Thanks for a solid tip, first I've heard of using couple fingers to test how tight it is.

Thanks for the tip. My bars were super loose and even breathing at them would make them fall to the side.

Helpful info. A pic or two of the over/under mount would have been neat tho

I took the plunge! Picked up at GPR during their end-of-the-year sale. It is amazing I really don’t know why I waited so long and should have listened to my friends LOL. It’s really simple to use and I feel like it helps everywhere

Cool, I run one too. I bought the top triple clamp to to go with it, GPR calls it the "pro kit" It's machined out to fit the stabilizer under the bar. They say it doesn't rase bar height. I've never measured to confirm though.

Yea, I’ve played tree pinball more than once. Stabilizers are definitely good in the woods for that and roots even. I’d like to see a video on handle bar height, your opinions etc. you had a few clues in this video that were intriguing. As far as your go pro stuff. Look at the Klim enduro helmets with the built in chin mount. There is no equal, it’s out of the way and positioned perfectly to catch the trail, your fender and your hands on the controls. Those Klims weigh nothing (Kevlar), lighter than any other helmet and have more venting too. The chin mount is optional, best 29 bucks I ever spent on a mount.

Drew Smith/ WER is what I have used for years. I have one of Drew's prototypes even.

put bike on a stand with front wheel in the air..then slam handlebar to the stops....How much dampening did it have? Thank you for your comment and support of my channel.

Interesting points. Though I think maybe I need to get better at not banging trees before I do myself a disservice and hide a riding weakness of mine.

Michael Abramo I don’t bang trees either my brotha, but accidents happen on occasion... thanks for your comment.

@@RichLaffertyRacing I mean to say that I DO bang bars on trees all the time (not that you do)! And it's a problem for me during the tighter enduro sections.

Why GPR over Scott’s. I use GPR V1 on my CR250R but am going with Scott’s for my 2021KX 450. For the same price you get separate high and low speed damping, adjustable sweep and free movement back to center.

Well yes very similar..I have used scotts way back in the day...then gpr came around they have a way better sponsor support program...so I switched and been loyal since...great product, great technical support, very helpful. Thank you for your comment..appreciate it

@@RichLaffertyRacing They have switched the handlebars on my bike from 7/8 to fat bars. And I haven’t been able to find anything for that bike yet. I’m not riding till it gets warmer out and the ice is gone. So I have some time to find what I need. The biggest difference I’m seeing is zero damping back to center. I don’t know if this will make a difference or not. I am used to the GPR because I have been using that for 8 years now.

I know this is 2 years old but I can't see why dampen back to center is a bad thing. I had a GPR and I loved the fact that it gave me tension on the return.

Every bike I ride with a stabilizer feels heavy and slow to turn.

You should mention that you don’t run a sub mount because you’re 5 foot nothing lol. Kind of misleading to say it will negatively affect getting over the bars and handling plenty of us are over 6 feet tall, and moving the bars to accommodate our stature on a “one-size-fits-jockeys-only” motorcycle anyway! Good advice otherwise, thank you for sharing with us.
