  • Visiting the fish market in Hurghada, Egypt! After my experience at the fish market in Alexandria nearly two years ago (one of my favorite experiences in Alex), I decide to visit the fish market in this city along the Red Sea to see what's on sale and check out the general vibes of the market. After, I visit a local seafood restaurant for the fresh catch of the day. Come along with me and see what the local fisherman have caught in the Red Sea today.
    Welcome to the channel! My name's Gisselle, I'm a budget traveler and have been to 6 out of the 7 continents, visiting 20+ countries, living for some time in Sydney, Australia as well as in Saigon, Vietnam. I am currently living in Cairo, Egypt and exploring all this beautiful country has to offer while visiting nearby countries as well. I am a lover of language and a culturally curious lady just making my way through life one day at a time. I live to learn, I love to travel and explore, try new things and meet interesting people anywhere and everywhere in the world. Come along with me as I solo travel the globe and discover fascinating new places, try delicious local food, meet lovely people, and share a moment in time on this beautiful planet, our Earth.

      Awesome!!! Egypt is so incredible, I (obviously 😅) love it so much, you two will have a great time. And welcome to the channel! You have to try mahshy while you are here, the cabbage is my favorite but all the varieties are good. I made a video about it th-cam.com/video/hyeWdykLh60/w-d-xo.html And if you ever have any questions about Egypt, don't hesitate to ask 😊 P.S. Don't bring a drone they are illegal here 😅

      @@TheBiznes75 Hmm....You know, I don't typically book many excursions, but I have used Viator in the past, as well as GetYourGuide, and they both seem to have reasonable prices for stuff

      Oh I hear Hurghada is beautiful in the winter! It's so unbearably hot now, I don't feel like doing anything because I'm so bloody hot 🤣 Will you be going to Cairo as well, or only Hurghada? I will probably be back in Cairo by December, but if you end up coming to Cairo I would love to meet up and grab lunch or the like, I love meeting subscribers! Thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel, you're going to love Egypt! 🥰

      No way! Awww, I wish you would have said hi, that would have been awesome! It doesn't happen often that I meet people that watch my videos, but when it does it's so cool, I love meeting the people in real life that are watching my channel! Ah well...That hot air balloon ride was great, right?! I didn't realize so many ancient ruins were visible from the balloons (I guess I didn't do much research beforehand 😅). I hope you enjoyed Egypt while here! And thank you so much for your continued support, it really means a lot to me 🥰 I kind of assumed that after visiting Egypt viewers from abroad would stop watching my channel 😅 Cool to know you still are!

      Nice! The sea here is amazing, so beautiful. And this fish restaurant is really good, better quality and prices than those overpriced tourist restaurants near the marina. If you are thinking about checking out the fish market, I would go at 6am to catch the action. I know 6am is super early but damn it was worth it in Alexandria and likely would be here too. Though I've been lazy and still haven't done it myself so, I can't preach😆😅🤷🏻‍♀️ Thanks for watching my videos! 🙏

    The think calamari is actually Cuttlefish which many consider superior to calamari (here in the US it's much more expensive too.)
    BTW, how hot was Hurghada. Is much hotter than Florida or Texas?
    Are you still in Egypt? I've followed a few TH-camrs who actually decided to settle in Egypt.... I've subscribed and now watching more of your videos....
    Really cool... Please keep going. ❤️🇪🇬🇺🇲❤💐🌹👍

    • @Gventures
      @Gventures  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Interesting, I've never heard that before. I know the demand for squid is typically higher which explains why many times squid is more expensive. But because of the language barrier I will never know if it is cuttlefish or squid I am being served 😅 I've never been to Texas and the last time I was in Florida I was a little kid, so I can't really compare the heat. I just know Hurghada in the summer was very hot and felt quite humid, but you can google the temperature in Hurghada at different times of the year and compare, I have found google to be quite accurate about the average temperatures in Egypt in various cities.
      I am still in Egypt! I've been living here for over 2 years now and love it 😊

    HI Gisselle I have a question about hotels is it better to book a hotel in downtown Cairo or close to pyramids ? and please can you tell me if October is less crowded or not .... thanks for responding

    • @Gventures
      @Gventures  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I personally recommend a hotel in downtown Cairo, as there isn't much see or do by the pyramids, except for the pyramids themselves. If you really want to stay down by the pyramids, I recommend only 1 night (2 max). Downtown Cairo has more options for food, cafes, shops, and it's closer to all the sites than if you were to stay in the pyramids, so it will be faster to sightsee leaving from downtown Cairo vs. battling your way through traffic in Giza every day to see the museums, markets, etc.
      Is October less crowded...? Not really. In fact October is kind of when people start coming here, as everyone avoids the summer months because of the heat. But it is a FAMOUS country with tons of history, so there are always people here (except during Covid I guess).
