      Its pretty simple cause they dont like what they see, they see a young man riling up his nation for a struggle for a better future. A better future is not what some people want, well they want it only for themselves but not for others, when people lose all hope and all faith in an idea they stop caring about anything really, they will even allow themselves to become slaves, why resist when its simply pointless ? Thats the mindset some people want you to have in order to become their servant.

Democracy is so easily corruptible in such a small state. The gangs and criminal elements had this government by the balls for decades. Bukele's solutions are the first in this country's history that promise some sustainable reprieve from violence for a nation of people who would like nothing more than to be able to focus on development, improving people's living standards and retaining its own young people, instead of fighting civil wars and gang wars with democratically elected leaders who take bribes from the different factions to sustain the conflict and drug trades.

    Bukele has the balls, he even told the human right watch to fu@&, humans rights are for good citizens, humans rights are for every day workers, are not the same for criminal, the USA government doesn’t have the balls right now to face the criminal, one small example I hate seeing all those graffiti’s in freeways signs you can hardly read them, in my country if they catch you that’s a 5 years behind bars right now, in USA if you call the police probably they don’t even come, they are afraid if the guy falls and gets injured he could sue the government, and if he doesn’t get injured he spends maybe 2 days in jail, so the next week he is doing the same again, we don’t need more laws we just need to in force the laws, let’s put the criminal were they belong, too bad because is just going to get worse!

    I hope the people of El Salvador continue to do what they know is best for their country. I hope they don't listen to the opinions of Westerners who will pay no price for being wrong. These are the kinds of people who think letting criminals out of prison and defunding their police forces are bright ideas.

    In order to undertand Democracy " you have to look at your country's own policies and ask the same questions you are asking about El Salvador. There is now Freedom in El Salvador . the Republican party dominated the senate and all braches of Salvadorean Government for over 40 years and they stole Millions of $ from their Citizens. I do get why Bukele is doing what he is doing, wipping out corrupted politicians something that should have been done decades ago. I lost 5 nephews and nieces in El Salvador , I lost friends over the gang violence " where were their Human RIghts when they were killed , No one spoke out about this ?. The Goverment of El SAlvador was involved with the gangs and made a lot of money by money laundering, My family which is poor was extorted by gangs for over 15 years You can not be an expert on a foreing country policies when you have not lived there for one day.

    5,000 are still set free, but those innocent are not so innocent, they committed crimes like extortion but it was UNDER COERCION, so they are set free when the police prove they didn't do it voluntarily. Compared to before we have more rights than before: right to free movement, right to safety, right to social gatherings (we were not allowed to go to zones under enemy gangs of our neighborhood), sexual rights (before girls were raped and forced to have children for gangsters), economic rights (no more extortions). Why do you think we have less right now than when the government was run by the gangsters?

    Wow!!! I would call it ignorance. We the people of El Sslvador voted to give presiident Bukele the power to put gangs in jail, so we can live a normal life like you do in your country. That's it, very simple, go to El Salvador and ask people what is happening here, very simple.

He was perfectly safe, the locals said all the local gangsters had migrated to the US.

      @@hinthegroove9740 Wasn't that an interesting little factoid. It makes a lot of sense. I recently read that overall out migration from El Salvador to the US was down significantly. There was a recent mass escape from a super jail in El Salvador; next stop for the escapees, the US.

    • @Valentina.Montano
      @Valentina.Montano ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@amenbrother8818no, it was not an escape from jail, those guys were the ones who had not been captured yet, they got help from Mexican cartels to avoid the military and police. No gangster has escaped from prison in El Salvador.

    She is doing her analyses from home or she already went to El Salvador to do get them. It looks to me that she is been gathering all the negative info from the internet and talking based on what she sees. That is not how things are done.!! You need to to go to that specific country and ask the citizens their opinion and get your conclusions from there. Not just seating at home and looking throughout the internet what the opposition think and say. I want to see this lady go to El Salvador to gather more information in how people are living now under the president Bukele administracion. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

    This video amd these comments paint a very stark image of El salvador. The question I would ask. Do the goals justify the means? I do not live in El selvador, so I have no clue.
    What I see is a gang problem and a government using its last possible resort to tackle this issue. Is there a goal of when these emergency acts will end? Is it planned to return too a free press? How did the gang problem even become so critical to this nation and how does the emergency act promise to end theae problems?
