It's hard to imagine that this year is The Disney Channel's 40th birthday!
1:01:11 to end of video - the countdown clip has been resurfaced for years now.
Great to see the full launch day program
1:01:14
Back when The Disney Channel was actually a Disney Channel.
27:19 is where he mentions “Star Wars” that are going to see on the Disney Channel. This was where Disney predicted “Star Wars” in which Disney now owns.
From what I've gathered, "Star Wars" actually did air on the old-school Disney Channel starting on New Year's Day, 1990.
I remember that around that time they had that along with *2001: A Space Odyssey.*
They showed non-Disney content more than non-subscribers realize.
40 years and still going strong. Disney Channel used to be a good back in the day, but nowadays, it sucks.
5:38-7:04, 40:08-41:35, Love that song! The video that had this before was taken down, so I'm glad to be seeing and hearing this again. Thanks so much!
The (almost) complete FULL uncut Launch Party for the birth of Disney Channel
Monday April 18th, 1983
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Disney Channel
This launch pack probably aired at 6am on Monday 4/18/1983 since the first show on Disney Channel aired at 7am
If Disney Channel’s turned 40 year old for first programed of 18th April 1983 and now as 2023, 40 years later but is too rare
I remember some of these movies and they're on Disney plus. But I also remember that first cartoon on Good Morning Mickey and it isn't on Disney plus. It's The Nifty Nineties. That's the name of the cartoon.
Next year the channel will celebrate it's 40th Anniversary of it's launch
In April 18th is Disney Channel’s birthday.
Happy 40th Anniversary, Disney Channel!!!!!🎂
Happy Birthday Disney Channel!
42:38 If there was a floating, silver Mickey head with a demonic grin prancing around in my room at night, dark, no one in the room, I would run out of my room crazy as heck and tell my puppies that my room is evil and the Mickey head is like Freddy Fazbear!
Somebody show this to Nelson Peltz so he can use it as evidence that Walt Disney Productions never used to have any kind of bias towards religion or politics until recently. Look at it this way: they got Helen Reddy and Donny Osmond in the same special, when Donny and his brothers were already part of *Disneyland After Dark,* which also had Louis Armstrong!
Happy 40th anniversary Disney Channel
1:02:37 When Disney finally entered the cable market & started their media platform empire.
I remember the show and these programs.
Happy late birthday Disney Channel
The Disney Channel turns 40 and it's just not the same as it was after the early 2000s.
So this year and in 2 weeks is the 40th anniversary of the Disney Channel
Yep. Time sure flies.
Disney Channel was launched in 1983
Next year is the channel’s 40th anniversary
What day did Disney Channel stop signing off every night and started airing 24 hours a day 7 days a week like every other TV network?
Originally the channel would run from 7:00am-11:00pm for 16 hours 2/3 of the day
12/1/1986
Not quite, it was on December 7, 1986.

28:06-28:20 Disney Flims are R Rated Flims?
No!
Touchstone broke the R-rated barrier with *Down and Out in Beverly Hills.* It is actually funny that they went straight from PG to R without doing PG-13 first.
