Add in Space Mountain, the music on this is Awesome! I never forgot it! Haunted Mansion is my 1st choice to race on usually and the song is so cool and fun. =) The Dinosaur one is great. I love them all for different reasons. I live that the title screen plays its a small world but why not have the race track? Why no Donald Duck and Mickey and Goofy? They chose a lot of characters no one would expect in the game which is clever but a new one needs to be put out with a lot of other characters and tracks and extras =)

I remember playing this as a kid and being like I suck. I recently was able to come back and play it as an adult and I definitely agree with you. The ai in this game were absurd. I could have near flawless driving and look to my side once in a while seeing multiple ai passing me. So many wtf moments from this game. Overall though really good racing game and I had some awesome childhood memories on it.
Agreed. Just look at 30:00 until 30:53. Look at all the changes in position from 2nd to 6th and Chip needed last second luck at the finish line to win the race. admittedly, those acorns should have struck Jiminy when he was behind Chip.

Am I the only one who finds it bizarre that the only recognizable Disney characters in this game are Chip, Dale and Jiminy Cricket? It's like what? Was Disney for some odd reason unwilling to let Crystal Dynamics and Eidos use any other characters beyond those three so they decided to get around that restriction by padding out the roster with Disney Afternoon rejects?
BlueDragon992 well I know for the first Kingdom Hearts game, one of the rules Disney had is that they weren't allowed to use Mickey's image except for one scene in the whole game. So maybe they had similar rules with the more popular characters for some earlier games like this

When I drew Ned, it was a pain in the backside trying to figure out how his hat is supposed to work hah.)
royalties, say that for example one character is made by and owned by walt disney, someone working for him creates a new character, disney as a company owns the character but has to pay the person who created him royalties for every use. its why you dont see massive crossovers in disney, marvel now owns almost all of its characters again aside from the spiderman series, so they can have huge crossovers, vs disney who cant due to the prohibitive cost of paying hundreds of people royalties.

With a plot like this, I think this would have made a great platforming/exploration game, and with chip and dale being in the game, it would have been a great opportunity to make amazing 3D environments to explore based off of all the attractions at Disney World. Tomorrowland, Disney Safari, Adventureland, the list goes on. I'm actually a little disappointed they took the easy route and made it a racing game.

The game was installed, but damn, the control buttons were not WASD and arrows, but 1 and 0 on the numeric keypad. i never realized how to unlock the robot back then. once i got ned (my favorite character) i left it for done. a few years later i realized you could unlock him collecting thr fairies/sparkles scattered around the track. also this game has a easter egg. in 2 player mode the 2nd player had a delay after moving to the select track screen. you could choose any charactee you wanted during that period, from locked characters to even mirror the one 1p chose ver

Collecting 10 coins is key to winning as once you have 10 you're kart is faster and you can pull away quite quickly however if you get hit you lose you're coins and slow back down to you're normal speed so recollecting those coins is essential you also need to make use of the shortcuts particularly the ones with the blue rings as the AI can't go through these so try again why don't cha?

PROBABLY BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF THE MAIN DISNEY CHARACTERS.

Basically the key to winning races in this game is simply take the shortcuts on each lap so you can get well ahead of everyone else!

This game is good, but it's really hard. The AI is ridiculously unfair on the difficulty as they constantly throw in weapons to slow you down.
