kirby lore is... WAY more messed up than it should be. like they decided kirby was so cute they had to balance it out with having him fight satan as the miniboss of every game
I wasn’t surprised Kirby won. Kirby regularly fights eldritch horrors embodying monsters and even defeated an elder god that was dubbed ‘Destroyer of Worlds’.
@@KingBeckwood Wich ones ? Kiaoshin is also a multiversal God doesn't mean much for scaling. I'm doing some research but I read that Kirby gets help in some battles and that allot of people wank his powers.
@@donsq4306 As somebody who's played a ton of Kirby games, I believe the main god they are referring to is Void Termina (or just Void if you're referring to its perfect form) whose power is so immense that it can create objects with the ability to alter reality along with just casually destroying reality just by existing as stated in the game (it's never shown but that's due to the Void Termina in the story mode being incomplete although you can fight its complete form in one of the extra modes but considering it still adds lore despite being non-canon, it seems to imply that the intention behind adding that boss was to show that Kirby was in fact capable of destroying its true form). Also, as if that wasn't enough, Kirby is the same species as Void just much younger and he was capable of defeating Void; a fully grown version of his species. Scaling Void actually leads me to believe that it's even stronger than the Destroyer Gods from Dragon Ball since its mere awakening destroyed a star-sized fortress that it was contained within (and we can be sure this is its raw power and not any kind of hax due to its very nature being destructive as Kirby later fights it on a much smaller platform which is being hit by attack after attack from Void but yet it only gets destroyed Void explodes upon defeat). Also, although Kirby's friends were there, it is shown in the final scene before Void Termina's defeat that Kirby by himself is stronger as Void shoots a laser at Kirby which Kirby is both able to match and overpower, then Void uses all of its remaining power to make the beam stronger which Kirby responds by putting more effort into it and is again able to overpower it which then leaves it exhausted for the final attack where Kirby uses all of his friendship powers to destroy it... although it IS important to note that Kirby gets much, MUCH stronger between games and he's had one mainline game after Void where he fights a being named Fecto Elfilis who can rip holes between dimensions much like Buu... except Elfilis doesn't even try, it opens these rifts just by waving its hand (this isn't hax either as Elfilin, a fragment of Elfilis which holds inherits its abilities to open these rifts actually strains itself using this ability, showing that it actually requires a lot of energy to do, Elfilis is just THAT powerful). It even eventually absorbs energy of pure chaos from the Kirby universe's grim reaper; Morpho Knight to become Chaos Elfilis which makes it much faster and stronger and even capable of creating a giant clone of itself... it also warps reality just by using more of its power, shown by the sky distorting into a bunch of weird colours when it screams to power up. Also, I know this is a lot so far but there's also the fact that Kirby has been called 'a being of infinite power' by a scientist in the games whose whole job was to create powerful machines for planetary domination, so I feel like they know their stuff. This is also further proven by the fact that there has not been a confirmed way that Kirby can actually be killed, every single time you get a game over in almost every single game, Kirby simply goes to sleep before getting back up again... obviously this shouldn't be counted as canon as it's a gameplay mechanic but it's interesting to see that despite the really messed up lore they create for Kirby involving death, eldritch abominations and malformed bodies by said eldritch entities, they never once show Kirby dying even when you get a game over... like, not even him just lying there where it's vague enough to the point where children could say "Well, maybe he's just sleeping?" Anyways, that's my very brief summary of Kirby's strongest enemies, sorry for the wall of text that you almost definitely didn't read!
@@lukasruston8618 Maybe you could help me out. From my short research some people scale him to low multiversal or 3-A , 2-A and some people don't scale him even at tier 4-A since there are no feats appearently. If this is true I don't see Kirby defeating fat buu at all. There does seem to be allot of wank in this community. Only scan I found from the void where it stated him "as the destroyer of worlds" wich could mean many things. Buu was stated the destroyer of the universe wich also could mean many things. Also is I have no clue if this destroyer is canon I assume he is but no way he scales up to Beerus. Even a far weaker TOP Goku scales to multiversal easely heck even BOG Goku showed better feats than Destroyer. Fighting against a heavely holding back Beerus.
Originally it was suggested that this death battle was supposed to be Ditto from Pokemon and Kirby from Kirby. But after a little research, they found the fight to be too one sided with Kirby that they decided to change the opponent to Majin Buu
Problem is, it's not that much less one-sided. Kirby could stomp Beerus and Whis together without trying that hard, and even has a better than even shot at crushing Zeno. And yes, I know Zeno is literally omnipotent. Kirby's taken down literally omnipotent foes before; Magolor with the Master Crown is described as having "limitless power," which is what omnipotence *_is._* So, yeah...
@@Lycanthromancer1 yeah no, kirby barely edges a win with current goku who we KNOW is weaker than beerus. Kirby COULD be capable of matching them- but we can only go on his current feats which would secure him as maybe on par with beerus
@@FranTheNerdKirby survived and fought a super-powerful boss inside of a planet-sized black hole, has several MFTL feats (including escaping said black hole from the inside), and is strong enough to kill literally omnipotent beings on par with Zeno, such as Master Crown Magolor and Galactic Nova, both of whom can create and/or destroy entire universes on their own, at will. There's literally nothing that even Superman could do to or against him, let alone DBS Goku, _let alone_ DBZ-era Majin Buu.
@@Lycanthromancer1 Goku and Beerus almost destroyed the universe *by accident* at the *beginning* of Super, and Superman has feats that blow that out of the water. Also, if Nova's omnipotent, how did Mr Shine and Mr Bright stop it from destroying Pop Star?
@@JoeThomas-lu6fyThe Kirby universe is filled with planet-busters, galaxy-busters, and universe-busters. Even low level enemies would be endgame boss encounters in other series. Yeah, this Death Battle really put into perspective just how insanely powerful Kirby is. Sakurai really wanted his "son" to overcome any obstacle. And if you ever get the chance, check out some Kirby lore, because there is a lot more to the series than what is on the surface.
They actually did Buu completely wrong in this one. Buu was a universal level threat not just planetary. And he never faced light speed before? Please, these are Saiyan saga feats at best😂
@@yodad5259 Kirby at this point still beat a being that could think universes out of existence, and has actually gotten way stronger since- like multiversal level.
Yeah I think it was all official voice clips, including stuff from Kirby's voice actress in other games (the fighting game stuff if I remember correctly)
Yeah, this is fairly early in Death Battle, back before they had the money and/or connections to hire VAs for every death Battle. There's a few I can think of that just used voice clips for fight dialogue rather than voice overs.
I have no clue how people enjoy this low effort video. There are so many issues here but I still remember when they stated Buu was being hurt by bullets. You either kill Buu or you don't. Slight remarks like this and big mistakes aswell, as if Buu is bullet level now lmao. It's a complete joke of a video. Their research back then was even below amature level.
@@donsq4306It's especially telling in just how much they massively lowballed Kirby. C'mon guys, he's strong and durable enough to fight while inside a planet-sized black hole with no problems whatsoever and is fast enough to fly out of it while manually avoiding obstacles getting sucked in. Not to mention the "frying pan/monster throwing" feat being a MFTL feat, _not_ just an escape velocity feat. He didn't just throw it out of the atmosphere; he threw it all the way to the sun in back within seconds. He absolutely Kirb-stomps.
@@Lycanthromancer1 How does he stomp ? If that's the only feat you can bring compared to a being that actually destroys galaxies over time this is win for Buu. Not saying it will be a stomp but Buu wins for sure.
@@donsq4306Buu destroys galaxies one planet at a time. That means he's a planet-buster, or perhaps a solar system-buster, at most. Kirby regularly stomps holes in universe-busters, and not even Beerus or Whis counts as that. The combined force of Beerus and SSG Goku couldn't even destroy the planet next to them with their punches, so the shockwaves weren't *_that_* powerful. Meanwhile, Kirby can shatter planets with a punch and has done so on multiple occasions, and he often tanks attacks that themselves destroy universes. It takes ki blasts for DB characters to do stuff like that, and Kirby is more than capable of either inhaling one and returning to sender or just tanking it and shrugging it off, as he does. The only time Kirby has ever actually been harmed has been when someone sneaks up on him while he's sleeping. Even "dying" in the games is only Kirby deciding it's nap-time and coming back for round 2 later. He's just a baby, after all. He needs his naps.
@@Lycanthromancer1 You realise what galaxies are my dude? You can't destroy galaxies by only destroying planets. It mostly consists of stars. And even if he were a large star buster for example wich Freeza already was pure scaling wise it would take him an eternity to the point he would pose no threat to the universe. So your scaling is wrong even Cell was solar busting level are we regressing now in power? Buuhan tear down dimensions by powering up nearly destroying a big multiverse in Z. Even tough Fat buu is far weaker than Buuhan he is still stronger than solar system level by far. Planet level in Z is Raditz level like it's nothing special. Even Roshi destroyed the moon. "often tanks attacks that themselves destroy universes" Maybe you could help me with providing canon scans because I never see beings like the void actually destroying the universe or anything. While the Death Battle team has admitted most of the stats of this fight are outdated, most agree that the verdict is still correct, as Kirby has effortlessly tanked black holes, keeps up with Meta Knight, whom can travel between galaxies in about 2 seconds, and fights dimensional and multiverse ending devil beings on the regular, ones that dwarf Buu completely.
Kirby Lore is like the final boss of Lore Nerds. It's a tier above even stuff like Dark Souls. Kirby games usually start with a fight against a tree with a face and end up against a giant flying eye that's crying blood
There's a reason Kirby games are so happy go lucky. He's so stupidly powerful that even when saving the world it's nothing more than a colourful romp through the place
You guys finally made it! When i found your channel through Abridged, and I then saw your Death Battle Bets, I thought you would've already checked this out. Happy to see you two made it this far. I agree Super Buu might've been a significant factor in the fight. His cunning is the one thing he absolutely has has Kirby (besides offensive power [without any absorption]). Even then, I think the fight still ends with Super Buu getting mad/impatient and then throwing something at Kirby that's strong enough to wipe him out when rebounded. Finally, since I'm a Kirby nerd, the info on him here is misleading. Most of the significant stuff like his backstory, the frying pan, and the star rod (not the rest of the warp star stuff) are from the old TV show. In the 10 years since this video released [Game]Kirby Lore has been filling in the gaps and honestly makes the matchup *worse* for Buu. ...maybe for his victory you should watch some Kirby Lore? 👀
Yeah we do have some Kirby Lore videos to check out that have been on our request list for awhile and we held off on this vid to avoid spoilers for dbz 😅
I think they're holding out on Dragon Ball Death Battle episodes until they're caught up, but Silver vs Trunks should be safe since it covers Xeno Trunks and not the canon one.

@wingedbluj1674 yea, I didnt even think about that one, although it's not quite up to par with the others imo. Except the music of course, dragon dance is amazing
This death battle to this day is 1 of my favorite of the early death battles made, the expressions on kirby are adorable and so much was funny then topped off with a sick battle
As Kirbo once said: "Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me. Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men. The mighty are gathered against me; awake to help me, and behold." (RECITING FROM PSALM 59)
YES! I have been WAITING for this one!! I freaking LOVE Kirby! When this episode came out, my coworkers and I talked about it and everyone but me sided with Majin Buu. I stuck with Kirby and kept telling them they were underestimating him. Although I almost teared up when Kirby falls over and slams the ground in despair when Buu has the planet killing ball in his hand at the end. But my little puff ball pulled through! To add some context, Death Battle typically doesn't allow outside help, unless that is specifically in the character's ability kit (like a Summoner or Necromancer, for example). That's why Buu didn't tap into the other forms of Super Buu. He needed Gohan/Piccolo/Gotenks to get to those forms and that would've been outside help to them
I see you guys reacted to this old one. Definitely one of my favorites. As with a bunch of other people in the comments I see, I recommend reacting to Kirby lore videos. Specifically the ones made by TheRPGMonger, if you do.
@@JayJayM57 Buu saga is, Z fighters don't let Buu make people candy, Buu kills earth - starts killing the universe world by world till he finds where said fighters are hiding
Kirby is one of those characters where the point of them is that they just, will always triumph no matter what due to pure goodness. He's a mini Superman. What's crazy is that the new games that have released since this episode was made, make him even more powerful, and also rewrite his origin story, with the old one only ever being mentioned in the anime which was made fully non-canon by the new backstory. Tldr he is the outcome of the all powerful force that drives the universe being exposed to powerful positive emotion, and he has fought an incarnation of the opposite (negative emotion) which ended up being a deity so powerful that an ancient race of unbelievably advanced scientists and mages lost their MINDS from fear upon discovering it. These were people with the power to effect the whole universe this thing terrified them, and this thing is related to KIRBY
Only when you use inconsistent standards to scale them. When you use the same standards for both, Kirby loses to Buu pretty hard. Things like taking statements literally for Kirby (IE, when people say that Kirby has infinite power, because a pause screen says he has infinite power.), while simultaneously ignoring statements for DB characters (like the fact that Cell was directly stated to have infinite power, which means he would be equal to Kirby in this hypothetical scenario.). Or there are people who take the cosmology of Kirby into account when scaling things like Void Termina, scaling it up to multiversal, sometimes they even go up to outer. Yet at the same time, they completely ignore the Dragon Ball cosmology, which scales the macrocosm 5 tiers beyond outerversal (and that isn't even the highest the scaling can go.). ETC.
I guess Buu's head "protuberance" might be like an antenna directly connected to his brain, as when using it he can basically manifest anything he can think of by manipulating materia, take when turning people into biscuits or chocolate or making a toilet cabin out of a big rock. Buu like Kirby might not be the brightest in crayon box, but sure has an enormous potential of becoming a mighty warrior.
we have all be waiting for this one but yes check out kirby lore really messed up stuff for a cute little pink puffball......who was all white in his first appearance
I never played Kirby games but I did watch the anime so you could say that in some way, Kirby is part of my childhood. Imagined my surprise as an adult when I've read some people posting online about how Kirby was an "eldritch abomination" and tried to find what is this all about. Found the lore and bam! Childhood ruined, ruined I say! 😂
If you two have the time, you got to check out Kirby's Lore. A youtuber named The Rpg Monger has 2 vid's that goes through Kirby's Lore in it's entirety.
Y'all should probably watch the Kirby lore video which that was made a few years back Breaking down all just how ridiculously over power the pink puff truly is
This episode was a real reality check to non Kirby fans about how absurdly powerful he truly is. Most people just knew him from Smash Bros where he is a flea compared to his true power
I don't know if this would help in the betting process but maybe both of you talk it out and then either say who you think is going to won and do the money amount in secret or after both you talk about your opinions then you write down your winner and money amount. Just something to consider. Either way great reaction. I can't wait to see the reactions to the RWBY Death Battles
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm retroactively thankful for this Death Battle by giving you both the original English Faulconer musical tracks for Buu that the Kai dub didn't have. The tracks for Majin Buu and Super Buu are so awesome, it sucks they were cut for the Japanese score wholesale.
Yeah, Kirby is literally the cutest and arguibly deadliest monster in existence. I dunno what the people making his games were smoking, but they probably thought there was too much sunshine and rainbows, so they injected some straight up cosmic horror to balance it out lol
once kirby went hypernova it was over... i mean hypernova kirby's inhale is strong enough to break the 4th wall including inhaling enemy health bars... once you get to powers that effect the 4th wall the 4th wall breaker wins every time
the only argument I don't like in this battle is the explosion comparison, when Kid buu was blowing up planets he blew them into nothingness which is why he got blown into chunks, the explosion that they use for Kirby did NOT harm Popstar at all and barely fazed Kirby either.
The only thing I disagree with on this Battle is them taking Buu's lack of durability as a direct negative since how Buu works is that, as you two have seen, either *you kill him* or *you don't.* His actual durability barely matters when he can reform from being completely atomised. Complete disintegration was the only way to get rid of him.
The thing is they like to bring up the 'planet sized explosion' thing with Kirby and also with Dedede and it's just... not an explosion. The only one harmed in the 'explosion' was the boss who made the explosion when they died, and it did literally no damage to anyone or anything around it. Like, if it was an explosion, you'd expect Pop Star to be damaged... and it wasn't. Like, if it was an explosion, wouldn't you expect all life on Popstar to be destroyed if it was that sort of explosion?
Kirby fans seem to underestimate just how ridiculous the DB power scaling is. Buu nearly destroyed multiple dimensions by releasing his power uncontrolled (though this is an anime only feat, the canon guidebooks directly address it, indicating that its something that Buu does have the power to accomplish.), is is repeatedly stated to be capable of destroying the universe. This is before we even get into the cosmology of Dragon Ball, which makes Kirby look like a joke by comparison.
@@MorgBoat8654 And Dragon Ball fans seem to underestimate how wild Kirby lore is. Considering Kirby can move at the speed of light and has beaten beings capable of creating their own dimensions and creatures that threaten entire universes rather than just 'nearly destroying' dimensions. As for the cosmology of Kirby looking like a joke… you’ve literally just proven you have no clue how anything in Kirby works. Good job!
@@ShadowdaHedgie11 I know quite a lot about Kirby, none of your arguments so far are surprising to me. However, I'm also aware of the Dragon Ball power scaling, which makes the Kirby power scaling look like child's play by comparison (hence the above paragraph, which I'm sure you will try to argue against.). Buu easily takes the fight. Whether you use the standards that they presented in the above video (which are far more grounded, but they ultimately ignore a number of points that go in Buu's favor, such as the fact that Goku was blitzing literal light as a child, and the fact that they were already capable of planet busting capabilities early in OG Dragon Ball at the latest.), or if you take standards that Kirby fans generally use to high ball Kirby (where you start throwing around statements like "multiversal", and "infinite."), so long as you use the same standards for both characters, Buu is the more powerful character.
@@MorgBoat8654 It's pretty clear you don’t actually know a lot about Kirby. Even in the video, the only thing that could be considered 'high balling' would be Kirby surviving a planet sized explosion. But then again, since Kirby has survived black holes (and is even fast enough on foot to avoid being pulled into said black hole) it's a fairly safe bet that he would survive a planet sized explosion. As for other things… when they calculated Kirby's strength, they were actually low balling him, since they didn’t factor in the return trip or the frying pan, just how much strength it'd take for Kirby to throw said creature to the sun. Not that that matters, considering brute strength wasn’t one of the deciding factors. It is not high balling at all to say that some of the final bosses of Kirby were capable of destroying the universe. Especially when it comes to creatures like Elfilis and Void Termina. Or that in the anime Kirby did some ridiculously insane stuff. Hell, even in some of the mini games, Kirby's done ridiculous feats, from being able to punch a planet into two pieces with a single punch, or hitting a meteor with a baseball bat to send it 9999 light years in seconds, smashing through multiple planets in the process. If you know anything substantial about Kirby, you know that Buu was outmatched. Dragon Ball isn’t the epitome of power scaling and doesn’t have the strongest characters.
Huh, i thought you had already done this one, guess not. Anyway, i hope you do Captain Marvel vs Shazam at some point. Also, do you know that Hazbin Hotel has finally Started officially?
I don't know anything about Kirby so I won't say I know who would win, but I DO know about Buu, and DB did him dirty. A planet-breaking ball of energy is nothing to Buu; he has way more power than that (as illustrated by the fact that he can generate that much energy without even breaking a sweat). He should've been more than capable of deflecting that energy ball since it came from him. Goku's Spirit Bomb only pinned him because it was FAR more energy than is necessary to destroy a planet.
They downplayed kirby more, believe it or not. Magalor could think universes away and Kirby just....beats him without breaking a sweat. Like something that would of taken buu millions of years to do kirby beat someone who could do that in an instant
I’m not an expert on Kirby lore but apparently Kirby beat a deity that allegedly had influence over the real world so Kirby is just a silly guy who solos DBZ lol
I really recommend that you watch some one piece content like every one piece intro, or maybe some death matches with one piece characters! I just think it would be pretty cool to see you guys to watch some one piece content 😊
The lore death battle brought up for Kirby is outdated and from the anime. To summarize the new game lore, Kirby is what happens when the original creator god called Void reincarnates under the influence of pure positive emotion. So Kirby is the elder god of Happiness and destruction. Makes it make a bit more sense when he wakes up to find his cake missing and decides to kill a god.
Ok, going off of the concepts of the characters, using the cosmology to scale them? Lets do that. Buu is the embodiment of chaos in, at minimum, universe 7. Each macrocosm in Dragon Ball consist of 8 separate realms, the two smallest of which are infinite 5 dimensional constructs, the next larger one is an infinite construct that transcends at least space and time (but can be interpreted to transcend dimensionality as a whole.), and each of the rest are transcendentally larger than the previous. So basically, Buu is a 5 tier outerversal transcendent anti god. Does Kirby still sound impressive? I know quite a lot about Kirby, none of your arguments so far are surprising to me. However, I'm also aware of the Dragon Ball power scaling, which makes the Kirby power scaling look like child's play by comparison (hence the above paragraph, which I'm sure you will try to argue against.). Your next paragraph is based on hyperbolic statements, so lets do that as well. Buu was stated to be capable of destroying the Kaioshin realm, which is the above infinite sized 5 tier outerversal transcendent realm. So Kirby's multiversal scaling is just not impressive, when we use consistent standards.
I don't wanna be "that guy" but, I'm gonna suggest something, maybe you guys should ban being able to make the same bet. Because if you don't, whoever is ahead can simply keep matching the other's bet and never lose the lead. I think the idea you guys had of writing down the bet without showing each other was the way to go.
Too busy relying on the bugged censorship algorithm to care, it's why many folks exploit loopholes such as saying "Austrian painter" in relation to an infamous past world leader lol!
I don’t remember much about the discourse of this fight when it was announced, it being one of the early Death Battles, but this fight and its outcome actually catapulted Kirby and his franchise into the powerscaling discussion. Most believed Buu would win at the time, including me. Kirby’s only gotten more crazy feats ever since, and while he probably doesn’t beat Buu as he is in Dragon Ball Super, he most certainly defeats Z Buu if he didn’t before. You should look at videos of Kirby lore. They can be pretty interesting.
In terms of dragon ball super the only argument would be beerus and above, kirby SHOULD barely edge a win over goku even if we're generous with current scaling. Not Heroes or xeno goku tho
@@FranTheNerd I’m not sure if Kirby can blow up our universe 1500 times over though (according to DB’s Goku vs Superman 3). We don’t have a scale for the Kirby universe after all, or the dimension that collapse after Magolor’s defeat. I think we’d have figured that out by now. And even if it was infinite, the Dragon Ball universe is multiple infinities stacked upon each other according to many. If Buu could comfortably fight restrained Blue Goku pre-ToP, I feel that’s more than enough power to wipe Kirby, even despite the Copy Ability. Of course, we haven’t seen many feats of Buu in DBS, and Moro was stated to be a weaker enemy than a lot of what the Z Fighters had to fight against. But I seriously doubt Kirby would be able to fight Goku or Vegeta as they currently stand, unless you got some calcs or feats to prove otherwise.
@@gallantblade1825 he absolutely can, Being able to destroy a being who's existence spans across the multiverse is WAYYY more impressive a feat than anything DBS goku has done
@@FranTheNerd Ignoring how defeating Void took the literal power of friendship to finish it off, is it confirmed that Void spans the multiverse? Is there proof that its defeat shook multiple universes at once? Also there’s the argument that a finite multiverse is smaller than 1 infinite universe, but that’s more semantic-y.
i wanna bet on kirby, but knowing if he somehow manages to eat Buu, he can just scream his way out...Im siding with Buu on this one, especially with the candy beat and raw power xD
Am i the only one who thinks that blast couldnt kill buu and this battle would have been stale mate? Because he has hit that at a planet thousands of times and come back from the explosion. The reason the spirit bomb did something was because it was literal billions of mini spirit bombs from the whole population of earth.kirby cannot come up with that kind of power?
I'm sorry though, I still don't agree with this outcome. Buu's speed was far beyond light speed. Blowing up a planet was easy for Vegeta in the Saiyan saga, and Buu is likely millions of times stronger. When Buu eats you, you die, unlike Kirby. Buu would be able to throw that planet burst back once he saw Kirby inhale it, since he would instantly learn the hypernove move and be able to rebound it. The planet would blow, and Kirby would be floating in space. Buu reforms behind him. Turn to chocolate. Done.
I wonder how a rematch between these 2 would go with the new dragon ball scaling. This was pre super so a lot of those Kirby feats aren’t so impressive anymore
I get the feeling it would still be the same; since the time when this came out, Kirby has gotten stronger too what with fighting beings like Star Dream who is literally like an eternal dragon from Dragon Ball except way more durable, Void Termina whose power was casually going to destroy reality just by him being around, the embodiment of death of his universe; Morpho Knight, and even Fecto Elfilis and even more so; Chaos Elfilis which could use its power to tear rifts between dimensions with just a wave of its hand along with distorting reality just by powering up and Kirby beat Chaos Elfilis without any clear indication that he was really putting in any effort which really speaks to how quickly he gets stronger since he had to try pretty hard and even get a power boost from a friend to beat an only semi-complete Fecto Elfilis only like a day earlier whilst Chaos Elfilis should be waaaaay more than just a lot stronger considering it is essentially a fully complete Fecto Elfilis powered up by the energy of pure chaos from the aforementioned Morpho Knight.
Still a kirby stomp. Buu scaling to goku somewhat would make him multi univseral and give him the speed advantage but kirby is multiversal and WAYYY tougher and more skilled
Calling yourself a heater in the context of dragonball is pretty funny. I wouldnt look it up because its super spoilers and that part hasn't even been adapted to anime yet..
Funfact: The newest Kirby game at the time of this recording was Triple Deluxe. Since then, we have gotten 3 new major releases, meaning Kirby has only gotten more powerful since then, such as taking down even more powerful foes, getting his own mech, able to befriend enemies with hearts, upgrading certain copy abilities into more powerful forms, and some very big lore implications on what Kirby might actually be. Meanwhile, Buu has..... not done much of anything noteworthy. So this fight is now even more in Kirby's favor.
Buu got some pretty major stuff in the manga, and you could argue scaling to Goku to get him Universal even without that (although that would still make him weaker than Kirby).
kirby lore is... WAY more messed up than it should be. like they decided kirby was so cute they had to balance it out with having him fight satan as the miniboss of every game
in the kirby lore....some people equivalent of Buu some time worst

I wasn’t surprised Kirby won. Kirby regularly fights eldritch horrors embodying monsters and even defeated an elder god that was dubbed ‘Destroyer of Worlds’.

This is also further proven by the fact that there has not been a confirmed way that Kirby can actually be killed, every single time you get a game over in almost every single game, Kirby simply goes to sleep before getting back up again... obviously this shouldn't be counted as canon as it's a gameplay mechanic but it's interesting to see that despite the really messed up lore they create for Kirby involving death, eldritch abominations and malformed bodies by said eldritch entities, they never once show Kirby dying even when you get a game over... like, not even him just lying there where it's vague enough to the point where children could say "Well, maybe he's just sleeping?"
Anyways, that's my very brief summary of Kirby's strongest enemies, sorry for the wall of text that you almost definitely didn't read!
Kirby's taken down literally omnipotent foes before; Magolor with the Master Crown is described as having "limitless power," which is what omnipotence *_is._*
So, yeah...

Funny that when this first came out, people could barely believe the results. But now its totally believable
If you're wondering why that Majin Buu voice was so good I'm pretty sure they used voice clips from his anime and game appearances
Yeah I think it was all official voice clips, including stuff from Kirby's voice actress in other games (the fighting game stuff if I remember correctly)
Okay that makes more sense because it seemed dead on haha 🤗
Yeah, this is fairly early in Death Battle, back before they had the money and/or connections to hire VAs for every death Battle. There's a few I can think of that just used voice clips for fight dialogue rather than voice overs.
I honestly just have a lot of Nostalgia for the early Fights of Death Battle. This one in particular is still one of my favorites to this day.

I understand but let's not use games Z characters in games are nigh omnipotent.

The versus battle you two always wanted (or, at least since you heard about Buu).

Both Buu and Kirby were a bit underscaled in this one. Kirby still wins super easily but both are a lot stronger than this
Only when you use inconsistent standards to scale them.
ETC.
This was a good reaction and now do either Captain Marvel vs Android 18 or Wario vs King Deedee next.
I guess Buu's head "protuberance" might be like an antenna directly connected to his brain, as when using it he can basically manifest anything he can think of by manipulating materia, take when turning people into biscuits or chocolate or making a toilet cabin out of a big rock.
Buu like Kirby might not be the brightest in crayon box, but sure has an enormous potential of becoming a mighty warrior.

the only argument I don't like in this battle is the explosion comparison, when Kid buu was blowing up planets he blew them into nothingness which is why he got blown into chunks, the explosion that they use for Kirby did NOT harm Popstar at all and barely fazed Kirby either.
Ken is the two year winner of their Death Battle competition tho!
Got close! But Ken made those BIG beats and completely took the lead!
Madara Vs Aizen
The only thing I disagree with on this Battle is them taking Buu's lack of durability as a direct negative since how Buu works is that, as you two have seen, either *you kill him* or *you don't.*
His actual durability barely matters when he can reform from being completely atomised.
Complete disintegration was the only way to get rid of him.
thing is kirby has so much more power comparatively he can just....do that
Kirby is tiny and cute, but he absolutely scares the hell out of me
The thing is they like to bring up the 'planet sized explosion' thing with Kirby and also with Dedede and it's just... not an explosion.

Not just that but Buu willingly challenged the spirit bomb and was WINNING. He only lost after they made the wish to restore Goku’s full power.
They downplayed kirby more, believe it or not. Magalor could think universes away and Kirby just....beats him without breaking a sweat. Like something that would of taken buu millions of years to do kirby beat someone who could do that in an instant

Majin Buu was the deadliest villain until Moro showed up
You should react to Kirby Lore by The Rpg monger. He made two videos and it is surprisingly intense.
You should check out kirby lore explained by the rpg monger.
How fitting. 😂
i wanna bet on kirby, but knowing if he somehow manages to eat Buu, he can just scream his way out...Im siding with Buu on this one, especially with the candy beat and raw power xD
oh wow xD
Rule of thumb: If one of the fighters uses gag physics (or toon force, as they as they call it), they're pretty much guaranteed to win.
So like the time when Goku punch a guy out of a comic panel and broke the panel? Or when Gohan and Krillin constantly braking the 4th wall?
@@RUNNEbytheinternet I was thinking more of that episode of Dragon Ball Super, when Vegeta fought Arale; and got his butt handed to him.
@@darknessunknown4384 Vegeta is a no nonsense character, Of course he'd lose he can't take a joke.🤡
Kirby solos any other fictional character. The outcome was known soon as Kirby was named in the matchup
You should write your choices down like you did in the last vid, then discuss your reasons before the fight so you get best of both worlds.
They should watch megaman battle royal next
you should watch the new prime trailers for warframe
I thought you guys were hiding your bets until the end of the fight?
Am i the only one who thinks that blast couldnt kill buu and this battle would have been stale mate? Because he has hit that at a planet thousands of times and come back from the explosion. The reason the spirit bomb did something was because it was literal billions of mini spirit bombs from the whole population of earth.kirby cannot come up with that kind of power?
Kirby isn’t one to be taken lightly
I'm sorry though, I still don't agree with this outcome. Buu's speed was far beyond light speed. Blowing up a planet was easy for Vegeta in the Saiyan saga, and Buu is likely millions of times stronger.
When Buu eats you, you die, unlike Kirby. Buu would be able to throw that planet burst back once he saw Kirby inhale it, since he would instantly learn the hypernove move and be able to rebound it. The planet would blow, and Kirby would be floating in space. Buu reforms behind him. Turn to chocolate. Done.
Kirby solos were we watching the same video?
I love Kirby broooo!
Ya both bet on the wrong horse
Buu scaling to goku somewhat would make him multi univseral and give him the speed advantage
but kirby is multiversal and WAYYY tougher and more skilled
@@FranTheNerd Not to mention Chaos Elfilis, when you consider what it does in that fight just by powering up, it becomes pretty insane.
Kirby stomps even harder now.
PLEASE react to Kirby lore
#Hypernova Kirby says right back at ya
Calling yourself a heater in the context of dragonball is pretty funny. I wouldnt look it up because its super spoilers and that part hasn't even been adapted to anime yet..
can you wacth death battle princess peach vs zelda please
Suggestion react to kirby right back at ya series
or his lore video.
