My personal favorite theory about Theon's legacy is connected to Jeyne Poole and the fate of the Dreadfort, whether Theon survives the books or not. I believe in TWOW Jeyne will be revealed to be pregnant with Ramsay's child. Let's set aside how horrible of a thing it would be for Jeyne, and focus on the child's future. Jeyne is legally married to Ramsay and her children will bear the Bolton name. Since I don't expect any Boltons to survive the books (r.i.p. Fat Walda's baby), something will need to be done about the Dreadfort and Jeyne's baby will be the most logical option. And, if the child would end up being male, I can't imagine Jeyne picking any other name for him than Theon, the man who saved her life. (+ the hillarious irony of Lord Theon being Ramsay's legacy, a person named after the man he so desperately tried to erase). It would be really cool if the child was also born without your classic Bolton eyes, signalling a new beginning. I think Theon's fixation on Jeyne's eye colour before and during the wedding might hint at it. The bride's eyes weren't gray and neither will be those of her heir.
Well, it's almost January and I remember -20°C and a lot of snow in this part of the year. Now it's not Winter, just Fall and Spring mixed. Edit: I'm from northern Poland

Interesting that Theon’s arrow hits the wilding holding Bran in GOT but then misses his mark and murders his own solider at the Moat after betraying the Starks in ACOK. I think Theon will get another chance to use a bow with three fingers, and the arrow will protect a Stark. It would be fitting that Bloodraven helps him hit his mark considering his own kingdom saving shot during the 1st Blackfyre Rebellion. When that time comes, Theon will not miss.
@@kiddbuu5178 tbh, Theon sacrificing himself for a Stark or any other person wouldn't be that bad. Him and Jaime need to redeem themselves before dying
@@kiddbuu5178but that makes sense right? Theon's ending in the show is one of those weird, random plot points that seems to be a bad adaption of something GRRM said to the showrunners.

Theon also knows some very important things, like backways into both Winterfell and the Dreadfort. Ways that the Boltons (in the case of Winterfell) don't know. In Avatar the Last Airbender: Uncle Iroh comments that he knew all his life he would conquer Ba Sing See, but now he sees it is his destiny to not conquer it for the Fire Nation but to liberate it FROM the Fire Nation. I can see Theon having a similar moment, Theon being the one who is instrumental in liberating WInterfell from the Boltons for the Starks. He kind of gets this in the show (honestly I would have been fine with Theon killing NK as Jon's words to him are a big reason he returns) but they fumble the landing. Though he should have lived long enough to tell Jon 'then I guess you are a Targeryeon... and a Stark' paying forward the same words Jon gave him.
I only just thought of this so it isnt a real theory cause I havent put it to any scrutiny. Theon wrestles with the idea of joining the nights watch before his "death" in clash. Theon also has kings blood, and a debt to pay to the Starks. He COULD choose to take the black after Stannis retakes winterfell, and it could be HIS kings blood, not Shireens, that is used to resurrect Jon. I have always been fond of the idea that Lady Stoneheart would give her "life" to bring back Jon like Beric did for her, but I know logistically this is unlikely because she's nowhere near the wall. Theon is close enough though, and has a similar-ish antagonist relationship with Jon. I dont even know if I want this to happen but now that I have said it I can claim I'm a genius if it happens.
"A good deed does not wash out the bad." - Stannis Baratheon Stannis is going to one burn Theon for his crimes against House Stark. Or take a couple of fingers like he did with Davos. Cause Stannis will need Theon knowledge of the enemy strength and lay out of Winterfell.

The greatest sin he and the gods know he committed, masquerading as the greatest crime the Stark faction believes he committed.
My favourite Theon moment is when Maester Luwin tries to convince him to take the Black when all hope is lost, and Theon is like “yea l’ll become the Lord Commander” 😅
What if the Ironborn legend of torgon also applies to the north. The tyrannical boltons take the north in Rickon, Jon and Bran's absence and one of them coming back ivalidates the Bolton's hold on the north and returns the North to rights. Maybe that is Theon's true purpose and its the reason Asha thinks of the legend of Torgon the latecomer since its likely very similar to whats going on in the North
Gods, I really want Rickon to be older, wild and bloodthirsty for vengeance for his home, for his house, for Red Wedding. I really want him to be the person, who really shows everyone whats "The North Remembers" mean. I would like him to see slits Bolton's throats in front of weirwood in Winterfell's godswood. And gave their carcasses to Shaggydog. Lord Rickon Stark, The Blood Drainer.
Given that Dance climaxes with the revelation of what Varys is up to, I'd be interested in an analysis of how he's going to influence future events. Bearing in mind that he might well connect up with JonCon he seems like a fairly intuitive choice for this series.
Interesting you talk about Torgon Latecomer. He was usurped by Urrathon. Guess who else is the only major character named Urrathon? (Unless you're a Peake fan with Urrathon Peake.) Urrathon Nightwalker in Qarth who had glass candles burning in his house. A man of magic who is also tied to the last kingsmoot in history? Urrathon Nightwalker could definitely parallel or even be Euron. Theon Latecomer

Something I have personally observed in the books which I have not seen mentioned that much or even at all is the parallels between House Targaryen and House Greyjoy. There are the obvious ones like heavy use of black on the banner alongside a mythical but very real creature, but there is also the Greyjoy appearance. For an island full of not very attractive people, House Greyjoy is second only to the Targs in terms of how many characters are described as good looking. It is true the Starks, Tullys, Tyrells, and Lannisters all have their share of good looking members, but Theon, Euron, Aeron, and Asha are all implied to be or outright stated to be very good looking. Ohhhh can we get a Winds of Winter Deadpool episode. My money is on StoneHeart, Quinten(for the first time), Hizdar, The Bold, The Flaming Kraken. My Long Shot Big Payout alive: Stanis the Manis dead: Jon Con (sorry)
I actually think if Asha is pregnant, that might make it more likely she'll die. George said this would be a dark book and it's possible her kingsblood will be used, and as we've seen with Falia and Rhaego, pregnancy might make it more potent. I've seen some theorise she'd die against the weirwood during the battle on the ice in her pov, which Bran/bloodraven would use to bring back Jon. Or even Stannis could do it similar to what he did to Shireen. Her ankle is still broken and there has been a lot of GRRM's favorite death symbolism over her head.
I hope Stannis infiltrates Winterfell through the Crypts. That would be poetic Justice for the Old Kings Of The North to play a part in retaking Winterfell for the Starks.
I don't know why you are wasting your time he is never going to finish the books. It has been 14 years. If he was writing them, he would be done. He stopped working on them a long time ago and is just leading you on for money
Theon is the new Grey King. Theon will steal Euron’s ship the Silence and destroy Euron’s kracken whiich will cause the ship to sink drowning Theon. Euron will summon the kracken by using blood magic by sacrificing one of his bastards. omg quinn the gm hi
I'd say I want you to cover Stannis next but for some reason you made him a video without putting it in this series..... Also love that defensive moment of you trying to defend your garbage favorite character there around the 7:30 mark. Classic Quinn, dying on that hill with his bad characters...
