    i love how you explain things. Can you do a video explaining the differences between micro welding and soldering?

      ooo - that's a great idea. I will add this to my list. I have a running list of videos to make. I only do this on the weekends. I have a full time job - I wholesale premium jewelry components, especially gold, gold filled and Italian silver chains and charms for permanent jewelry. I bought the machine a few years back to weld jewelry - way before permanent jewelry was a thing. I just love the machine and whenever people asked about the same questions about the machine, I'd make a video to answer. It all takes time and I do everything myself - tiring but I love my little machine. Anyway, I appreciate people supporting me by watching and liking, and if ever they want genuine, high quality chains and at really good prices, to consider buying them from us.

    What if you have to have surgery or mri or scan. You cant wear jewelry...

    • @stonesandfindings
      @stonesandfindings  ปีที่แล้ว

      You cannot wear it during MRI. For surgery, you can wear it (I know this because a customer told me). However, you can cut it and then weld it again. Oh, also if you get arrested, they cut it off (and yes, a customer who does PJ told me about this, too. Underage drinking in the States - serious stuff, LOL).

      You can not wear any jewellery during surgery. You can't even wear nail polish

      You can't wear during surgery I had an anklet welded on last year and they had to cut it off in March when I underwent surgery.

    Does it have to be removed when getting a medical MRI?

    • @stonesandfindings
      @stonesandfindings  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes! So, you can go get the chain cut and have a lobster clasp added on to it.

      Yes

    That is cool you can weld chain to chain esp when the chain is so small for my eyes lol, how has it held up thank you

    • @stonesandfindings
      @stonesandfindings  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It holds up perfectly if you do it correctly!! It literally melts both ends of the chain together. My daughter's bracelet with the pearl finally broke - she had it caught on a door handle when she was rushing and ripped it off. It did not break at the joint, but broke elsewhere!

    Would love to see the jump ring used for the chunky ring shown in this video!

      I shot the full video of the chunky ring being made. I think I did a close up of it. Looked awesome and fit perfectly.

    Love this video! What brand machine do you use to weld the jewelry?

  • @jengerhold2054

    hello! love this! Can you do a video explaining how often you need to change the needle in the welder? Do we need a tool to file down the needle as well?

    • @stonesandfindings
      @stonesandfindings  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The needle is called an electrode. I have a video called electrode care. You don't need to change it often and I've been welding with the same one for over a year. You can use a nail file if you don't have a sanding disc.

    I have a question. My daughter is just beginning this work and I'd like to know if when using the welder, your skin touches the earthed crocodile clip, would you be electrically shocked?

    • @stonesandfindings
      @stonesandfindings  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      no you shouldn't feel the shock. I have tried it when I forgot to put on the leather. But again, only for Sunstone welders - I have no experience with other makers.

    Love your videos and explanations! I am interested in buying some of your chains and jump rings. What size jump ring is recommended for these tiny permanent bracelets so they don’t stand out?

    • @stonesandfindings
      @stonesandfindings  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      THank you for the compliment!!! If you're referring to gold filled, the best is 3mm 24 ga. They are easy to use and inconspicuous. The product code for GF is FJ12G.
      For sterling silver, 3mm 22 ga (silver is softer than gf). Product code is FJ00S.
      If you have any trouble finding anything, feel free to email sales@stonesandfindings.com for faster reply.

    What happens when you gain too much weight

    • @stonesandfindings
      @stonesandfindings  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      LOL - great you're planning for that. However, as a supportive and positive person, I would say you can also try to lose the weight ;). This might be a litmus for weight loss - if you feel it tightening, it is time to lose weight!!!!
