Yoimiya is the character for the lazy like me. No mechanics needed. Activate shield, activate xq burst and just stand there to pew pew the enemies to death.
Yep, this is why I main bow characters (mainly ganyu, yoimiya, and yelan). Just pop shield, stand in one spot and easily kill every type of enemy. No need to aim, move, worry about range. It's amazing.

Same. Even in the Abyss, I always use Zhongli, Yoi, or Kokomi over my heavy invested unit like Hu Tao, Eula, or Xiangling. I don't want to restart the chamber because my unit dies or to recharge my burst. I just want my primos.
In terms of her banner, I have a feeling many would choose to save primos instead because of Sumeru coming very soon with new dendro characters and reactions. Yoimiya seems to have gotten the short end of the stick in banner timing again, with her previous banner being between Ayaka and Ei. Really is a shame since she is very fun to play
Hard to say. People might be out of primos from kazu banner and ppl dont really seem to be all that interested in the 5 star on 3.0 banner. Could depend on whats rerun but if u were close to pity and want to try for the 4 stars without wanting the 5 than she may be a good option to pull
I've heard that 3.0 rerun is Zhongli Ganyu again. But regardless, if you like the character, just pull for them. No need to calculate in advance

I enjoy running Yoi with Yelan, c6 Fischl and Zhongli. Not her best team but it still hits like a truck and looks like a laser light show. Breezed through the second half of floor 12 this rotation.

The thing with Yunjin's buff is that it gets multiplied when Yoimiya crits.
Edit: I tested Yunjin's buff. However, these NA damage numbers are slightly rough estimates but enough to see the significance.
My Yoimiya has
77.5% Crit Rate
174.4% Crit Damage
Below are the resulting damage numbers of her first normal attacks:
*Physical
No Yunjin buff
>Not crit: 1,300
>Crit : 3,800
With Yunjin buff
>Not crit: 3600
>Crit: 10,500
*Pyro infused NA
No Yunjin buff
>Not crit: 2,800
>Crit : 8,000
With Yunjin buff
>Not crit: 5,700
>Crit: 16,500
In short, with Yunjin's buff, you don't have to worry in getting to Yoimiya's last NA because Yunjin's buff works well on buffing low multipliers i.e. Yoimiya's first NA. This also makes it possible to dodge and shoot so you can get rid of a shielder like Zhongli and just replace him with a sub dps or a buffer like Bennett.
This is how I play and get 36 stars in Abyss with her. But if I want to be comfortable, I can use Zhongli so I could just ungga bungga but still kill things with ease.

True. Bonus Damage and Crit Damage multiply it. That's how flat damage works. It gets added to the sheet attack which is your total attack × skill multiplier.

Exactly the problem with her kit (well not problem, lets say, quirk). She needs to CRIT. If she is not CRIT'ing, then she might as well be dancing on the field. Contrary to many earlier belief, Yoimiya can be super resin expensive if you want carrying the team through abyss. I am still grinding for 90% CR after 4months. Still no end in sight.
Yes, I have had little Yoi baby since she was shunned by people last year and have pretty much regularly had her on my teams. But I only got serious about grinding domains because thats the actual meta for this game lol and because abyss floor 12. If you just play normal overworld stuff - yea, she can cheese through all of it. Just left click to eternity. And some dodge obviously

I really like Yoimiya, even if she's not meta I've been saving up everything for her, i couldn't get her a year ago but now I have 69 pitty and ~62 wishes, on s 50/50 but I'm sure I'll be able to get her, i just need to farm a little more talent books and some samachurls for lvl 90 talents 10 8 8

Even though she isn't the best, she is my favorite character by far, and her dps is far more satisfying then it needs to be for a f2p build, triple crowned and everything. even with some issues, shes still so much fun

For people who dont have a high refinement rust: You can use the 3 star weapon, Slingshot at r5. The 0.3 second hit window is quite large and its low attack can be made up with bennett. The Slingshot can actually outdamage an r5 rust in some scenarios.

Pretty sure that it's impossible for slingshot to outdamage rust in any situation
Not necessarily an r5 rust, but the Slingshot at r5is a decent weapon
By some scenarios they mean it can be better cause the 30% cr lets you optimise articats more towards crit damage and with bennett you make up for the lower attack stat, especially since it has a massive damage modifier on it.

I’m pulling for her because her autotargetting is so useful especially when you are facing something like an annoying flying boss like the wolflord. Also I really like her as a character! Manifesting to win my 50/50 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Owning both a tp Yoimiya and homa hutao, I use yoi much more. She’s so convenient, easy to use and does really good damage. I can’t wait to get constellations for her

damn same. I havent used my hutao in like an year or so just because yoimiya is so convinient to use
I have both C1 Hutao and C0 Yoimiya, and while Hutao can do very high damage, her playstyle feels like you'd have to sacrifice fun for big damage numbers; Yoimiya on the other hand is more fun to play, despite may not be able to do as much damage in short burst.
If I am being honest, I find play Diluc more fun and satisfying than Hutao, despite he got shatted on by meta-slaves.
A lot of characters are more convenient than Hu Tao tbf
I’ve just been wondering why they didn’t put heizou in her banner. That way she would at least get some more attention and sales. It could at least balance the over time profits. I think she will not do well due to Kazuha and Heizou together on one banner.

Because putting 2 desirable characters on a single banner is strategic. It means tha someone who wanted kazuha and heizou has to pull on kazuhas banner. And if they do not get it they wont have time to save. This will make it more difficukt for people who only want heizou.
@@drained1177 Actually, putting two widely desired characters on different banners would probably give them more sales. People might want both, and they might spend all their primogems on the Kazuha/Klee banner, then turn to buying genesis crystals to get Heizou on Yoimiya’s banner.

I accidentally got Yoimiya last Summer when she-and Sayu, who I was actually rolling for-first came out. At the time I was a little disappointed, but now she's one of my favorite characters to use, especially with supports like Xingqiu or Yelan. She's just so much fun!!!

I don’t get why people say she’s “fine”. Her damage is amazing and pairing her with supports like yelan, Bennett, yun Jin and so on will make her destroy the game.
The reason is she hogs more top tier supports to perform worse than a character that came out before her
@@Nhyufll debatable. Her paired with yelan, Bennett, and yun Jin is amazing and she definitely does not perform worse. She’s more comfortable to play than hu Tao because of hu Taos hp sacrificing and complex mechanics.
Bc of her lack of AOE and the fact that her ult is virtually useless. Still love her tho, just wish hoyoverse gave her at least a little more of AOE, since her entire theme revolves around fireworks..
@@devilsadvocate7474 i wouldnt call her ult useless, on shimi its usually up right when your skill ends so you can use it before swapping her out and it adds a decent amount of extra damage. It even buffs her pyro damage on c2 though who the hell even has c2. I only really do this in the abyss though as its really kind of overkill in the overworld. Its not a useless ult but it definitely isnt anywhere near the best in the game
Her damage is not amazing. She doesn't work well with Yun Jin, the video explains it well.
Yoimiya is my first limited 5* character and my only 50/50 win at that (I've lost 7 50/50s in a row after her). Yoimiya has carried me from AR 21 all the way now to AR 57. She's my only triple crowned character and easily my most well-built one at that (w/ 2.2k atk 79/180 crit on 4pc Shimenawa and an R2 Rust). She's been in my overworld team since the day I got her and that will probably never change. I also use her all the time in abyss, in various kinds of teams, and she still carries my runs to a full 36* clear. Whenever my friends need help farming bosses, specters, or the rifthounds, they always ask me to bring my Yoimiya, because she makes things much easier.
I had heard of the issues that theory crafters and content creators were saying about her, which was by the way super exaggerated and they were being very biased, when she first came out but I still pulled for her regardless because I enjoyed her playstyle, loved her design, and adored her personality and story quest. Seriously she did not and will never deserve any of the hate that anyone directed to her as she is far from the worst character in the entire game and is actually one of the most compassionate, caring, and wholesome characters lorewise

When I first pulled for Raiden people told me not to and that she sucked but I pulled anyway (lost the 50/50 back then but got her on her most recent banner). Ignoring the wide opinions of the community is best. I will be pulling for Yoimiya for the first time. Hope I win the 50/50. :)

I have been waiting for her rerun since I love her design and easy gameplay. It sucks that she's after Kazuha and right before Sumeru. Hopefully I can get her early and start saving primos for Nilou and Kusanali. Good luck to anyone wishing for her!

Let me clarify something about Yoimiya's lack of of AOE. It doesn't mean that she's weak against groups of smaller enemies. Quite the contrary. Let me give a real world example. A machine gun also doesn't have any AOE, but it is one of the most effective anti-infantry weapons. Same with Yoimiya. Yes, she can only kill mobs 1 by 1, but she does it so quickly that she feels like a one man firing squad. You literally mow down groups of hilichurls or treasure hoarders. The only situation she struggles with is when there are two or three beefy enemies at the same time, and the fight is time gated. Which normally only happens in the abyss. Apart from being ill-suited for that specific scenario, she is absolutely fine as a DPS.
Even that particular situation of beefy enemies is pretty much irrelevant with a well-built vape team. Hydro shreds the shit out of basically everything
Her range and high attack speed make her really good vs those annoying abyss waves where you have 5 hilichurl ranged units spread 100 miles apart from eachother. AoE doesn't matter if grouping enemies at all is an issue.
Finally someone says this. Aoe don't matter if each enemy can be mowed down one by one
thing is tho a full em kazuha on yoimiya team would mow down a group of enemies just from swirl so you dont need to have crazy aoe on yoimiya
@@Grapejellyification Yeah using Hu Tao is a bit of a struggle with annoying non clumped hillichurls. Not only do I lose stamina for running, it also takes time

I'd argue her flexibility and great synergy with most supports and subdps' is also a huge bonus in her favor, you can run her in so many comps it's not even funny. Not all characters in this game can afford you this many playstyles. Not all of them are made equal, but having the variety also helps with team building and makes the game more fun.

My personal dilemma is to pull for C2 Kazuha or wait for the sumeru characters.
yoimiya is the only character i wanted that wasn't based off of meta, i wanted her simply for her character design and her endearing personality... i've been debating on finish building her to lvl 90 and crowning her NA(thx for the correction) and E, since I do have a R5 Rust and a somewhat decent shimenawa set so her current stat is at lvl 79 and 75/166
If you want to crown her, you need to crown her Normal Attack first before her E skill. Her skill transforms and enhances her NA into pyro infused arrows but her dmg is reliant on the NA multipliers of her talent. Her skill does not deal any damage, it only improves her NA dmg.
I've got her on release just because of her yelling while using the Q and her animations while attacking. That alone made me think "to hell with it, I'll gonna burn my guaranteed pull on her!" after holding it since a 50/50 dreadful loss at Childe. And i never regretted it since, after all, 2 weeks before her banner I also got my first 5* weapon and it was an amos bow. She's now my best and funniest DPS, specially when pairing with Raiden.

As someone with a staff of homa hu tao since patch 1.3, I chose yoimiya over her the vast majority of the time if I need a pyro dps 😅 On paper single target doesn’t sound as good, but yoimiya with good supports is just so strong and convenient and kills everything so easily that it doesn’t matter at all lol

I've stuck with Meta-ish characters for way too long now, so I'm extremely excited for her rerun. As fun as it is to use Raiden, Eula, Ayaka, and Kazuha to clear content quickly, it gets VERY stale after a few months (or in the case of Kazuha, after a year straight of using him in almost every team). I'm really hoping that I win the 50/50 and get Yoimiya, since I have not used a 5 star bow character on my main before, and I miss using characters that dont rely on their bursts to output a consistently high amount of damage.
ive found yoimiya really fun to play recently, yelan really improved my enjoyment of her as well, i dont like the feel of hutaos charged attack playstyle and diluc got boring after 6 months, i think for most players who end up passively farming a good shimenawas she will probably suprise you with her consistency. of all my teams she one phases the raiden shogun boss the fastest and does so consistently.
also any one having issues with ruin serpent give her a shot, she decimates it
I love yoimiya so much, and I often take her to abyss when the enemies have large HP pools. She hasn't failed me yet to 36* my abyss runs. She might not be meta but she's so easy to play and you only need her at c0 to shred. I run her with c3 yun jin, c0 zhongli and c6 xingqiu and its a very fun team to play I think.
I didn’t really want Yoimiya, but while trying to get Sayu last year she came home super early and I didn’t expect it. I didn’t know how to feel about it at first but wow, she’s one of my favorite characters to play! Pretty much since getting her I’ve ran her on my main team. No regrets! ♥️🧡

If I fail to get Kazuha by the time his banner ends I wouldn’t mind getting yoimiya because I personally find her range to be her best attribute, especially in the abyss when there’s a ton of ranged/airborne units

I really like Yoimiya. I was really happy when I got her. Exploring became so much easier since I don't need to constantly switch teams when there's flying enemies, torches, enemies on towers etc. A very comfortable unit to use, you just neet to click auto atk especially when you have a good shielder.

I'm thinking back to that one video on the chasm event that IWinToLose did and remember seeing every enemy disappear one by one as Yoimiya shot them once and I think that was the intended Yoimiya experience

A proud Yoimiya haver here. She's very fun to play no cap. I usually use new characters to farm for their friendship exp but with Yoimiya, I didn't even realize that she's already friendship 10 cuz her gameplay is so interesting

Been using her mainly in overloaded teams and with her I'm having so much more fun than with a majority of units in this game.
When i found any trouble killing something i use Yoimiya with Zhongli, Raiden and Yae, and i just love the overload chaos that happens! So many things flying away in multiple explosions...

i would say yoimiya has the most freedom when it comes to team building and works with the most characters out of any dps in the game.
As a happy Yoi main, she’s very fun to play! Shes my strongest character for boss fights but also one of the most fun units in my roster. Good luck to any Yoimiya wanters!!
been saving for her rerun cos i want her so bad in my vaporize team, so i've prepared all of her stuffs and planning to c6 and get her signature weapon (artifact sets with decent stats, ascend materials, talents, and even got her sub weapons ready r5 rust, and hamayumi)

I love Yoimiya. I've been using her as my Main Pyro DPS over Hu Tao. She doesn't consume stamina, she's ranged, she doesn't miss, you barely have to move her when attacking so long as she has a shield, etc.
Yoimiya is my absolute favorite character in the entire Game. I love her design, her lovely personality, her gorgeous animations, it is lovely.
While I do love Yelan a bit more because her design and playstyle are fabulous, nothing could replace Yoimiya's place in my heart.
She is great, she is spunky and fun, and she will be the first character I ever actually whale for.

Yelan feels a lot like Yoimiya tbh. Less damage but she doesn’t miss, more fun because of her E, and much better uptime if your ER is good enough. I pretty much use my yelan like a yoimiya in overworld. It’s gonna be fun to use them together soon

I pulled on her banner last year and got her. She is now one of my most built character, simply because of how much emblem sets I have to farm. I plan to go for her bow if it comes back.

Yeah but the thing is, you'll rarely use her with a sub-dps in serious situations (like boss fights or abyss) you'll want every buff and off-field support possible so that's Zhongli shield, Bennett ult, Xingqiu, Yelan, Yun Jin, or even Raiden. Using Raiden with her is not really ideal though unless you're fighting a boss cause smaller enemies will just explode away from you thanks to overload.
YES!... if you pair her with sub DPS like xingqiu, Fischl and beidou it would be worth it to use her burst at the end of the rotation since it would increase your overall DPS. But if you pair her with kazuha, yunjin, Zhongli/yelan then it is not necessary to use her burst(especially if you're using shimenawa/hamayumi) as they do not benefit much from it. (but if you're using TP, use her burst)

Thank you for this! I love yoi's design and personality but was unsure about using primos to pull for her. I agree that she is a balanced character, not game-breaking but not bad either. i decided to pull for her since i like her so much, do not regret it one bit!!
Truth to be told, in this days with the Yun Jin and Yelan comp she deal more damage of Hu Tao vs boss especially if they have mobility and/or can fly like Ruin Serpent and Golden Wolflord and she work very well with 4 star bow like Rust and she is easy to use.

Maybe at c0 yes. But at high cons, yelan c4 already widen the gap between hutao and yoimiya, it almost feels like hutao gained another constellation, not to mention the incoming hydro resonance rework. Total of 65% hp buff for hutao

Edit: 12:02 now this is just straight up false. Her best support Yunjin is not top tier support for any other team besides her. There’s also Yelan who no other team uses because Xingqiu is arguably better bcs of dmg resistance and interruption resistance. The only top tier support Yoimiya really use is Zhongli which can be replaced with Thoma or any other shielder. So no Yoimiya does not hog all top tier supports to herself she is probably the best 2nd vaporise team you could use for spiral abyss because unlike Diluc or Hu Tao she DOESN’T hog top tier supports to herself. You’re giving the wrong impression to people who wanted her for a 2nd vape team in spiral abyss
I agree, I'm running Yoimiya with Yelan, Diona and Yunjin/ Mona. Bennett, Kazuha, Xingqiu and Zhongli are on the other team or not even used. I sometimes es switch Zhongli with Diona for the geo resonance, but the difference in damage is not much, it's just when I need a stronger shield. Not to mention that Beidou and Fischl work extremely well with her. If Yoimiya takes all the best supports, what about Raiden then lol, both her best teams require Kazuha, Bennett and Xingqiu

1. "GENERAL USE". He said general use. basically just standard yoimiya team, just casual. the one you're talking about with yun jin is hypercarry yoimiya.
2. By what he meant hog is that she loves the top tier supports to unlock her max potential. sure, yun jin is not a top tier support, but I'd argue yelan, kazuha, and Bennett is.
the team he listed earlier is yois highest dmg potential team, iwintolose often focuses on nuke and record setting teams so his "best" teams are often different then what ur casual players best team would be. The thing about his 2nd statement is that its somewhat true but he didnt elaborate enough, yoimiya does often want high value supports like bennett, yelan, zhong, or even kazuha but the difference between her and many other 5 stars is that she isnt tied to any specific support, so even if u have to use bennett or kazu in another team u can still use the high value supports u have left over on yoi and she'll still work great. I think yunjin would be the only support thats really good on yoimiya that isnt necessarily high value, u could argue fischl too but I wouldnt say her best team comps include her
This is true. Yunjin is definitely the best support for Yoimiya in regards to damage increase. The other top tier supports she uses are replaceable. XQ can be replaced with Yelan or even Kokomi. Yoimiya's ICD makes Kokomi's hydro aura more prevalent. She can also use Fischl and even better at C6 due to rapid firing attacks, but you can also run beidou, Raiden, or Yae Miko. Yoimiya can run any shielder, even running Thoma better than Hu Tao due to flaming barrier occurence being quicker with Yoimiya, she can run TTDS TankFei much like Hu Tao as well as running Diona.
Hu Tao actually hugs the top tier supports. You would never see Hu tao without XQ. Name a generally used Hu Tao team without him... point proven. Hu Tao would also use Kazuha or Sucrose, both of which are top tier based on what's needed [l-mntl dmg bonus or EM] and Hu Tao generally runs Tankfei or Zhongli, which kinda maker Thoma the designated support for yoimiya.
So, the statement that Yoimiya hogs the top tier supports is like 25% true, and the top tier supports she hogs are interchangeable whereas Hu Tao's are strict considering order of vaping matters for her with a nonICD CA.

People often compare C1 Hu Tao with Homa to Yoimiya with Pulse and they say that Yoimiya sucks.
Yoimiya is much more f2p friendly. Her constellations and weapon are a minor improvement over C0 Rust. A f2p Yoimiya is practically the same as Hu Tao.
Yoimiya is also much more flexible when it comes to teams. Meanwhile Hu Tao is so reliant on charged attack that she is forced to be run with vape. Hu Tao best team has Zhongli and Albedo. Meanwhile Yoimiya's best team uses Zhongli and Yunjin instead of Albedo.
Hu Tao is clunky forcing players to cancel animations for optimal play. She also has major stamina issues that her C1 fixes. Hu Tao also prefers to stay at low health. This is a major downside when damage goes through shields like corrode or when self damaging reactions come out Hu Tao with dendro.
People who have Hu Tao will say that Yoimiya is bad.
People who have Yoimiya will say that she's fine.
People who have both will say that Hu To is slightly better but they will end up using Yoimiya for convenience.

I agree to almost everything you said up until you said Hu Tao was clunky
1. Pressing space each time you charge attack doesnt require any skill so i dont get what you mean by clunky (unless your on mobile, you'd definitely be better off with Yoimiya)
2. Hu tao prefers to be under 50% but Hu tao's 50% is Yoimiya's full health so i dont see any problem
3. As long as you dont sprint cancel on c0 Hu Tao you will have more than enough stamina each rotation for your charge attacks
4. And lastly i want to point out just cause a 5* is required for their "best" team doesnt mean they are less versatile as Hu Tao can run 4 star supports just as well as Yoimiya (Hu Tao, Tankfei, Sucrose, Xingqiu is one of the team that i use from time to time)

I pulled for her last year as my first 5 star, and I still use her everyday. She’s so reliable, I love her so much. I’m hoping to get her weapon because she’s my favourite character in the game and she deserves it, even tho R5 rust is really good on her. Goodluck to all Yoimiya wanters!
Yoimiya is my favourite DPS in the game. Using her with Fischl, Zhongli and Xingqiu. I just love her fast spam clicking playstyle with her infused attacks which is also a very comfortable because you can just stand and spam click. She isn't as strong as Hu Tao but she is definitely good enough to do 36* Abyss and between Hu Tao, Ayaka, Raiden and Yoimiya, Yoimiya is my dps of choice.
+She is absolutely adorable and her ornaments are really pretty.
So yeah, I recommend trying her out in the trial because she is really fun to play.
She deals a lot of damage in a short time, most of her damage comes from normal attacks and she's easy to use, personally i don't enjoy switching characters a lot of times even though that's the only way to deal big numbers in genshin so i just use zhongli for his shield and switch to yoimiya, honestly any character can deal big numbers in genshin if you find the right strategy so you shouldn't worry too much about meta, if you like her design you should pull for her
Got her right after Ayaka's first banner ended then also got Shogun right after Yoimiya's first banner ended too.
Got Ayaka → got Yoimiya → got Shogun, won triple 50/50.
The thing with Yoimiya is, she have the highest NA multiplier among all bow characters.
Her role is a ranged single target dps, and i hate it when a bunch of 🤡 keeps comparing her with Hu Tao and calls Yoimiya as trash...like seriously...ppl have different ways to play and enjoy their game.
I’ve been a yoimiya main since she came out and I absolutely adore her. I use her in an overloaded comp which helps a bit with her lack of aoe, but regardless of that, I really enjoy her simple playstyle. I play on mobile so just mashing her normal attacks is far easier than jump/dash cancelling with someone like hu tao. Between that and not using her burst for dps I just find her to be a really comfy, user friendly character to play. I will never regret pulling for her, she’s my favourite character by far and even though I have other dps characters (raiden/ganyu/hu tao) she will always be my first choice.
I have c3 Yoi and I plan to c6 her if things go well. I love her, and I love using characters that aren't as popular
Back when i first got hutao i thought she is so good. But she is lock with constellation (if you are playing on mobile) its mandatory to get c1. But after i got yoimiya i dont use hutao that much anymore.
It definitely isn’t mandatory to get her c1 even as mobile you just have to practice jump cancelling

@@robotassassin2194 Nah jump cancel is more than just for her stamina. I got her on her last rerun at C0, I'm on console so it's actually hard to jump cancel as well compared to PC but it's like a reflex for me at this point. If you don't jump cancel on her charge attack she moves so much lol. Jump cancel in mobile and console is similar in terms of using a single finger (aka the thumb) to move fast.
@@yaaaan6763 many say that jump cancelling is a viable strategy at c0, but im not sure for how long you are going to live with such a strategy, because I see so many Hu Taos (not only on Reddit but in real life as well) who talk about how running out of stamina is a regular thing of a c0 Hu Tao. I bet half of the c0 Hu Tao community would forgo potentially new characters for c1.
When I first tried her I loved her gameplay but after I keep trying her in events I find myself liking her playstyle less. It's a shame really she's a nice character but not the playstyle for me
i've had some nice to decent shimenawa for months and even got harp from standard on the same day i lost 50/50 on kazuha's banner . so i really hope to get her within time 😔 besides i wanted her for a long time anyways
Yall saying her burst is useless because of Shimenawa... Use Bollide so that you can spam her burst and do vape Aurous Blaze dmg with Xq or Yelan. Using her burst first in a rotation can buff xq's rain sword dmg or Yelan's ult. Bollide also further fortifies her shield making her normal attk chains hard to interrupt
Her contribution during the archon quest never gets enough attention I feel... She literally helped vision holders escape the vision hunt decree by helping them get fake visions to give out
Even tho Yoimiya is outdamaged by HuTao, I still choose Yoimiya over HuTao anyday, because she has simpler game play that's all. She helps me clear Abyss 12 all the time, especially single target bosses
My Yoimiya team is the team I have used the most since she came out. I'm AR 60 with basically my pick of most of the roster but I keep coming back to her. She's a very comfy character to relax and play. I feel like a lot of the Genshin community is so conditioned to look for damage per screenshot that they devalue ease of use.
I have gotten her when she first came out and she’s my precious girl, like seriously she’s so fun, cute, and does great damage! I even pulled yelan JUST for her- I’m thinking of getting her signature for that extra crit dmg and better stats overall but if it turns out to be a bad weapon banner I’ll have to skip and save my primos for the dendro archon
ganyu is not in the meta anymore, IMO. I will not choose a ganyu over yoimiya. and you dont need yelan or bennet or kazuha. i usually just do xinqu, and yoimiya everything dies. else i add a yunjin and we are good. she is my best pyro dps. cause she is just too easy to use and does insane damage. the only time i will use an hutao over her is CRYO hypostasis to one shot it.
The introduction of yujin gave yoimyia some amazing new style, without her she is still really good, but with yujin yoimia can get to hutao level of brokeness and even better in some scenarios.
I don't even use yunjin and my yoimiya does more damage than some 260 CRIT damage hu tao with staff of homa and those sweet 6k attack stat she easily reaches, so yeah.
(R4 rust favonius Bennet 600 EM sucrose and yelan (no elegy)) gets me to easily do more than a million with E.
hutao has yelan+xq AND its leaked that hydro resonance will get a buff so the whole team gets 20% more HP instead of healing
so hutao is getting an even bigger buff

I've already have her and she is well built and she already do a lot of damage. And she is almost triple Crowned and she is meta too me. I will show those that is not going to pull her and when her banner is out ima use her when her banner is gone! OH and btw my Yoimiya is C0 and i have Skyward Harp on her so she is great!

Am interesting thing to consider is how well she scales with attack-speed buffs (which is sparse right now). If we get more characters/weapons/artifacts/resonance in the future to increase attack-speed this could be a game-changer for Yoimiya (and maybe Eula). Since normal attacking is pretty underpowered atm there's a decent chance we'll get something.
shes really good against bosses that move around alot like thunder manifestation and ruin serpent, which are also both on the abyss rn
i instantly fall in love with the character since the 1st banner and use her frequently to carry SA and friendship party with unbuild character
she's really good DPS and not hard to play and build at all
I love Yoimiya, she really help me with the abyss AND still does, especially in this rotation with that annoying serpent
I play mainly on mobile and she's very easy to play. No complicated mechanics to optimize her. Just shield her (Zhongli, Thoma, Diona, etc.), use her with other supports or sub-DPS (preferably Yun Jin, Bennet, Yelan/XQ, Beidou, Fishcl), and your set. You can regularly 36* the Abyss with her various team comps too. She just got better over time with the release of mobile and flying enemies and in the form of characters such as Yelan and Yun Jin
(I typed this before watching the video, so I’ll probably repeat a number of things that he says in the vid ^^;)
I got Yoimiya during her first banner, around AR 45. I was initially let down since she didn’t do big numbers like my friends’ characters, however after way too long I’ve finally given her the artifacts she deserves, an aqua simulacra and a bunch of supports for her team (Zhongli, Bennett, and now Kazuha).
She is by far my favourite character to play: her attack animations are beautiful and *with support* her single target numbers are on par with my ganyu’s. Seriously. She can deal 80-120k per round of attacks. Seeing the health bar drain on big enemies is super satisfying to watch.
The key things to note for Yoimiya is that support is vital. She’s definitely capable at soloing, however she is a squishy character and very much appreciates a shield.
Bennett, Yunjin, Kazuha, Xingqui, and Yelan are all great options for her, because she can either work in a vape or mono pyro team.
She is single target. She can take down a few targets simultaneously but cc characters are simply better at her at dealing with large groups. The issue is less prevalent with kazuha in your team, but for abyss always have Yoimiya going against the big enemies.
As like every character, getting a good build/team for Yoimiya will take time- however I wholeheartedly believe that Yoimiya is one of the most rewarding characters to play

what do you think of her c6? The only thing that prevent me from pulling her c6 is that the extra arrow will mess up the vape on 3 and 5 hit. If not for that, I will have no doubt to pull her c6

Personally, I love her design and playstyle through the limited experience I had with her through test runs, I do think the new banner definitely is great for a newer account though, I’ve had an Asia account since 1.0 that unfortunately lost the 50/50 to QiQi so now with around 60 pity and 30 Faye saved up, I choose to skip Kazuha for her instead (due to already having him or two of my much stronger accounts that both have very meta characters) so very excited indeed for our favorite Firework girl/torchlighter 2.0 to come back.
Her smile brings joy to me and so i need to get her thundering pulse
fun fact:her normal attacks' are made so that with xinque the 3rd and the 5th hit will vape witch are the highest multiplies in her normal attacks
I returned playing genshin because yoimiya back in v2.0, been saving up primos to get her weapon and maybe up to c3 (didn't pull for kazuha, coz yelan, bennet and yunjin are enough supports for me) I really enjoy her gameplay and really just love pyro dps as a whole (got hu tao as dps for my other team)
Really happy that her banner is returning, can't wait to pull for her weapon and const hopefully not losing to 50/50. 🤣
