Ah he is well set up now, and has economies of scale on his side, and should have no more necessary capital expenses for at least 20 years, they will power ahead! If he encounters problems he can sell that Fendt!! 😂
@Tadhg Hannon Even with auto scrappers, still not the job. If cattle are housed all year, the dry dung just piles up and the passages become slippery even if grooved. Neighbour has a 300 odd solid floor shed with the bells and whistles and he will be first to admit it’s not the job especially when his dry cows are on a slatted shed.
and the cows NEVER get to see pasture. thats not farming. imagine if you had to stay in a building all your life. when we built our free stall we included 25 acres of pasture. my neighbor has no pasture wwe compare issues of cattle. GUESS WHAT??? in 2018 my neighbor put in 10 acres of pasture in 2019 he added 5 more acres in 2020 he added another 5 acres. he sees the benefit of cows that are allowed to go lay in grass if they choose
Mother of god, some money in that! The neatest set up ive ever seen in an Irish dairy, best of luck to them! Tis some yard.
Everything galvanised too.
the price of milk wouldn’t want to fall much for a greenfield site like this. Some yard. Best of luck to him.
He will want it I say

Get onto Tom Pemberton - he's looking at redesigning his farmyard

Very impressive. Can I ask what the eaves height and roof pitch is for those sheds? Where there is a protected ridge, what is the opening width?
Jesus that place is savage some set up and credit to how clean the tidy the place is kept, where abouts is it,,?
No open cubicles either! What part of Ireland is this?

Dang , that is sweet. Had to cost some BIG coin.
Someone hit the lottery to build that, but the only thing is that those bunkers are a little to close to the buildings.
How many head cows
Is that a rotoflow parlor?
Cool..
Where is this.???
Any guide on how much this cost?
killickfarms a lot
Biggest flaw with that housing shed is no slatted tank. Solid floors is a No No. Complete nightmare. Great looking place though.

This is a grass-based system cows are out grazing just housed for winter.
The cows in the field and the grazed grass in the drone shot at the end should probably have given that away...
