I'm just glad all of this part of the NBA 2K16 My Career mode is finally over! The whole "Livin' The Dream' story was so depressing. Now that it's over, I can finally enjoy watching some halfway decent ballin'.
The story continues: Chris' loyalty to Vic is costly him dearly. Team interest has dropped from 10 to 3 and now he is on the tipping point of losing everything because of it. Everyone is saying the same thing to Chris, Vic has to go. Everyone is in agreement but the only person left to have their say is Vic. With no answer from his phone, Chris is still left pondering his situation about Vic. In the mean time, Chris is now a free agent and can chose a new team. After intense rounds of negotiations and several days of uncertainty, Chris hold a press conference to reveal his new team. One of the toughest decisions of his life was this choice but in the end, Chris chooses to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers. Despite all the chaos with Vic, Chris finally has a moment to be happy with his family and support network. A decision must still be made about Vic, but life, being the unpredictable mistress that she is, decides for Chris. A phone call from Vic turns about to be a police office saying that there has been an accident. He confirms that Vic was crashed the car after a car chase and died. It's an earth shattering moment for Chris, as he must now go on knowing that Vic, his best friend, the man he called his brother... is now gone. Chris takes some time off back in Harlem, to the place where it all began for him and Vic. A day after the funeral, Chris is forced to confront the fact that reality is cruel but in Vic's name, he must continue the dream that they set in motion. Chris and Cee-Cee decide to stay one more day to visit their parents and in this meeting with them, Chris finally sits down and thanks his parents for all the work they did, in raising him as the 3 month old orphan abandoned on their door step, to never complaining once about anything Chris put them through. Chris and Cee-Cee want to give them a present to show their love and appreciation, but they refuse again, saying that they only want their love... and grandchildren. They still do it anyway. In one final moment, Vic leaves a letter to Chris. A letter filled with emotion as Vic lets it all out, his jealous of Chris, his love of his family and his secret crush on Cee-Cee. He thanks Chris for everything and hopes that his greatness is in the heavens. Vic may have seen like Chris' albatross but at the end of the day, Vic was and will always be an FOF (Friend of Freq). Stay Tuned!
Am I the only one that actually didn't get emotional or teary eyed during that whole Vic letter thing? Like, huh? When did he even write that letter anyway he was driving and crashed. Lol I feel like I'm an asshole for having this reaction. I really hated that character so I personally was happy that he died because he could've ruined it all for Freq.
