    Great video. Glad you brought this club to my attention. Great to see them doing cpsa events. Bit of a trip from Essex.but will definitely try and make some visits in the new year.

    Thank you for sharing your experience.. I can relate to it as I shot my first registered match this past summer. I was not even classified so I signed up in Hunter class which is for non classified shooters.. I broke 68 clays out of 100.. I was hooked on the game.

    I see Robert is shooting a Remington Auto is that because they are so comfortably to shoot? Good show.

    I have only been twice to Blyton. Both visits in December 2023. I will be returning when I can. Great venue.

    Great video.anyone shooting a registered shoot must know the rules,so i don't understand all the waffle about filming it.good on you for promoting our sport👍👍👍

    I didn’t think you were allowed to film CPSA registered shoots? I was told to remove my shotkam when I did mine!

      As per previous comments, I was given permission to film and promote the event via the ground owner.

      @@roymartingunsmiths814I don't think anyone is meaning to have a go at you mate, absolutely support you filming and promoting the sport and I'm a big fan of your videos, it's just the fact that the CPSA rules state no recording devices on guns for their comps - 95% of other shooters wouldn't care either way and to be fair, a lot of refs probably won't either - but it's something to be aware of as it only takes the 'wrong' person to spot it and you could be DQ'd and lose your score if they wanted to apply the rules to the letter. Most grounds, refs and other shooters in my experience will allow a bit of leeway - for example the rules state no coaching during registered shoots, but when I've had a really shit stand I've been given advice by shooters and even by the ref, so it's uncommon that you'll come up against any real ball breakers... It's just something to keep in mind (imagine you shot a personal best, then get the score cancelled because someone dobbed you in for breaking the rule, it's unlikely but not impossible unfortunately)

    Well shot Ed. Seeing a few regular names' scores on the list, it clearly wasn't an easy shoot. Your first registered can be a wake up call, to a lot of shooters. The targets are generally quite a bit more testing, than a lot of club shoots. The setters generally set enough to please an average shooter but then test all classes with steadily more testing targets too. As a note for others, I take it you got Shotkam permission, as they aren't normally allowed.

      Because we were filming content for TH-cam to promote the ground and that we were sponsoring the event the ground owner allowed it for that purpose

      @@roymartingunsmiths814 All very well, but under CPSA rules no cameras (Shotkam) or recording devices are allowed when you enter a registered shoot. Shooting it "un-registered" is another matter

      @@howhistory5877you are aware we are trying to promote the sport and getting more people into shooting registered comps? That’s what the video is for …. Promoting our sport and trying to get new people into it. Isn’t that more important especially when I have permission

    • @AdamsClayPigeonGuide
      @AdamsClayPigeonGuide 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The reason for my comment, was to make others aware that it isn't normally permitted. TGS also had permission on a video recently.@howhistory5877

      @@roymartingunsmiths814 I am just stating the rules as laid out by the CPSA and getting "permission" from the ground owner is not a valid excuse. By all means promote shooting (and cartridges) in as many ways you can, but stick to the rules, after all, it was your first registered. There is nothing stopping you getting filmed as far as i am aware. There are already loads of videos with that sort of content. As an aside i have been shooting around 50 years. Have a good new year's shooting.
