A tip for trading settlements: always build a tier 1 military building like basic barracks. That increases the value of your settlement exponentially to an AI. Cheers
this is actually great guide for this faction thanks for updating it. also great job using all the tools u had at your disposal like speed building keep it up!
You can also confederate Ghrond and sell it to Valkia for a full alliance pretty easily. Just be careful not to ally both her and Hellebron because they will usually eventually go to war. Another fun option is to just go discover Scourge of Khaine. You can usually confed them before turn 20. Migrate over there and make good on Malekith's catch phrase: "Ulthuan shall be mine!" Bugs me when people say this campaign isn't fun. It's awesome.
Plss continue doing this guides! I am already subscribed, but i peomise i will like every guide to factions you release in the future. Maybe you can continue with Morathi? (my personal favourite) because her starting situation has experience important changes, and I'm interested in hearing your imput. Also, you could do polls to determine future guides?. Love you and keep up the good work ❤
Thanks Nicolas. Really appreciate you being here. :) Morathi is definitely on my agenda, as it drives me a little nuts that my old video is giving some sub-optimal information now! With regard to polls, I have considered it, but I've shied away from it for the moment, due to the unstable state of the game, with CA still changing a lot of things with each new patch. I'm wary of promising people I'll do a guide based on a poll, when I might find out that something major is due to change right after I release it. However, once the game is a bit more stable, it's something I will certainly revisit.
Shades are good, but Malekith is the last LL to rush them. Discounted darkshards are so much more cost efficient, that it's hard to justify building shades even in late game when you are rich, let alone this early.
The stealth advantage that they give for helping to take large settlements and tricky enemies, as well as providing a supplementary melee line, is worth the additional cost.
Thank you for the campaign guide, however I've noticed the past 5-6 times that I've tried this that Valkia takes Ashrak during the second end-turn. Playing on Legendary/VH. I'd love your expertise on how to proceed if I don't get to kill her until around turn 7 up north!
So the main thing is to ensure that you don't engage her until you have enough troops to deal with her. If you don't want to do it up north then you could sell her the Great Arena. When you do that she will typically go there with her army to initially protect it. From there you can attack her inside when she's trapped. The downside is that when doing that she is likely to be fully recovered and inside Dagrak's End when you go to take it, so personally I would rather take her on later, including bypassing Ashrak and taking it later on (after Dagrak's End, if needs be), to ensure that your declaration of war and the attack on her come in quick succession. Let me know how you get on.
Thanks, read my mind i was literally looking for this last night! Not played since before the instant building thing came in and did legendary Lokhir and Malekith, got any tips for Morathi, Rakarth or Hellebron?
@@WarmasterMoloch Awesome, one other thing I was wondering about as a returning player. The new A.I. stats slider, is reducing it to 0 enough to make a wider variety of dark elf melee units viable on Legendary/VH? I dont fancy another Shade spam campaign!
Thanks Brett, glad you liked it! I believe Masters are a DLC unit and they came out as a part of the Shadow and the Blade DLC. That's one of the best ones in the game, so we'll worth a look.
Little late to the party here, but your guides are awesome. Your none-cheese playstyle is great and reminds of ElichTV (another great player). Thanks for the dedication and hard work putting this series out... :D

Thanks mate! I'm really glad you liked it. I'm feeling another Malekith campaign coming on soon, so if it needs a second update, I'll be on it. :)

I always love a bit of Malekith. His was the first campaign I ever played in the Total War Warhammer series.
I’ve been waiting for this for so long 🎉
Hope you enjoy it!

I too have actually only played Malekith and Lokhir since the changes. However, Morathi is on my agenda for an updated guide, so watch this space!

@@gizamaluke2 Only just saw this. Yes, lowing the stats that much should help enough with the melee.
