The reason Christina's death is so long after her initial arrest after the Pyramid show, is because the man she hurt at The Pyramid pressed charges, and approximately ten months later she was facing trial and too afraid of going to jail. Sadly, she killed herself before the trial even began.
I cant say for sure, but I know Christina never meant to hurt the guy. She was prone to these kinds of suden and inexplicable actions. She was just a free spirit in that way, acting before thinking. Im sure she never thought of the consequenses
It's very sad that it all turned out that way for her, thank you for sharing the information, Michael. I appreciate it. You are one of the few, who speak kindly of Christina.
Retro Room Really? That surprised me. A lot of people like to talk about how crazy Christina was because it makes for a great sound bite and will ensure their quote is used in a story. Off the record I think most of those same people will tell you they actually liked her. It's a sad commentary on our times that kindness doesn't make as good a story as snark.
I wish so badly there was more information out there about Christina, I only found out about Nelson's vlogs today and I have been watching back to back for hours. There is something so special about her, I cant help but keep digging. Thanks for these videos, I appreciate it! I wish her photos made it in the magazine.
I am so glad I could help re the tips for utilizing the SSDI - I am sad to hear you haven’t had too much luck yet. Since I am still taking on some genealogy accts I can access a lot of files to help with the hunt and I am absolutely down to help out. I am wondering if now that a few more folks who knew her have popped in with more info, if its possible to narrow things down even further (such as date of death and county, place of birth, etc). The info HAS to be there. I seem to recall looking and found no Christian Smith in PA who passed in NY May 1989, so I am thinking the legal name or date must be off. Anyway again, I am open to add my super sleuth skills to the mystery and perhaps we can get it solved. Keep up the great vids!
Awesome! I'd be more than happy... And I just emailed you re another vid you made asking for your email so I could get some info to ya :-) I will send that off in a few!
I love hearing about them past times I was having some great times back in the mid to late 80's the club kids scene wasn't my scene at the time becus I didn't know how to have fun buy fashion and dressing up and dancing and most of all listening to great dance music
Bubblicious: “I think Christina’s brilliant bc she’s just beyond...” Fenton Bailey: “Beyond?” Bubblicious: “Beyond. Her thing doesn’t have anything to do with being in drag, she’s just - Idk what she is, I just love her, though” Right - bc Christina Superstar wasn’t in drag - she was a woman. A trans woman. Also, it’s all speculation that she intentionally killed herself via overdose. She was obviously addicted, never sober (not a personal slight; just an observation and ***anyone*** **can become addicted**). It’s a sad fact that so many addicts never get very old. Accidental overdose happens. Also, whatever her cause of death it would be blamed on an overdose as a factor due to the fact she had drugs in her system and bc of tolerance from long term use, it would be cumulative in her system. She might’ve had a heart attack that was due to long term heart damage from her lifestyle and as soon as they saw the toxicology report, they’d have gone with overdose as a cause of death. It’s just what they do. Drug addiction also covers up many other conditions the same way it might contribute to and cover up cause of death. Especially when her body lay undiscovered for a whole week. It’s still possible she did it deliberately, of course. Consider that video of Nelson’s where they had a final dinner together. The way he acted was as if he suspected something or she might’ve told him something about her health or state of mind that evening. I think he knew something might happen and he’d never see her, again. We can’t know. She might’ve been ill with something that was terminal - cancer or AIDS (bc she engaged in risky behavior, she was def not risk adverse; she was a sex worker dominatrix during the beginning of AIDS, she smoked and drank and took drugs, she might’ve to suffered from a mental disorder that was rapidly progressing w her age such as schizophrenia which is also physiological, etc. ) - Again, just an observation that supports the theory she might’ve had a reason to take her own life, particularly if given a life prognosis of a short time to live or to live without extreme pain or health declination. I think it’s clear she was not in good health. Whatever happened, wherever you are, Christina - you’ll shine bright as a star, forever ⭐️ 🌟 💫

Hey, thanks. So it was dragged out over a long period then. Do you know why Christina attacked him? was it just totally random?

Of course she would be effected by it! Less than a year?! They don't call it PTSD bc it's a premonition.
