Have this problem with my Ender 3 v2. For a while, I thought the extruder gear was dirty with plastic so I would take the extruder apart, clean it, and put it back together before every print. After watching this video, I felt the top f the z rod during a print and I could feel a vibration when it would finish a layer. Thanks for this video! You're a sanity savior!
I use Super Lube for my Z rod on my aquila X2. You'll want to clean the rod before you lube. Isopropyl alcohol can be used to clean it, whether you stick it in a bath or rub it with paper towels :)
NO! WD-40 is exactly the opposite of what you want
Will wonders never grease...I mean "cease"...it is great to see your vids again, James.

Title needs to be renamed: Zoomer discovers the reason for lube.
Thx for the video will try
I use transmission oil with a brush 😂
Nice video
Thanks!!
Hmmmmmm ...... I wonder what this tube that says "grease" on it is. Well it doesnt say "DO NOT EAT" .........
Does WD-40 not work?
Do not use WD-40 its not really a lubricant its closer to a solvent, it can actually damage your metal parts.
Thanks. I read that too.
@@turnersonneborn7287 How about silicon spray?
@@shunkan2g Yes that works, but can get all over everything including filament. I usually spray a bunch in a cap then "paint" it on.
