You’re not wrong Steve! The temperature is just starting to drop now so I might just be able to retire it for a month or two. Bring it on! Thanks for watching and commenting mate, I sincerely appreciate it 😎👍
@@JafffaAdventures yeah, I’m in manly Brisbane so we get some Seabreeze but you’re right, it’s only a couple of months a year when beer sweat isn’t part of life- I’ve just gone through most of your maintenance vids, they’re well done and easy to follow-👌, I’ve recently got my hands on a 200 , so they are gunna come in handy- cheers
No worries, I’m glad you found some value here. More FJ content will be coming out later in the year as I am currently on a 5 month 4WD overlanding trip. Go well mate😎👍
@@JafffaAdventures thank you, few people faces common old steering boxes trustfully like you. Steering box cooper bushing need replscement when too loose or when?
Yes, the bronze bush in the box is a serviceable item as well. When you have the box disassembled, just insert the shaft and wiggle it back and forth. You will be able to tell quite quickly if the bush is worn out or not. Cheers
Hello Terry , Love Your channel , but one thing I have to tell You when You are using Wad / hole punches , use them on the end grain of the timber , will give You a cleaner cut and also keep the edge on the punch .... Cheers Dave ....
That is fantastic advice Dave, I never even considered it but it makes perfect sense. That’s the beauty of this forum, I am always learning. Keep the shiny side up and thanks for watching and commenting 😎👍
Thanks for the idea Travis, I’ll definitely put that in my to do list. I have not set any of that up yet as I want to get the full weight of the vehicle on the suspension before I dial any of that in. Keep the shiny side up mate and thanks again.😎👍
You cracked me up mate, thanks for the laugh. I’ll try and stay pink coloured however, the green guy is far too short😂. Thanks for watching and commenting mate, I sincerely appreciate it 😎👍
Thank you mate, that is very kind of you to say. I have an entire playlist of 45 build videos (must be 10 or so of them by now) with lots coming out for the future. Follow along and avoid my mistakes 😂😎👍
Thanks for watching and commenting mate, I sincerely appreciate it. I got these particular items from Ben Keen who is on a lot of the FB 40 Series pages. I also get parts from Amayama often, good price and quick deliveries. Thanks again Travis 😎👍
Yes definitely Jonty. I will be installing an electric unit where you swap out the entire column. The power steering pump on the LSA will be used to drive a hydraboost hooked up to my brakes for awesome stopping power. Thanks for watching and commenting mate, I sincerely appreciate it 😎👍
Headbands -essential for beer drinkers that live in Brisbane and work in the shed👌

Hey mate, idea for a video, when you ever around to it would love to see a video of you setting up all the drag link, and steering rod lengths etc.
Thanks for the idea Travis, I’ll definitely put that in my to do list. I have not set any of that up yet as I want to get the full weight of the vehicle on the suspension before I dial any of that in. Keep the shiny side up mate and thanks again.😎👍
Your like Yoda teaching a young Luke Skywalker.
If you turn green and pull out a Lightsaber, my life is complete.

Red Loc-Tite on the exterior of the seal ? Next guy is gonna curse you... But nice vid! Thanks!
I’ll be the next guy mate, they will bury me in this one😉. Thanks for watching and commenting mate, I sincerely appreciate it 😎👍
Great video, you give the replacement P/N’s of the two seals but not the two bearings. Any chance I could annoy you to find the bearing P/N’s?
Sorry John, I did not replace the bearings so I do not know the part numbers. Thanks for watching 👍😎
Excellent video. Where do you get your parts from? Thanks for the part numbers!

Hey Terry, do you think you’ll upgrade to power steering at all? LSA with manual steering could be a handful 😁
Yes definitely Jonty. I will be installing an electric unit where you swap out the entire column. The power steering pump on the LSA will be used to drive a hydraboost hooked up to my brakes for awesome stopping power. Thanks for watching and commenting mate, I sincerely appreciate it 😎👍
Hey mate where abouts did you get the rebuild kit?
Spares Box, but there are heaps of suppliers on fleabay as well😎👍
Is there any noticeable difference between yours there and my 1971?
Not sure, I don’t have a 71. Cheers
Seals don't require any sealants nor anaerobic adhesives..
Cool👍😎
