Just wanted to say it really does touch my heart how supportive you all are of your son's artwork. When I was young and wanted to be an artist it was considered "not practical" and weird....it wasn't until decades later that I got into it again. So good job encouraging your budding young artist and giving him a chance.
You’re such a kind, loving, dedicated husband, son and father. It’s sweet to hear you talking about taking care of them. Hope you find the perfect property with lots of land.
For those of you interested in the auction on April 24, Yesterday morning (April 4), I have added up the early bids for a total of $25,037 from 573 lots (items). There were still 159 items with no bids.
I'm excited for you guys on finding a property you will love and also for the new addition at work. It all should make for some interesting new vids. 😊 TFS
Being a Landlord is great when the money comes in. Managing property sucks when there’s a maintenance emergency, and it seems everything happens after business hours. Like many, I hope you have some major museums looking at this upcoming auction and that you get folks competing for the items. Love Stephen’s art.
My daughter has masters degree in sculpture an is an award winning artist (the cultural consortium visual artist of the year for So Florida), and many prestigious artist-in-residencies-- Robert Mac namara, Deering Estate, and one in Spain. The art world is a cut throat business. The best thing my daughter was to work for an international artist for 5 years. She is in many shows, but she can't make a living at art. Her day job is as an art conservator.
Yes, it’s a tough world. My grandson is a struggling artist. He works as a manager of a charity shop here. His father is a noted artist/sculptor here and making a living internationally, but it’s taken him 40 years. Good wises to your daughter. 🇦🇺

Melissa is my kind of girl, land and a few chickens, homecooked healthy meals, a good man and family around. What else do you need? I don't know if this is true, but I've heard that the taste of goat milk varies depending on different factors, such as if a male goat is nearby does. If that is the case, the milk and cheese can taste and smell like the barnyard, other times, it is very good. I've only tried goat cheese once, and there must have been a male goat nearby. I'd love to taste GOOD goat milk/cheese.

There are two lots (items) from Madame Rac's estate to be bid on in the April 24 auction: Lot 8153 "1970's Navajo Sand Painting Framed" (current bid was $30); Lot 8313 "Antique Wooden Rocking Chair" (no bids yet). There may be more related items but i just typed in "Madame Rac" on the Kastner auction site on the page on the right hand side where it says "Search List". You can also search by lot number in another area marked "Find Item By Lot Number". Alex's sons paintings can be found by searching under the last name Archbold (yes that is the correct spelling). Also Lynda Archbold has a painting. A fun thing to do is sort the lots by selecting "Sort By Bid Amount Descending".
Melissa -- fresh goat's milk mozarella, or soft like camebert or even aged like a cheddar -- very good. incredibly yummy goat's milk soft cheese sort of log shaped with cranberries or blueberries or herbs are all terrific. Not supposed to do I guess (if you talked to my vet) -- we had a wonderful rescue Pomeranian who developed COPD and had to take several pills a day. He was very smart and kind of tricky when it came to sneaking pills into him via cheese/peanut butter/meat -- put a pill in a bit of cranberry goat's milk cheese and it was gone in a flash. We had him for 9 wonderful years -- he was a puppy mill dog but smart, loving and wonderful. He loved to go for rides in our van and even had a little British style cap for driving. All we had to do was get his cap and he was ready to go. Chewie looks like a wonderful little guy as well.
In our first year of marriage, we were living out in the country by Red Water and had a goat. Her milk was very good and tasted like regular cows milk u til we got a male goat. Not long after, her milk tasted like the billy. Yuk! I couldn’t drink it after that. The female goat had only one horn growing out of the middle of her head. Our friend called her the unicorn of Alberta. Unfortunately, when we moved up to Peace River, we gave our goats away, but the female apparently jumped out of the truck she was being transferred in and died. I was very sad about that as she was a lovely goat with a nice disposition.
