Next time when you come to Bulgaria, you can try visiting Varna or go to the northern seacoast - Kavarna, Tiyulenovo, Krapets, Balgarevo. There are pretty amazing places :) I also highly recommend - Seven Rila Lakes, Musala peak, Hristo Botev peak, Krushuna waterfall and many many others..
It’s quite popular actually to have the tomato soup cold in the summer: it’s refreshing to be honest. Also, this is a great video, love the fact that he’s travelling around and “reviewing” countries, but Bulgaria is too beautiful and unique to be captured in a video believe it or not. Everyone has a different experience.
Nice shot of lightning!. It gets exhausting going from church to church, but they were all interesting to see. Nice video. Good luck climbing that friggin' mountain .....
It's nice to see my hometown from the perspective of a foreigner. We often don't appreciate the view from Vitosha bvd, and it's really, really amazing. Too bad the street is packed with people and restaurants.
Sofia was founded 7000 years ago and is the oldest capital in Europe. Rome was created in 753 BC, and Sofia - 5000 years BC or 7000 years ago. Sofia is the seventh capital of Bulgaria. The first Bulgarian capital - the capital of Old Great Bulgaria - the city of Fanagoria in Russia, the second capital - Pliska, the third capital - Preslav, the fourth capital Skopje - the capital of modern Macedonia, the fifth capital - the city of Ohrid in modern Macedonia, the sixth capital of Veliko Tarnovo and the seventh capital of Bulgaria - Sofia. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sofia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Great_Bulgaria en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phanagoria en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pliska en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veliki_Preslav en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skopje en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohrid en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veliko_Tarnovo
really love to watch your videos seems im travellig with you too. im going to tbilisi this december hopefully nothing change bec id like to go sofia too and spent my birthday and new year as well.....
Travel Minds I will also travel to Sofia in November. I saw your comments in every video I watched. Do you have to recommend anything? To which things we have to pay attention?
Anna Sp Bulgaria is much better then Romania. Sofia looks much better and European, then Bukuresht. Sofia is alike Wien! Architecture and building the centrum or the city is great! Sofia the Last year's is one city with big economic and touristic progress!!!
It's not easy to compare two different places as they have their own qualities, but I would say Bucharest. I think there is slightly more to do there, but if you prefer to visit somewhere more relaxed, go to Sofia.
Vitosha Boulevard is soooo overrated IMO. You can find cheaper and good quality places as well around the center. Also I agree with you the food is a bit weird at least for me as an immigrant. Cheers
I've just come back from Bulgaria, Sofia. It was my 30th country to visit and I found the city rather depressing. Mafia run taxis charging you 4x the normal amount and they look exactly like official taxis. Very bad pavement and roads which are worse than anywhere else in Eastern Europe I've visited. My friend was mugged and beaten up having his watch and wallet stolen and being given a fat lip. Little to see or do but look at a handful of churches and buildings which can be done in a few hours. Most of the city is built from precast concrete slab during the Soviet period. These buildings were only built to last 30 years and most of them are now 50 plus. The whole city needs rebuilding and there are few new buildings or signs of cranes or construction. I feel sorry for the Bulgarian people. There are more attractive and interesting cities to experience.
The taxi problem can be solved by downloading taxi apps and everything will be fine. It's annoying to get overcharged from them, but no one can stop them. Sad to hear your friend was beaten up, but that can happen in every single country in the world. You need to be picky where u go :(
Niki Dimitrov I know what you mean. Yes it can happen everywhere, but it hasn't happened anywhere else. There were a few positives from my trip. I had a nice cocktail in Sputnik and a good night in Bar Friday. We had a nice meal and wine in Moma. It wasn't a complete disaster but I don't think I'll go back. Perhaps I'll go to Plovdiv next if I come to Bulgaria.
Captain Badger You need a doctor my friend! Sofia is one beautiful city, and I was visit so much cities and capitals in Europe, Sofia was musc better from more other European cities! Your stupid comment is shame for you
The tomato soup it's usually served cold. It's refreshing when you eat it in the summer. It's not gazpacho.

Yeah, so much more to see!
Actualy - the name of the top of our Stara planina is Botev peak not Hristo Botev peak :)
You've edited the video in a very pleasant way, and the way you explain everything you see is nice as well :)
Wow, I wasn’t knowing that there are many people that visit Bulgaria 🇧🇬!

if you would like to go to a more unique part of Bulgaria that has a landmark, then you should go to Belgradchik. Absolutely worth it.
that museum was called Museum of History of Sofia
National History museum of Bulgaria is other building
Travelling and explaining style very cool, go on
If you liked the tomato soup you should really try Tarator! :) In one of the variations, we add ground walnuts

Αφού έχεις δει τα βίντεο δεν χρειάζεται να πω κάτι παραπάνω. Οτι ξέρεις,ξέρω.
3:58 I half expected you'd say you found an insect or rodent in your soup lol. I'm visiting Sofia this august with a friend and I can't wait!
Visiting Sofia as well this August! Hope you have a memorable time :)
That's ... just rude... :(
i hope you find an insect in your soup
Bulgaria🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬
wow
Well, if it has been written on the menu as a cold tomato soup, then yes, otherwise for a regular tomato soup, it should be hot for sure. :)
Seems better than Romania, isn't it?
Yes it is
Nope
