Make the vent ribs like the old ones
I just got my 3-inch stainless. I will add one of these to my collection. I'm a Smith guy, but the ONE PIECE barrel and NO storage lock make these the revolvers to have. Beautiful workmanship without breaking the bank.
You mean the Hillary HOLE. LOL. JUst say NO to the HILLARY.
Very smart to bring this back❤
Is a very beautiful gun.
Can't wait for the 3" blued python
Can’t wait for 2 1/2” blued
Can't wait for the 1 1/2" blued
Can't wait for the 1/2" blued 😂
Can't wait for the barrel-less open cylinder blued Python.
@@TheOfficialCaseMade ah yes, Pepperbox Python
$ 1599.00 not a bad price for this Colt python, blued!
Wilson Combat aftermarket adjustable rear sight for the new Colt 2020 model is a MANDATORY upgrade.
I picked up the stainless 6" stainless Python about a year ago, and then Colt goes out and makes a blued one. Nicely played, Colt!! Now I have to get that one too!!
Ill have to get the 6 inch blue, now. At last its back ;)
Nice to see blued finished. Thats what the public wants...... detective special and diamondback please!!!! We all cant afford a python
I wish I'd have waited now!! I got the stainless, But I did acquire a 1970's Blued Colt 357 6' barrel, Never Fired, 😁😁😁 lovin it.
Was really hoping to get this blued one, but just found out it has 3 rib vents as oppose the old 2. Why Colt? WHY?!!!!!
That third vent really makes it a naw from me dawg
Get them out in 2.5”… *PLEASE*
Magnum force python is back, baby
When will a blued Anaconda come out?!
Thanks to the Federal Gov't, Colt can't use the same processes for the old "royal Blue" but I hope they get as close as possible.
You know I'm bout to cop me 1
I Must Have One!!!
I’m still waiting to see a King Cobra 22 with the 6” barrel!
Is Colt still serrating their d/a triggers?
Having 3 cutouts along the top instead of the usual 2 doesn't look right
Has the rear sight been improved since the release of the 3 inch stainless modle?
Nope buy Wilson Combat Battlesight, it much improves enjoyment, thats why Mr. Bill did it, to enjoy his 2020 Pythons to the full.
Need a blued Andacona
Need a 6 inch version of this one.
..surprised it took them so long to catch on...
Have a blue one made in 69 now that they come in blue i love the new one
I'll get it when the blued 3 inch emerges
3" blued with elk stag combat grips!
3 vent slots on this 4.25" barrel is a no go for me.
Colt ghettoized the 4in blue with those gawdy 3-vent holes. The 4in looks much better with 2-vent holes. What was Colt thinking. The 6in looks good.
Have hoped Colt would go blue, have the stainless in 4&6"
Same! Now need to add the blued in the same barrel lengths and I’m all set!
4 inch with 3 vents how Taurusully
what are they doing with the 3 vents it looks dumb and why dealers show the new 4.25 with 2 vents very confusing to the customer who wants this half ass blued version at least the 6 inch looks original
My question was going to be asking if it has that same gorgeous deep royal blue finish.
It doesn’t appear to.
Sadly, it looks like my question has been answered in the comments section. 😕
I’d been hoping that when Colt brought back the Python that they would eventually bring back the blued version with that incredible royal blue finish.
That mirror-like deep blue finish is never coming back in any way, shape or form.
Those days are over.
@@afridgetoofar1818
I’m afraid that you are correct. They couldn’t & wouldn’t. If they were to do that I’m sure the price would be much greater. But Yes, that ain’t coming back. 😕
Those old ones were absolutely Gorgeous!!
@@weaintfree You can find an old “minty” Python on one of the auction sites, but they’re not cheap.
@@afridgetoofar1818
Ohh Yes, I’ve looked a number of times. You ain’t a kiddin. I’m sure even w/ Pythons being produced again (yet differently), the values of those originals will just keep climbing.
I should have snagged one that I came across a hand full of years ago, but in reality it would have just been a safe Queen to admire from time to time.
The hammer isn’t supposed to be blued
I they come out with a 3" blued, I'm buying one!
Maybe stop pointing it at Jessica.
Cz refuses to make a stainless Cz-75b.
You mean they won't bring it back?
Thanks. Really the Colt Python.
Really? Check again
It should have been the lauch gun!
COLT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Georgous gun but more than I am willing to pay.
Go Colt!!!!! S&W is doing worst and worst with your quality control, Great time to lunch new products!!!
Its their Czech overlords enforcing strickt quality control processes against the much resistance of manufacturing-tolerance-loose crew. One step at a time ...
There will be even quality autos in the future
41 magnum
I'm 60 and doubt I will ever see the single action army in production again. I wish smith and wesson would make a spin off of the SAA. Yes I have many ruger vaqueros, but I know smith would turn out an awesome single action. Colt has had their head in the clouds for a long time now. Too bad.
They still have them listed in catalogue ... They dont make them?
He dry fired it, sell it to me for $200 since the gun is now permanently damaged & we’ll need all kinds of replacement ejectors & such. You’re welcome 😁😂👍🏾
I will get one! OMG!!!
A 4 1/4" barrel with 3 vents looks stupid. There should only be 2 vents.
I like the old Guns America guy a lot better, bring back clay or whatever his name was
Is he serious doing this video with a dip in??
Impolite to pull the trigger in unsafe direction. Yes, I know the pin is removed from the gun. Bad example.
Colt/CZ what have You done! SMH
Put all the gun grease on their you want I can tell looking at it in 4k that the bluing is very thin. These will be collectible but if you carry one more than a week it's going to rust out like crazy.
Nicely done video, but as a card carrying "revolver people" you need to cover a couple more key items we want to know. Is it zero mim? Is it zero cast? Lastly, wipe it off with a rag before the video. It is swimming in oil and that makes the finish look awful. Oh, wait, one more lastly. Everyone is confused about the three vents. You need to explain that the quarter inch on the 4.25 was for Canadian laws and that meant you had to adjust the vents.
There are no sales in Canada until likely 2025 optimistically
@@littledemonboy1 Yes, the regulations to remove freedoms from Canada moved faster than Colt. I hope Canada can one day regain its freedoms.
It’s an expensive “beaut”
Forget the vents the 4.25 itself looks stupid, go back to the classic 4 inch
Amen!! Unbelievable they went this way
Colt : please make a blued anaconda! It’s what a bunch of people want and then while you’re at it make a larger caliber slightly more powerful than the s&w 500 , then build a massive python style revolver call it idk titanaboa since that’s the only bigger snake found than a anaconda. Then you can be on top again! For awhile. Dang doesn’t anyone else want something like that?!
Call it Leviathan
So CZ doesn't have anything new to show us, but Colt has finally figured out bluing?
🙄 Come on CZ, get it together.
it's not even royal bluing like original had and CZ literally owns Colt lol... One step at a time man.
Right, I’ll believe it when I see a true Royal Blue . Let’s see what the return/repair frequency is in this for finish foul ups .
the 3 vents on the 4 inch looks bad. they going to make a blued anaconda? that's what I care about, I've got enough 357 magnums
1:27 Look how she stepped backwards when he asked for dry firing? 😀Old safety habit. Even if she knows it is empty.
As I can see on this video, this black coating is much worse looking than that vintage Royal Blue. It does not shine as deeply as that vintage one. And the other thing I notice, the upper part of the barrel all the way between the sights is glossy. It has to be matte like with the old Royal Blue guns. Bad work overall from Colt.
I have heard that the bluing methods are more restricted nowadays. The Colt deep bluing method is sadly now history.
@@MrDjay46 Are the old bluing methods restricted nowadays because of that green politics?
Yes and green is in fact bolshevik, thus red as the whole deep state that rules there :)
And handle it with WHITE gloves, please.
Looks good. Like the three rib design. Very nice looking revolver.
What's with the 3 mini vents ????? Jesus Christ , how to ruin a gun !
Photos from some dealers show the 4" model with the correct two-vent setup. Guess we'll have to wait to see which ones hit store shelves!
@@FCV0511
Duke's Sport Shop has them 4.25" three vents. 🙄🤦🏻♂️
This to me is a fail from Colt.
1. It is not Royal Blue
2. Only 2 barrel lengths?
3. Ruined the classic look which I would think would alienate the type of buyer that would be interested in a blued revolver in 2024. The original Royal Blue Pythons are very beautiful guns, they DO NOT have blued hammers, and have the proper amount of vents in the barrel rib which should have been 2 NOT 3 in this barrel length.
Maybe I am off base but $200 more for this I think will not sell as well as it would have potentially if they did it more true to the original. I believe the type of buyer who would be more into this would be more traditionally minded thus not as likely interested in this Blued Python in its current configuration.
Good luck Colt, hopefully you will bring back lightweight revolvers next and some new ones.
They need to bring back the Diamond backs.
@@jameswilson1407 they lost the trademark for the name..maybe rename it Viper or Boa?
I have to agree with this; especially with the shade of blue they've used... Royal blue looks much better. This one looks almost black. 🧐
Sure glad you can tell this without ever seeing one in person, little alone owning one. How is the troll life from living in your step mom's basement treating you, Karen?!?!?
It’s hard to tell about the bluing, I have an Original 6” 1968 Python in Royal Blue and it is magnificent. Bought new and have shot over 5000 rounds thru it. Still looks good.
Please!!! $1599???? Are they nuts??? Go get a S&W or Kimber!!!
Some people appreciate the history and name when buying something .. of course u could always go buy a Chrysler 300 or Mercedes but some people want the rolls-Royce or a Bugatti
Isn't the stainless MSRP 1499? Seems reasonable in comparison
QR code looks like crap. Not as bad as S&W Hillary Hole, but still crap.
Amen 😎
Qr code is a nasty joke, i agree what jerk came up with that?
Qr code? My interest is dead.
Or the Ruger, “Read Owners Manual” on the barrel.
@@highdesertutah they have at least hidden it on the bottom of the pistol now. I just bought a new super redhawk it not noticeable anymore. Thank god
Sad the original Royal Blue is gone. Global warming. Haha
A 4" Python (4.25") with 3 vents instead of the classic 2 vents. 🤮
Blued 4" Python, literally impossible to FUBAR. Not for Colt, let's stick a 3rd vent on it. 🙄
Photos from some dealers show the 4" model with the correct two-vent setup. Guess we'll have to wait to see which ones hit store shelves!
I don’t get it. I don’t hate it, but why?
The 3 vent models might be prototypes or something.
@@connormarek1028
Nope, 4.25" with 3 vents are real. And already being sold.
@@MrSmith-zy2bphopefully just a test run but doubt it
Ruined the 4.25 inch with 3 vents. Looks terrible .
I love all of you upset with 3 vents.....don't buy it by all means....I'd like to get mine sooner and your pathetic whine helps that Bigly!
