An excellent comparison! Just what I was looking for. I just love your choices, from security, to SEO, to site speed to pricing, you treated everything that matters. Thanks a million!
This is exactly what I needed. I have been using WordPress and builders for years but I have decided to learn Webflow but needed to get a better understanding.
It’s crazy how so many people don’t know about Component libraries from Webflow partners. I build websites so much faster so I can focus on branding and ADA compliance. Being a Webflow designer, I can charge better pricing to clients for my efficiency. Wordpress needs a plug-in for almost everything. 😪
Thanks for this comment. Now I will be looking at it. I'm just starting to learn WebFlow right now coming from Wordpress > Wix > Now Webflow. I hate wordpress so much lol. I like Wix, but I want more flexibility so I'm learning Webflow now for a bigger project.
Tnx for honest answer not like most of youtubers who give some diplomatic answer. Right now l hesitate to buy Webflow course, but after this l will buy....
Thank you for this amazing comparison / breakdown of each side of these two products. I’m defiantly moving into Webflow, even though as you mentioned the learning curve is much steeper.
Have you tried Framer? I’m curious as a developer the thought of being able to add custom React code really appeals to me. I’m trying to decide which one to invest my time in as I move into freelance work.
Good video overall, but considering it's only 5 months old, it’s surprising she didn’t know that the newer generation of more “professional” WordPress page-builders - like Bricks and Oxygen - are vastly better than the older ones like Divi and Elementor, in many ways, but specifically on front-end performance and code efficiency. As a pro web dev, she should really explore these new builders and compare those sites to WebFlow.
Aahahah can't you read man? The video is 8 months old, not 5; so she may not have known about those because they are new man. Your arguments are fallacious.
@@BigBaibars You’re so funny! Yes, I can read. Can you do basic addition? My comment was 3 months ago, at which time the video was actually 5 months old. Regardless, Oxygen was released in July 2016, and Bricks in March 2021. So I certainly wouldn’t call Oxygen “new”, and given the topic of this video, I wouldn’t call Bricks “new” either. I just thought poeple might want to know that some infomation in the video isn’t entirely accurate or current, regarding the capabilites of WordPress, given what modern page-builders like Oxygen and Bricks provide.
@@htz70 my question is who will maintain the site .Word press is worst . Lets take a senario the world changed a lot companies want to automate things with less maintenance .If you want a stand alone site and no updates for 1 to 2 years build an css html site but it will look worst unless you know coding . then comes the domain, maintiance part you had to montior lets say if you get 100 clients all the best in managing them with broken word press updates, plugins ,failures etc bla bla bla.. but you just pay 16 dollars per month to webflow you are done.. the site will run in dynamic mode forever
what is the easiest application to use to produce a weekly (changing) online magazine. I'd really just like to be able to produce something in publisher (Adobe or MS) and just simply upload it, but it seems one can't do that. I was advised to use wordpress and did so 5 years ago and even purchased the so called "Newspaper" theme to help me. It was a total disaster and for 5 years I have paid for the website and the app and got absolutely no where. No one seems to know which utterly amazes me.
Hello good day If I may ask, given that I have a project to build for a client regarding a website integrating an AI tool, which he plans to monetize via a monthly subscription, but wants it to be done asap, I decided to cut down time in areas as much as I can, so would webflow aid with this knowing how notorious worpress is for their plugin compatibility upon updates which will be troublesome for maintenance? Or could anyone else have a better recommendation?
Plugins are both the best and worst things about Wordpress. And good hosting matters with Wordpress and you mentioned two of the best. I would add Cloudwaya as one I use extensively.
Hi Katie, thanks alot for the video, it was great. I want to get your opinion on what platform/source is best to learn webflow sites from beginner-advanced as fast and quickly as possible? Is it a specific Udemy course, or is it through their own Webflow university courses, Or any other resource that you think is the best and fastest way to learn?(Looking for a single resource, maybe a single long video that covers all/most of the stuff.)
The advantage of wordpress traditionally, was the sheer amount of plugins that added the functionality. Webflow has just added 'APPS' and this will change everything for webflow. Where it used to lag behind WordPress in the plugin space, now, there are no limits to webflow. Webflow APPS is brand new, so it doesn't have the sheer volume of stuff that WordPress has... But give it 6 months and you will see an explosion of free, freemium, or premium apps with webflow.
yeah and even turn it into a wp theme and use wp's cms from there on out. That way you can build really nice stuff in webflow and host on wp if you really want to
We flow is WAY more expensive. People here saying do the math, factor all the extra costs. Webflow charges for hosting - per site! With Wordpress you can run many sites on one hosting. If you have the e-commerce package in webflow it’s extremely expensive on a per site basis AND they take a transaction fee for each sale. Webflow users are the ones that need to do the math… properly.
As a designer, I prefer webflow over wordpress. webflow is definitely faster when designing. starting off with a blank canvas allows you to explore how you want your website to look. Wordpress's drag and drop causes it to be very slow and laggy and its just frustrating. Although webflow is a bit of a learning curve, once you understand it, you can do so much within in. from animations, mouse effect, axis movement, lottie and 3d(C4D) animations.
Hello. I'm developing a website. I want to configure form profile it so that users can change their email and password in their profile. I don't want to use your pop-up form. How do I do this?
As someone that uses wp for work but builds on webflow for personal projects, from personal experience and in this video, Webflow is a very clear winner.
For small sites that you know won’t require lot of work , ide say go for WP. It’s cheaper . Also you can rent a VPS and earn hosting from your WP clients . I’m building a hosting business atm. Would you be down for working together as an affiliate ? 😊
Precisely! With one addition. Anyone criticizing Webflow based on cost, has not analyzed the cost of everyhing-the maintenance, headaches, upgrades, replacements, etc. For the most part, because webflow does lack some functionality and it has not been developed by the ecosystem yet, Webflow is the best choice for ANY business. (Do the ROI folks!)

Let's Flow Katie, no more headaches with WP... Webflow is Freestyle of the we design platforms... I'm switching today.
That was incredibly helpful. Thank you very much!
Excellent!!! I think you helped me make my final decision!!!
thank you great support !

humble, educational and fun! Loved watching your video KC
Minute 8:02 you mention woo commerce is for SEO . I think you meant to say for the cart and shopping. 😊
Yeah came to the comments to point that 😅
very usfull. Thanks ur amazing
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome video!
Great video, it was very clear and helpful! Thank you very much!
Hey great video!
What are your thoughts on Ghost?
Not much to say about this comprehensive creation you gave us the privilege to indulge, I liked the video and I also like you😜
Is Webflow suitable for creating ecommerce sites? I've heard that it's not so flexible at this time.
amazing job!
Thank you! :)

I am currently using cloudways! Excellent!
Thanks much. Great comparison.
thanks a lot
Make more vids like this and you'll end up being a huge TH-camr. You have 732 subs as of now but with the skills of a 1M subs content creator.

Webflow has gone up in price. CMS is now $23/mo billed yearly.
Sounds like a Webflow ad.

Wordflow and Webprrss are far more superior than WordPress and Webflow.
webflow is bloated hahahaa
how? Its way cleaner than wp, doesn't add unnecesary code, and like mentioned in the video is way faster than wp sites.
Do you offer a Webflow course?
