- Absolutely destroyed my previous gold nugget record, with this honking huge nugget. Along side 3 other very nice nuggets. Not only is it a record gold nugget, it is also a record day of gold for me. Absolutely love my Dream Claim. Gold panning, high banking, sluicing and metal detecting all show the biggest gold and it is so beautiful here as well.

Dear Dan, Greetings from the Great Sioux Nation, I live on the smallest reservation in South Dakota. I have watched your videos for close to a year now and I greatly enjoy your adventures. I retired recently, I worked for my tribe as Environmental programs Director as well as Natural Resources Director. I went to school after the Army just 20 miles off my rez at SDSU. I wish I was there when you were finding all these glorious nuggets !! That was MAGNIFICENT !!! I wish I were younger and could move easily through creek beds and river banks. I know it’s hard work but look at the motivation and rewards. When you can show me what’s possibly down there, I would definitely be the one to go after it. You show me time and time again how there is gold out there. GO OUT THERE AND GET IT!!! I so enjoy watching you and your family having a fruitful day at one of your claims.

All of my biggest Nuggets that iv'e found on the south Umpqua river in oregon were found in red clay right on top of bedrock. I had such a good feeling for you when i seen that red clay! Also my biggest one by far (14.8 grams) also had a big rusty chunk of iron by it that almost made me stop digging.
Those made some damn satisfying kerplunks when they fell in the bottle. Keep showing us the gold, everybody loves gold!

Dan is amazing im sure he thinks I havent noticed hes been adding a few extra clips here and there of geodes and what they look like. I remeber when I first asked him to try to more so I could learn more about them. So idk if he really did it just cause I asked but I feel like he did. In the burn areas how do the laws work about returning the area you do whatever in back to how it was before?
i love that little sluice, im checking regulations and then putting as many in as i can if i can :)
little tip, might seem simple but i was bar mining for a long time without a RAKE!!!!! even a small garden rake works great, get all the rocks into a pile, wash them off by dumping water then im paranoid so i wet classify the rocks.
