Sorry for being 7 years late, the reason this series was never released was due to problems over the episode involving Harlech Castle, where Dan was accused of plagiarism. His presentation was very similar to a rival show on Channel 4, and problems arose, so the BBC felt it better not to attract attention and bury the series.

0:15 - I have no idea how those documents survived the fire. They would be the first thing to go up in flames you would have thought. Keeping them in the Victoria Tower seems a little bit careless, as parliament is a huge target, and if a terrorist attack happens, then those documents of our history will be lost forever. Maybe when the renovation works beings in 2025, they will move them out to somewhere more secure.
