      This is great to read and I am delighted that you like my videos.
      One of the easiest ways to learn it, if it is a available in your area, is to go and get a bracelet welded on. Look at their operation and all that is going on, and then get it done. You'll understand the experience very quickly. It will be worth it to pay retail for it. For the rest, I am here virtually!

    Wow! $385,000? I just added it to my shop but I’m not doing outside events at all. I’ll be curious to see revenue this year. So far, it’s about 25% of store sales.

    • @stonesandfindings
      @stonesandfindings  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, please let us know how it goes - I think everyone wants to know. 25% is a great start especially if you just added it. Remember - you need to advertise that you have it.
      -weld lots of bracelets on yourself - you can test how each chain wears and show customers.
      -show it all over social media
      -if you're not on a busy street with random walk-ins, then you want to do events outside to bring in the traffic.
      -if you're not crazy busy at the store, or if you have sufficient staff to help, you could consider contacting event planners (like weddings, batmizvahs etc). THis way, they can come see your work, know that you're established, then hire your services for this. (You might need to purchase a backup welder for this). THis will drive lots of traffic to your store, even for your regular merchandise. The whole idea is to get exposure. Yes, you'll earn very good money on the side, but you want to build traffic for your store. Guests love shopping after an exciting and fun occasion and see what else you have.
      Good luck!

    How long do they chain kit last

    • @stonesandfindings
      @stonesandfindings  24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Meaning how many bracelets it can make? The average bracelet is 6.5" to 7" long, each metre has 39.5", so you get around 6-7 bracelets. Starter kits normally give you about 85 bracelets, but there are bigger kits.
      If you're asking how long the chains last for before they tarnish - gold filled, is supposed to be a life-time. I've had my oldest one for about 3 years now and it looks virtually brand new. FOr the silver, it's tarnished on the inside of the links, but shiny outside. It has a nice antique silver look. Don't ever use plated. For permanent jewelry, it will not work well because of the constant friction.

      I honeymooned in the Bahamas. I love it there!!! Then our family sailed through the islands and I love Staniel Cay. Paradise island, of course. Permanent jewelry is perfect for tourism as well.

    How can I do this from my home? I would like to start small like this since I can’t start a store front yet. I know I can do in-person pop up shows, but I’m wondering how it would be to do this from home?

    • @stonesandfindings
      @stonesandfindings  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Many customers have sectioned off an area so as to preserve the privacy in the home (customers don't have to go through the whole house to reach it.
      So, some have:
      -used their basement with a side entrance
      -front room (what was the library/office) that's just inside of the door
      - heated and decorated garage
      - some have built a small cute shed
      THen they advertised on social media, going to pop-ups and artisan markets to get sales and then bring in traffic for repeats. Some have done a big kick off party with friends and relatives with a discount on the first 50 bracelets and told them to tell others.

      Thank you so much for the response, Dana!
      And more particularly, do you know how people who do this already, go about it from a business set up perspective- Like is there an extra license, registration, paperwork needed to use your home as a storefront?

    watching from toronto! how much are the in person trainings and where is the location for it

    • @stonesandfindings
      @stonesandfindings  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yay! Fellow Torontonian. I am located in the King and Bathurst area. If you have not yet purchased a welder, we offer packages which includes the lessons. If you have purchased a welder, in person one-on-one lessons are $400/hr with me (or if you have staff and would like to include them, I can accomodate upto 3 students comfortably). Everyone can learn and master it within that time. I have yet to have someone who hasn't.
      I don't have group lessons right now, but I've had many requests and I have not yet figured things out.
      The best thing to do is to email me at sales@stonesandfindings.com with any questions if you're interested - then I can give you a more specific and helpful answer.
      Thanks.
      Dana

    Is it possible to hire someone to apply the jewelry to customers??

    • @stonesandfindings
      @stonesandfindings  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, absolutely. Training costs are not very high in most cases because it is simple to master. You can also see about collaborating with someone who is already experienced and see if they want to work part-time, if you have a store. I've created a free-online service - PJ Match Finder.
      It connects PJ artists and stores/boutqiues/salons who might be interested in hosting
      pop-ups together.
      THis video explains it better:
