The story continues: It seems that Vic hasn't spent all his time getting drunk and getting in trouble with the police. He's been laying down some raps under the name Bo$$-Key-Yatcht$ and comes up with the idea that Chris should get in the booth and do some raps with him, saying that don't need a major label to get big, just some good lines and Chris' fans. Forever forgetting that Shaq tried his hand at rapping at was terrible at it but lets all continue to forget and get on with the story. Chris and Vic remember some of the good times they had back in Harlem with a former coach to practice jump shots... and they mean A LOT of jump shots. However the conversation quickly turns for the worse as Vic talks about how he feels that Chris has everything and Vic still has nothing. Chris is in the NBA, living the dream with both parents still alive and supportive while Vic has been leeching of him and his family for years because both of his parents died. Now thanks to his behaviour, Vic is banned from travelling with the team, locker rooms and the stadium and thinks Chris didnt do anything. Chris naturally starts to think that Vic is jealous but Vic lays on one of the most insane statements to ever come out of his mouth. Chris is jealous of Vic, is what Vic says because he is getting with women while Chris is with Yvette. Chris knows that claim is BS because Yvette told him about how Vic went behind Chris back to try and get with her. Chris finally starts laying in to Vic saying how he is just a sponge, trying to use his status as "Friend of Freq" to do whatever he wants. And who is the one who bails Vic out everytime? Whose the one who pays lawyers enormous amounts of money to keep this all under the rug? That's right, Chris. Chris has spent in total $250,000 on Vic. In anyone's world, thats a lot of money, particularly considering that Chris and Vic started off life living in the projects in Halem with literally nothing. But in a surprising turn, Vic actually does admit to his mistakes and apologize for using Chris as his meal ticket. Or so Chris thinks, because then Vic comes out with one of the darkest stories of their past. Dirtbike Donnie. Donnie was jealous of Chris' rise in prospects from College and the draft and saw an opportunity to strike. Chris says he didn't push Donnie down the stairs, that he slipped. No matter what side one believes, Vic claims he was the one for saved Chris that night, when Chris ran away, Vic took care of the loose ends, got his hands dirty for Chris. Chris is safe because of Vic. Vic claims everything Chris has is because of Vic and he should never forget that. And now the snake is now biting down on Chris, now wanting Chris' car to pick up women. Chris obliges, faced with few other options to keep Vic quiet. Finally getting home, Chris sits alone, comtemplating. The conversation with Vic about the past has left him rattled and unsure. Yvette walks in to find Chris depressed and tries to help anyway he can. However, not all are impressed and team owner has decided enough's enough, Vic is too much of a liability and has to be removed otherwise Chris will be transferred. No longer a threat, but a guarantee. Once again bringing up what has always been said, Chris is great but Vic is the albatross around his neck, bringing him down. The decision is Chris', always has been always will, but this is the final chance for clean up this mess. Chris is left with the hardest question of his life: Cut Vic and risk the story getting out there? or Keep Vic and lose his NBA dreams? Stay Tuned
My one gripe with this game's story is that it seems like there's a lot more telling than showing. Like they talk about Freq and Vic doing all these things, but as far as I know I've been getting 10 minutes per game and scoring hardly anything. They also say in the matches that you kick ass. I was on the Phoenix Suns for my Rookie Season, and the commentators said I beat the 76'ers no problem, even though we only played the Rockets, Cavaliers, Grizzlies, and Mavericks twice.
For Vic's death they should have made it interesting not just a simple crash like somebody was chasing him and then he crashed at least something interesting like that
Only ONE MORE CUTSCENE VIDEO after this and we're finally onto Season 2 of actual BASKETBALL!
+DenkOps just wait for season 2

+DenkOps can't wait

This is a cool game the cut scenes actually give the game meaning; as there seems to be a lot to the story
Tbh if I was Freq, i'd have cut Vic out when he started taking me for advantage

For Vic's death they should have made it interesting not just a simple crash like somebody was chasing him and then he crashed at least something interesting like that
And there could be theories about it did a teammate kill Vic did the team owner want Vic gone for good cause Vic made his team look bad
the graphics in the cutscenes ars very bad
