I think it was Blade that started the MCU

Marvel’s biggest problem is its inability to move on from the OG Avengers. End Game was supposed to be the end of the Avengers. But those characters became so polarizing that most fans can’t let go of the past. Honestly, after End Game, Marvel should’ve just created a new MCU in an alternate universe. A universe with mutants and the X-Men.
The current MCU essentially got to big with too many characters making it impossible to introduce new characters organically. The Eternals proved that when everyone kept asking “where were they this whole time”. And nobody is really giving the newer characters a chance at this point.
Lastly, I think the TV shows were a good idea on paper, but they simply watered down and the entire MCU.

I think you're absolutely 💯 right but to add to that they rushed to their more modern lesser known, mantle replacement diversity characters far too quickly when they still had many a listers to choose from while organically and slowly adding more original diverse characters alongside them just like they did to success with phase 1 and 2. Why are we only seeing fantastic four and the X Men now? As soon as Disney got the rights they should've pulled6the trigger on that shit immediately, established them then maybe 8 years after phase 3 bring back the OG avengers for secret wars but nooo you had to try to appeal to twitter instead of your fans by making the all new all different cast as your focus, big mistake.

@@DoubleO88 I think it was more or less because of money. I believe the X-Men directors were still under contract so they would've gotten $$$. The Deal was done in 2019 and I think they had a lot of Phase 4 mapped out already. And I think the "fans" are partially to blame for all of this. I distinctively remember fans being ok with Disney + pumping out shows, as well as the 4 movie a year plan. Spoiler/Rumor culture has also ruined the experience because a lot of fans try to write the entire script and when the movie comes out different, they complain. The fan base has also changed. Iron Man came out in 2008. that's 16 years ago.
