The United States needs to take a long hard look into the prisons here. A third world country does a 1000% better prisons than the USA is seriously embarrassing and shameful to our government.
My Son's Father was in an MS Gang in El Salvador! He was shot & killed 11 years ago by Police Officers that were doing Drug Deals with Him behind closed doors! I wish more People around the World would bring more awareness about Gangs! Gangs are so so so Stupid & there is so much more to life than being in a Gang! Thank You MURPHSLIFE ❤

The life there is hard. Not all Gang members are born into it. Some of them do what they have to do to Survive! Unfortunately for him he didn't Survive

Even though they did awful crimes, I kinda feel pity for them. They join these gangs when they are literal children and oftentimes it's just the natural path of their life given their surroundings and upbringing. They never know a different life and it's probably difficult to break free of this and I think there needs to be an intervention when it's still possible. These kids need to be taken care of. Education, future perspective, positive role models. But I guess spending money on the poor is not something that's very popular anywhere in the world...

You can't forget that some of these women have committed horrific crimes. The best you can hope for is that they have had a change of heart and help themselves and each other the best they can...and IF they ever see the world outside of those bars, hope that they will be good citzens.
Life isn't a game but some of us get played. I'm a dwi felon in the united States of America that recently applied to the city of Austin tx. I applied for driver helper at Austin resource recovery and couldn't move to the next step of hiring process because I don't have two professional references. Basically I'm not good enough to be a trash collector. I've been painting homes for over 20 years. 😂 I guess trash collection takes a very high degree of skill and education 😂 FYI I didn't hurt anyone while drinking and driving. I'm also 3+ years sober and no cigarettes

Being separated from their children and families is the punishment they receive from taking innocent people from their kids and families. Those immates are alive, and maybe will get out (if they didn’t unalive anybody) and reunite with their families and move forward. But what about the victims they robbed, tortured, caused a trauma? Those victims are going to live until their last day with the suffering those inmates inflicted on them. The inmates are suffering the consequences of their own actions, victims will live (if they survived) with the consequences of the actions of someone who cannot love their neighbours.

I saw another video recently which explained that pregnant mothers who enter prison can keep their children with them until the age of 5. When the child reaches 5 they have to leave the prison even if there are no family members to look after them in the outside world. Can something be done to help these children ie: a children's home

Nice to see prisenors learning a job for the moment they will get out. As for the gang members, as you say, it is normal that they all are completely cut from the ouside life. If your garden is full of weeds, you have to take all of them off and not let a piece on the soil if you do not want to work again a little later. So cut off the gang members and do not let them go out of confined jail but only if you are sure they will not be a gang member again but a honest citizen. What else can be done?

It must be one of the hardest things not knowing how your children are doing, being able to hold them, tell them how much you love them. Most of all not being able to stop them following in your own footsteps and making the same mistakes 😢 Here in the UK we fight every day to stop our children getting caught up in drugs and gangs. Every day you worry when you child steps out that door. Boy is it hard, especially when their friends are in them/ doing it. QUESTION. What would they say to their children/ families to stop them getting into the same situation?

@@AngeloLake-l5m and do you believe that by sitting and recording them and giving them a platform to portray how lost they are is what will inspire them to move beyond their circumstances and do the work? No. This idolizes them and gives them attention for being where they're at. Create a world that makes them have to reintroduce themselves to us as a better version of themselves. They did it in the past. I'm not against people being saved from themselves, but I won't sit here and pretend that this isn't enabling them.
