By god these chaps should be doing the test drives for all 4x4's regardless of makes. They make fixing things look so easy. Love your way of thinking. Puts a dent in the way the systems of today have made it tough on people's expecting all to have money to spend to keep up with their expectations when you fullas show us this is not the case. There is a far cheaper way. The ole koro cooking the 3 kangaroo's he is so right. Many city people don't know how to share anymore.
That VH Commodore with the overheating coil was probably due to the fact that its had an older Holden Red motor swapped in which were points ignition with a 9 volt coil and had a ballast resistor that was part of the harness for the coil in the car it was fitted to. The VH had the Holden Blue motors which had 12v coils and electronic distributors, therefore no ballast in the harness. So the coil will be running at the full 12v instead of 9. Granted its a show and the fault was probably just feigned for entertainment, but im guessing it came from this very issue. Of course its technically not legal either due to being older than the car its in, emissions and all that, but this is in the middle of nowhere in the NT. Anything goes as long as it works.
@@castlemania08 I Have the same model ute, I know your pain, I had to replace both door handles 6 times in the few years I drove it and it leaked tranny fluid to the point it slipped into Neutral every time I turned left. Absolute crap car. It's sitting in the backyard rotting away currently.
I pity the fool that loves an XF Ford. *Door handle snapping intensifies* I've literally had to tear apart those crappy diecast handles with a plier and use a fishing hook to open the car up.
I wish young people of all races got the opportunity to spend some time with old elders , Australia would be a different place , learn a bit about the bush and how to survive if nothing else , aboriginal people have a lot to teach if anyone wants to listen and learn
"Yes we're Irish !" painted on the side of the car . Hahaha !! I'm Irish and that made my day !!
BallockyBill The car came like that. Someone gave it to us
I wonder how many cars have been resurrected in this TV show.
The attitude of the characters is quite inspiring. Makes you appreciate what you have.
brake pads from a boomerang ... love these guys' ingenuity
Not roadworthy either it’s stupid
Probably the best educational experience I have ever had
Good one. The white HQ wagon brings back some memories. My first car was an HQ Kingswood wagon with 3 on the tree.
Cool
I truly love these series. Bit of comedy and bit of reality as a blend. Thanks guys for creating and posting. Well done.

Wow... you sure know your Holden’s. But to tell you the truth it was just a prop for the show.
@@RebelFilms As I figured it probably would be. But with that combination of car and engine, that particular fault would not surprise me.
That XF wagon has seen better days...
I know :'( Poor XF. Well they cant all survive
Drove an XF ute with column 2 speed (?) shift automatic. Had arms of steel afterwards
