor and brake pads down with brake cleaner before installing the wheel, used anti-seize on the wheel lug nuts. Thanks for the video.

    Great videos, Bryan! I used your videos to install rear EBC Redstuff Ceramic brake pads and the EBC S4 Front Red Stuff Brake Pad and Rotor Kit (Slotted Rotors) on my 2017 500c Abarth. Everything went exactly as you illustrated.

    Typically you'd want to replace the pad clips on the caliper with new ones (and use a wire brush to clean the channels out that they rest in). Also regrease the slider pins while you're there. :)

    Your video rocks! Thank you for your tutorial on changing brake pads and rotors on a 2015 Fiat Abarth! I watched it numerous times before starting the project and watched once when I forgot a next step in the process. Thank you to my sweet husband for teaching me to change my brake pads, rotors and flush the brake master cylinder just because I wanted to learn and save some money! 😃

    Love all the videos -- good camera angles and detailed procedures.
    However, one question: Do you have a torque wrench in the shop at all?

    • @NGENCustomsandPerformance

      Hey john we were scheduled to do a rear brake video but it fell through due to scheduling conflict. It’s similar except you will need a slim 17mm wrench for the slide pins so the bolt doesn’t just spin. That’s one of them so differences

    Hey Brian, is rotor replacement required when doing the brakes or can you just change out the pads? Thanks for the video. I used your other video to change out the springs which I have to do again for my daughter's fiat 500.

    • @NGENCustomsandPerformance
      @NGENCustomsandPerformance  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would recommend having the rotors resurfaced at a minimum. Just installing new brake pads without resurfacing/replacing rotors can cause warping. This will cause vibration when braking and increase stopping distance.

      @@NGENCustomsandPerformance I'm just gonna replace the rotors too. It's a 500 pop, any recommendations? Amazon has soon many. I also appreciate that you have always answered my questions. Hi. I need to remove my calipers and then reattach them. I read in a Fiat manual that when you depress the brake pedal, this will disconnect the brake lines from the master cylinder so fluid won’t keep coming out of a brake line after removing a caliper. Is this true?

    • @NGENCustomsandPerformance
      @NGENCustomsandPerformance  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jamesp2293 the brake fluid will leak out if you disconnect the brake hose from the caliper. If you disconnect that, put a cap on the end of the hose so it stops leaking. Once you are ready to reinstall, remove the cap and install the hose back to the caliper
