Personally, I do feel like the entirety of Be More Chill just screams "Tryin to be cool with the kids" even though I love Be More Chill I cant count how many times I cringed listening to the soundtrack, especially Smartphone Hour. Ok this Jeremy is adorable I love him [Edit] Christine is also adorable!! I love /her/ To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of the Broadway Christine, but this Christine seems much more realistic and loveable. The "No this is where you meet for the swim team" line felt a lot less mean-spirited than other productions have done it and I love the concern in her voice right after. She already cares about Jeremy even though they just met.
I love the dude who played jeremy in this play, his mannerisms, fidgets and demeanour actually felt genuine. Like an actual "loser" kid who deals with anxiety and social awkwardness it makes it feel so much more real tbh
No one is talking about two-player game! It was so cool how they dancing and lifting each other but still manage to sing properly! Rich, Christine, Michael, Jake, Chloe and jeremy are great at their roles! 10/10

When the squip song is playing he says he only was rude to Jeremy because his squip said he had to. And I assume he was in play because of the zombie apocalypse. Or the school made him since the only reason the popular kids were there because mrs rayas appealed to them by saying it’s a zombie apocalypse play. This making the popular kids join and frisbee golf won’t get the money used for the theater department.

My theory: the squip did this on purpose. He took his programing, and took his work seriously even at the cost of himself, and the best way to do that? Give Jeremy real courage by "defeating" a big evil and making people like him more in the end of it. The Red Mountain Dew does nothing, as shown in the end by him still being there, and making Jermey feel vindicated that he's defeated by him being "angry" that he was "defeated". Lmk your theories if you have any!

The "No this is where you meet for the swim team" line felt a lot less mean-spirited than other productions have done it and I love the concern in her voice right after. She already cares about Jeremy even though they just met.

When the squip song is playing he says he only was rude to Jeremy because his squip said he had to. And I assume he was in play because of the zombie apocalypse. Or the school made him since the only reason the popular kids were there because mrs rayas appealed to them by saying it’s a zombie apocalypse play. This making the popular kids join and frisbee golf won’t get the money used for the theater department.

My theory: the squip did this on purpose. He took his programing, and took his work seriously even at the cost of himself, and the best way to do that? Give Jeremy real courage by "defeating" a big evil and making people like him more in the end of it. The Red Mountain Dew does nothing, as shown in the end by him still being there, and making Jermey feel vindicated that he's defeated by him being "angry" that he was "defeated".
