    Hope you enjoy this video 😌 I have to admit I always feel slightly uncomfortable posting a road trip video. I always want to promote a positive message in my videos and most of the time that’s encouraging a deeper connection with the natural world. But it is true that travelling to these remote locations does lead to a higher carbon footprint that negatively impacts our natural world. Truth is, my job requires me to travel to tell these stories and driving in this case was better than flying. I hope one day we can afford an electric car so we can travel with less guilt!

    • @martinsv9183
      @martinsv9183 ปีที่แล้ว

      "Carbon footprint" is complete and utter nonsense. Its just a way for the elites to scare and control populations. Nothing indiactes humans have any notable effect on the climate. Nothing is out of the ordinary looking at longer term cycles. Except co2 is very low now in a historical perspective for vegetation on earth.. They grow much better at a higher level than what we have now. A bit strange. And should bring up questions.

      Even at the price of a higher carbon footprint the beautiful northern parts of the Nordic countries need more visitors. Other parts of the world need much less. Thanks for the wonderful images.

      Seriously Dani! For someone who is so well educated in nature, I find it astounding that you have not done even just a little reading to educate yourself on this issue of man-made climate change/global warming and come to the full realisation that it is fake and that carbon dioxide is not only NOT a green house gas that holds heat to the planet surface, but that it is a gas of life and not a pollutant. If they continue these lies backed up by their junk science and then force the reduction of CO2, eventually all biological life on Earth will die and that includes us humans. Basic human biology will tell you that we must live in an atmosphere which has CO2 in it to cause us to starve oxygen, this is the trigger that makes our brains involuntarily keep our diaphragms moving and thus keep us breathing. Medical science already knows that if you give a human/animal 100% oxygen that the involuntary breathing eventually stops and once you remove the oxygen supply the person/animal basically dies from suffocation. We must have CO2 to breathe. Not to mention that it is a food for plant life.
      Currently there is approximately 400+ppm of CO2 in the atmosphere. There are a lot of anecdotal claims out there in opinions from real scientists who say we should be over 1,000ppm of CO2, so that the world can green up again and bring life to the desert regions.
      Dani, you should know by now that CO2 is a gas of life and not a pollutant and that it does not hold heat to the earth's surface. Stop concerning yourself with junk science and worry about the real science of biology that you are recording for all of us and for prosperity and leave the junk science of man-made global warming/climate change to the liars and fools who follow it.
      Thank you for taking us on your road trip and I hope there are many more videos of road trips in the future!

      @@stephencox4224 funny, I made a minimal post about how after all the lies our governments have told us over the past decades, especially the 3 years of covid lies, I have started to wonder whether climate change is another lie (I used to believe it was real). Apparently the censors didn't like what I had to say because the post has disappeared. Censored by youtube (I have that happen in the past) or maybe Dani just didn't want the comments to devolve into a discussion about climate change?

      My first film “The Squirrels and Me” was made over four months with about €400 in my bank account. You don’t need money to photograph or find wildlife, but to work hard to seek opportunities. Volunteering or exchanging your time/ skills/ knowledge with someone is a great place to start. If starting a video project or career in wildlife photography is of interest to you, I can make a video about it.

    Such a magnificent journey!
    The ice hotel was full of detail craftsmanship.
    Those birds must have been wonderful to observe. So hardy from the cold. The shading was like an oil painting.

    Just incredible, Dani. I'm so excited to see the next part of this journey. The drone footage was breathtaking. Knowing nothing about drones, I was wondering if you have to worry about battery issues with your drone in such cold territory and altitudes, such as the issue you had with your car battery? And please let us know the name of the ice hotel you visited! Such massive and intricate carvings! Once again, SO PROUD to be a patron of your work. And I really enjoy watching the journey to get to the wildlife as much as watching the wildlife. Without the habitat, we wouldn't have the wildlife, and it's important to appreciate both equally. ❤

    • @DaniConnorWild
      @DaniConnorWild  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Yes we do have to be wary about the drone. Fortunately we have three batteries and each lasts about 20 minutes which is enough to cover an area. So generally, we have in mind three locations for drone flights. Sometimes I can get a good number of shots in 10 minutes (and use the battery again) but when we had the drone follow the car, then it runs out quicker as it requires to go quite fast. Also, the cold impacts the drone battery a lot so if it's not too cold, then we can fly it longer!

Every year on the 14th of April they come in from the sea in large numbers and as a group. The time of the arrival is so precise that you can almost set your clock by it. An other place were you can find them in large numbers is of the island of Røst. This part of Norway has the highest number of sea eagles in all of Europe.😊
