I got the chance to ask about the finger when I saw three zoo keepers yesterday. When N'Gayla was younger (around 3) her finger was broken. When I asked if there had been a fight or rough play, the answer was 'that here were problems in the group back then and she was a victim of some incident. But the finger (as you can see on the videos) doesn't bother her.
Love all this information about N'Gayla. I wonder what was really going on at the zoo back then. I think her first baby was by her father, is that correct?
Awwww!! Gorillas are SUCH wonderful and caring mommys!! I noticed that her right hand fore finger seems to have been broken at one time and healed back in some awkward position :-( Baby gorillas are wiggle-worms in their own right and are hard enough to hang onto when there's only one, she seems to have her work vug out for her with 2!!! But she's doing great.
I feel so sad for her not being able to relax from worrying so much about someone harming her babies :( she just can't stay long enough still in one position, thinking of keeping them out of harm's way. 😣😔 As a mother, I completely understand her 100% #WhatAnAmazingLovingMomma🥰🤱

She is such an AMAZING mother!! The twinns mother is my favorite mother to watch becuz she has wonderful parenting skills!! Although, I LOVE watching all of them because they are BEAUTIFUL!! I love how she pats her babies and shows them such passionate tender loveing care. I'm wondering if you could tell me Cindy, what age do the babies start to pound on their chests at???? I Absolutely LOVE gorillas and find myself at the zoo sooo many times a year just to see gorilla families, I'm just in love!! THANK YOU for ur beautiful video's..
I guess that she drinks enough. The article only said that the boy drinks more, while the girl was sucking on her fist or her brothers arm IN THE BEGINNING ........ We´ll just have to wait and see.
I can see the one boy at her right side suckles cause she is holding him just right. The Girl on the left is always looking to suckle, but mom is holding her too high on the breast so the nipple is under her and she looks for it but can't find it. I hope she is going to be all-right because it looks like she doesn't suckle at all, not that I have seen. Have any of you seen her drink?
She is a tender, caring mom and protects them very well! She eats some poop there, yes she needs a lot of nutrients breastfeeding two babies! The poop is full of plants and other nutrients, for us the thought is not the nicest but she knows what she is doing there!
They don't have any problem finding the nipples. This is almost 13 minutes filmed during 7 hours ;-) They're fine, they get enough milk. The boy slightly more than the girl I was told. But nothing to worry about.
Out of curiousity, what happened to the mother's finger? The babies are absolutely adorable and what a handful or should say handfuls for the mother. she seems to do well with the two..
Haha Mom is so sweet and funny! Watching her reminded me of pat your head and rub your tummy, it was like she was getting confused then decided to rub one and then pat the other!
Is the girl twin drinking enough? I know the zoo posted an update, and the babies ARE adorable, but this is a pretty delicate situation at the moment. Not sure what will be the point (20 days? 30 days?) when they'll know whether the zoo will have to help her out with bottle feedings (fingers crossed that doesn't happen).
My question is to any animal doctor or veterinarian, why those black gorella's in the wild 🤔always eat their stools??is there something lacking in their diet??.

I don't know what happend to the finger. Next time I'll try to find out. Mom is doing great with her kids. She's a great mom.

They already knew from day 2 that it's a boy and a girl. Mom showed it several times. I was able to see it myself on Friday.
