It's a very very useful video. Thanks to the uploader I easily changed the belt following his tips. Such acts of kindness makes life easier as we need not depend on outside help which, many times are not at all dependable. Thanks once again
Very very useful information...i changed the belt very easily since I have the same grinder in my home...in Kerala... Thank you so much dear Sir....🎉❤🎉🎉🎉❤🎉🎉
Thank you for posting this video. My grinder same model as yours stopped working almost 3 months ago.Its been sitting idle all along and we were borrowing a grinder from our friends every time we needed to grind batter.Your video was an eye opener and I completely missed the screw that was hidden beneath the warranty void seal.In my case the belt was not intact and I just had to realign it and voila it started working
Thank you for posting this video and how to find a replacement belt. For those seeking more technical information about Hutchinson belts I found it at: www.tradelinkservices.in/images/brochure-pdf/poly%20v-belts%20catalgoue.pdf I work neither for Hutchinson nor the company behind the link above. I happened to be curious about the belt and thought it might be of benefit for others to post this additional information. As noted in the reference above: The "PJ" signifies the thickness of the belt (3.5mm) which determines the minimum bend radius among other technical advantages / disadvantages. So note that a "P" followed by any other letter will NOT be the right belt to buy. The "P", I guess is for Polyamide (also known by the brand name "Nylon"). You maybe able to use other lengths with minor differences besides the specified858 mm, as the author of the video suggests. If have the really old model GV 001, then you need a standard 'V belt'. Not the one in the video or the details I provided above. The NAPA part number is 3L370W. This corresponds to 3/8" wide 370 mm long belt. This may help you locate other equivalents from a different manufacturer / supplier. Also if you have this old GV 001 model, you need to disassemble the motor from the molded plastic base, then the metal mounting plate, to remove the belt! This is an utterly thoughtless design, for belt replacement. It can however be modified to mount the motor in an 180 degree rotated position, so that you do not have to disassemble the motor again, to change a belt. With such a modification belt replacement will be as simple as described in the video above. It involves grinding off a bit of plastic ribs on the base where bolts holding the motor spacers hit them. A minor task that can be accomplished with a grinding tool (like a Dremel grinder). Of course if you have such an old model yo may choose not to make the modification I suggest. Maybe you will not have to change the belt again and some other irreplaceable part will send this grinder to a recycle center! JM
Thank you Bro.. Your video helped a lot. In my case I brought Grinder from India to suit US. But got damaged during transit. The base of the motor also broken which I had fixed but I was confused to fix this V belt.. Thank you for your video.
