I agree mate. I have a ranger .22 and im not a very materialistic person but I treasure it. Every time I go hunting or target shooting with it is a special occasion.
My 2 and a half yr old ranger is pretty crap nothing but trouble with build quality and the power My main problem has been cocking it sometimes it worked most of the time it did not Its been sent back to daystate 3 times and i was told there was nothing wrong with it So i stripped it myself and discovered the insides were full of rust Daystate say its because its made with an older striker housing thats why it rusted they sent me a new housing and hammer but the hammer jammed at the safety end daystate said that is right ha ha ha its made that way a little smaller so the hammer goes in from the bottle end complete bullshit My old housing inner diameter is 27mm the new housing 27mm The hammer jams on a large metal burr inside the new housing I have had daystates for 17 yrs now 4 to 5 years ago they were good Now they are put together with poorly made parts using cheap materials I have stripped 2 huntsmans and my ranger in the last 2 weeks and the build quality is rubbish 1 of the huntsmans (20 month old) had parts fitted that were so badly made they should have been rejected by the factory
I agree with mark I have nothing but trouble with my daystate airwolf, it had to go back to daystate.. they fixed one problem but I also had a little metal shard sticking up in the barrel right by the air transfer port and to my dismay they did not want to fix it! and it was a factor defect!! oh my daystate what are you doing to us customers.. you guys need to stand behind your products more and every one I talk too for the most parts says your customer service leave a lot to be desired.
Well lads, it`s been a year since I posted a warning, "Do not buy Daystate" ! Whatever you do ! - Hope all the negative answers have made your minds up, if not, then buy one, then please forward your negative answers to this post and threads. "If you shoot a Daystate, "WHEN" it breaks down, "IT`S YOUR FAULT FOR SHOOTING IT" "YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED" !!!
Sorry if my comments upset your opinion of Daystate Mr Bennett , i was simply reflecting the thoughts of the members of a large gun club and remarks i have read on shooting forums.(if many people`s negative thoughts of Daystate brand me as being ignorant" in your eyes" - then so be it ) If i wanted to own a Daystate rifle Mr Bennett i can "promise you" my bank account would allow me to, but with all the complaints i have read about these guns and the after sales "let down" - i will not purchase one. May i add that i have absolutely " no hatred" towards Daystate thank you.
From all the people i know that have or still own a Daystate they all say the same thing - "STAY the hell away from Daystate" !!! their after sales commitment to their customors is so crap its legendary
Mark sounds like you don't know what your talking about. Or upset you can't own one yourself. Daystate owner's are fanatical about our rifles. Stop your hating.
Hi Mark. I live in Australia and was horrified when Daystate sent me a rifle with no shroud, and so loud it scares all the game away. they don't say a whisper about this in their marketing blurb over here. They just take the shroud off for us as we're foreigners, and we're stuck cos we can't return it to the UK without customs problems at both ends of the journey. It's not possible to DIY fit a shroud either, because all the screws are glued into the rifle. I bought the rifle for pest control and it's a white elephant because I can only shoot one pest, then the rest bugger off due to the enormous bang. Plus, the neighbours aren't impressed. I did much better with my underlever weihrauch. Quieter, and amenable to DIY servicing. I also have an FX, which is quieter than the daystate and has power adjustment which is very handy. So, you can imagine, I am not a Daystate fan.
Jezyuk11 I guess because I live in the states where they are marketing for I can't complain. I had a leak on my Wolverine sent it in and haven't had any complaint against the workmanship. My airranger extreme 80 hasn't had any problems. But I've found no matter who you talk to someone has something bad to say. My crossman leaks my airforce leaks but still holds air .my hamerelli needs a breach seal and spring. I'm happy with my airguns regardless of the problems involved.
I agree there mark owned um for 17 yrs now and this is my last one badly build ,cheap parts and a pathetic customer service with the attitude daystates never have problems so its your fault I was told my rifle had broken because i had shot it I can say i will never buy a new one again and if anyone asks me i tell them to stay away from them The warranty is that good when i have contacted them again they told me to fix it myself and sent parts that dont fit together Even after they admit its gone rusty because the metal has not been protected properly
Probe seals lasting 3 years? I don't think so. It would help if Daystate put a couple in the package with the rifle. Other than that, I do think these are very good rifles. But to say no parts need servicing for 3 years, is, I think, Very optimistic.
Ive had nothin but hastle with my 177 air ranger 15 month old used under half a tin of pellets on the back garden and all was ok hittin cans and bottle lids i thought this gun is alot better than my bsa r10 mk2 then winter came so i put my guns on top of my wardrobe in there bag out the way now every now and then the ranger when i pull the bolt back to load a pellet it fires its self off its like that every 5 or so shots then i would have to pull the bolt back and start again also i would pull the bolt back place a pellet in the tray then push the bolt foward but it would stop about 20mm short and not lock in to place so i cant take the shoot it would shoot the bolt back till it locked in place my 10 shot mag damages the pellets so you can only get a group of pellets around 2sq meter at 35 yard at my gun club ive let some top shooters try my gun and its the same for them so i no its not me they told me to go back to the shop with it shootin under 500 pellets they would see its like new so i did but they said they only give you 1 year guarantee so im out of look ring daystate not bad when your spendin £1400 i think its time to get the r10 back out
Ha ha ha ha 3 years warranty Mine went back to them 3 times and still came back fucked all rusty inside because cheap parts were used Customer service ya its great when you email them with a problem around 2 weeks to reply after 3 emails sent Email them saying you want a new daystate ooooo you get a reply within a day or 2
As a future customer of a Daystate, and was thinking of getting one, I am alarmed at what I have read here in these comments! So, it's off to AirArms then, or Wiehrauch then.Sorry Daystate, this is very bad publicity!
Do Terry Doe and Tony Belas actually believe the things they’re saying on this vid? If so, they are totally deluded. Real world experience shows Daystate to be sketchy at best and often downright deceitful when it comes to customer service. For a premium price the products are far below premium quality.
I love my Daystate. Both Ranger and Wolverine. They are work's of art almost.
I agree mate. I have a ranger .22 and im not a very materialistic person but I treasure it. Every time I go hunting or target shooting with it is a special occasion.
canis lupus folks expect to get the same from every airgun. They're fool's. You get what you pay for.

Daystate say its because its made with an older striker housing thats why it rusted they sent me a new housing and hammer but the hammer jammed at the safety end daystate said that is right ha ha ha its made that way a little smaller so the hammer goes in from the bottle end
complete bullshit
My old housing inner diameter is 27mm the new housing 27mm
The hammer jams on a large metal burr inside the new housing
I have had daystates for 17 yrs now
4 to 5 years ago they were good
Now they are put together with poorly made parts using cheap materials
I have stripped 2 huntsmans and my ranger in the last 2 weeks and the build quality is rubbish 1 of the huntsmans (20 month old) had parts fitted that were so badly made they should have been rejected by the factory
Let's hope Daystate has improved considering I purchased a Revere only yesterday. All these comments are 6 years old..

Don't put customer service and daystate in the same sentence.. They have no clue what customer service means lol
