🇬🇾 Guyanese Kalonji Recipe 🇬🇾

  • Welcome! In this video I am making kalonji.
    Ingredients:
    4 Large Bitter Melon (14 OZ)
    13 OZ Shrimp
    1 Cup Water (to cook mangoes)
    1 Cup Diced Onion
    1 Cup Chopped Scallions
    1 Cup Diced Tomatoes
    2/3 Cup Green Seasoning
    1/2 Cup Diced Mangoes
    1/2 Cup Water (for masala paste)
    1/2 Cup Coconut milk/cream
    3 TBSP Curry Powder
    1 1/2 TBSP Tomato Paste
    1 1/2 TBSP Masala
    1/2 TBSP Paprika
    1/2 TBSP Garlic Salt
    1/2 TSP Garlic Salt (to boil bitter melon)
    1/2 TBSP Complete Seasoning
    1/2 TBSP Chicken Boullion
    1 TSP Geera
    1 TSP Adobo
    1 Packet Sazon
    Oil

    Gosh I dont like karelia but I grow it for my husband and just harvested 15. Your narrative and video makes it very easy to follow. I will definitely be trying this. Thank you for sharing your skills.

    If you cut your karelia into two half and scoop the seeds out ,then you don't have to tie it.
