    Very informative video.
However i would like to take in account about the salary. Initially 70k/year for students is just absurd. People usually receive salary in the bracket of 50 to 60k/year. You'll atleast need 3 years of experience to get 70k/year. He's explaining the things perfectly but as a student owning a house after 5 years is very very difficult. I mean it would take you 2 to 3 years to reach for the mentioned salary. Also you have to deduct expenses, your study loan and a dozen of insurances. Above all you should be able to afford several maintenances the house requires.
I don't intend to demoralise anyone, it's just the things you should take into account before buying a house. It's a very big deal to buy a house in canada when compared to INDIA.
    Peace!!

2 or 3 years of studies as a student than 5 years of plan it means it will take 7 to 8 years for students🙃

How can one be so sure that he or she will get 70k/year. You atleast need 3 years of experience to receive the said salary. It would roughly take 8 to 10 years to buy a house of your own. The math is correct but the values are a bit strange in his calculation. 👍

Hey Parul, the max you can withdraw tax free from Rsp under Home buyers plan is $35000. So saving more than that for the purpose of home purchase may not be a great idea. It has to be a combination of tfsa and rsp. Disclaimer: it can be different for different circumstances and goals

Hello sir, it was a great video and was very informative for anyone who is planning to settle in Canada.
I had one question and that is, what kind of s&p 500 are you talking about because there are some which are US based (listed on NYSE)and some Canada based (listed on TSX).
For example: VOO is US based and is bought in US dollars whereas VFV (same as VOO) is bought in Canadian dollars.
They both are the same but the only difference is that VFV came 10 years back with relatively less volume and returns earned whereas VOO has been there for a while so it has higher volume and relatively higher returns.
As I’m based in Canada should I go with VFV even if it’s relatively new comparing VOO or should I entirely invest in VOO s&p 500.
I would really appreciate it if you can make me (or anyone else) understand about this.

First from RRSP to arrange down payment and then pay monthly to RRSP for a period of 5 years. Secondly, mortgage financing for remaining amount of the house. Am i right..??? if not will you please elaborate a bit.
