Glad you brought on the Bundt maker. I tried making a salmon cake (canned salmon) in mine last week without an egg, and it fell apart. Then I added an egg and it came out as perfect as your dressing doughnut.
🤗 ~ was wondering if you would try this! I make "stuffles" the weekend after T'giving ~ stuffing waffles ~ w/ the addition of egg to hold it together. This year I used Stove Top Herb & added sausage, shallot, celery & dried cranberries (soaked in Port!), all finely minced. So good w/ various leftovers on top, & or a fried egg. Now off to try in my Dash Mini Bundt ~ 😋
Great idea! I'm glad you used the egg, when I first saw you putting the stuffing in without it, I just shook my head. Also, we have always added cooked ground sausage to our stuffing, it may make for a more savory breakfast donut with the stuffing and egg; throw in shredded turkey for a lunch donut.
I’m going to try it in the bundt maker. This year for Thanksgiving I made the dressing with an ice cream scoop on a cookie sheet and froze the leftover ones.
Yum. I made the mini cinnamon rolls in my dash mini donut maker and they were fabulous bits of deliciousness I’ve been enjoying for days. Just one or two at a time. I skipped the included frosting and just moistened them a little with maple syrup, real maple syrup. Yummy but nice without too much
I can’t find that machine anywhere, it all for a bunch of mini donuts, I want that size! My autistic granddaughter loves to help cook and this looks like fun and is easy to clean! Edit- I’m in Canada, Dash doesn’t ship here, and yes I tried Amazon, eBay, Walmart, etc…
ooh, you know what else has bread crumbs (similar enough to boxed stuffing mix, for this discussion) & uses egg as a binder? meatloaf, will meatloaf donut? (you'd need to check it with a meat thermometer, though, to make sure it got up to proper temp, not sure how hot those little machines get)
You know I had to rewind the video because at first I thought I was seeing things but it actually did what a lot of cakes do when you open them too soon after they're done you know you supposed to let them cool a bit before pulling them out of the oven or they might fall that actually did do that. It literally kind of collapsed a bit.
I (and my family) have always made a very basic stuffing (we dint “stuff!”) using bread torn up, hopped small onion, chopped small celery, salt, pepper and lots of butter. I always bake mine as I like the crunchy top (and I really despise it being stuffed inside a turkey!!
If you had used potato starch or there's so many other things as well that you could have used as a binder I know it's very traditional to use eggs in the stuffing mix I just as I explained before don't bother with eggs because my son would never be able to eat it.
What usually keeps our stuffing together is it's not from a mix and generally it's because it's packed in you know we literally push it in and it's not as liquidy as apparently yours was putting in the butter does not help it makes it kind of worse because it loosens the bits so I can see why you put an egg in.
I never buy stuffing mixes I prefer to make it the old-fashioned way when I call the old fashioned way to joke I use croutons much like your stuffing mixes do and I add herbs and I had other things I use cranberries because my kids just love the flavor of cranberries in the stuffing and I add a few other things to make it kind of sweet and savory which is besides the Cranberries which give it a slight sweetness I also adding a bit of wine you know for cooking purposes and a bit of soup chicken soup which usually has some of the vegetables falling in as well it comes out deliciously sweet and savory oh I forgot to mention I put a little lemon rind and a touch of lemon in because it needs that punch or at least I think it does like I said sweet and savory is what I usually put in our stuffing and there's usually nothing left over some people put sausages some people put other forms of meat but ours is usually more vegetarian when you think about it we don't always use soup it depends if my son has enough to spare so sometimes it's more vegetarian or vegan I'm not sure what you would call it because it has no meaty particles at allI have in the past used a soup packet that is you know with vegetables and everything in it and is vegan friendly just because well in case you couldn't be finished when we had the bird it would be finished elsewhere and we keep kosher so you can't keep you can't make it dairy and me at the same time so it's best to keep it in the middle which is neither dairy or meaty so you can put it wherever you need to. A lot of people put eggs in their stuffing we do not my son does not handle eggs in there for he wouldn't eat it if we put eggs in it as a general rule we do not have eggs in the house because of him.

For a little added interest add some dried cranberries to the water when making the stuffing.
I didn't know I needed a donut or bundt machine until now 🤭
LOL
Never have I ever...
even thought about making a donut from stuffing mix.
Very creative & thought provoking! 👍
Thanks!
You are a genius!
👍😁
Stuffing waffles...could be made ahead and frozen, then popped in a toaster to reheat.
Yum!
great idea

yeah, sometimes an egg can make all the difference
I’d like to try my stuffing in the Bundt maker or even the griddle! Doesn’t matter if the ending looks good, I’m not a fancy eater😀😀
I add chopped onion ans celery when i make it. Makes it more fresh tasting.😊
Well I know what I'm going to have for dinner
Wow, I can’t believe it when you added the egg how it came out. Holy cow.

Sounds great!
I need to get some of these appliances…all I have is the waffle maker. I’m always so intrigued with your test recipes. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching
It's great in the waffle maker too. Lots of good crispy divots for gravy. :)
We were snowed out for our turkey dinner this year (way way upstate NY) so didn’t get my turkey fix this year! What great ideas!
I wonder if added mashed potatoes instead of flour, how that would be
Love your experiments! Thanks for sharing. :-)
Thanks for watching!
Great idea for a sandwich, tfs!
thanks for watching
How fun!

Great different ideas that were well executed! ✅ Thank you. 💕 Who would have thought??
Looks yummy!!!
Great idea for a video👌👍

I would suggest contacting Dash via their website and asking where the product is available in Canada.

Thank you...interesting...!!! I think a serrated knife would be better.

I have the waffle bowl maker. I need to try this.

Yes, we always make a homemade bread stuffing similar to that.
I wonder if ' "cornstarch " would work as a binder.?
I hope Dash is takin' care of the channel, for as many of these things it's probably selling for them😆😂
Dash has never supported this channel.
@@CounterCooking They should👍 Never heard of them before your channel.

Where did you get your donut maker? I can’t seem to find them in stores.
I put a link to it in my pinned comment
Our Target had a lot of the mimi Dash machines. I went for the rice cooker

If you let the first one cool I wonder if it would stay together
it would’ve had to cool in the donut maker. There was no way to get it out without it crumbling.
😃✌
3:24 "I think that looks good."
Me: "I respectfully disagree."
