- In this video, I talk about some of the basic ways of saving money as an International Student in Canada. As we know that students are allowed to work maximum 20 hours per week so it becomes very important to save money as a student to pay fee and support family.

The problem with Canada is not just students but even with working professionals. In Canada, there are hardly 3 or 4 cities where jobs are there and most top colleges or any other colleges are only near that city. Everyone wants to live near, study and then work near Toronto (GTA, Kitchener, Hamilton) or Vancouver. Maybe Ottawa, Montreal or Calgary but very less. There are hardly any options for tech jobs outside Toronto or Vancouver.
Whereas if you look at US, top universities are distributed all over the country, with small college town. This causes the cost to be low and university funding is top notch, making finding GRA or even campus part time jobs very easy. Also, if someone don't want to live or work in NYC or San Fransisco bay area, there are 40 other cities where person can find a tech job. The only killer thing about US is if you are born in India, then PR takes several decades.
