That segment with the Chef was over the top! I have watched a ton of videos where the Asian chefs would remove the skin. Always wondered why they did that, now I know. Just a fabulous video all around. It would have been neat to capture that Cubera trip on a proper video. You guys really worked hard to get on those fish.
Awesome video Nick, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed the chef's breaking down the lobster and the expertise displayed in all the dishes he prepared both with the Fish and the lobster. Great job!!
What a great video, Nick. I truly enjoyed watching the “behind the scenes” process. You and Bama Saltwater have, in my own opinion, the best fishing channels by far. If you’re not subscribed to him, please do. Let’s get him to a million. Oh, and let’s get you to a billion. 😊
Papa Joe’s is my favorite lunch spot, dogs are not only allowed but welcomed. The turf with cornhole is a fun place to burn some energy and time before or after a meal. Good space to tie up. And there’s even some real grass by the launch ramp so my dog can use the bathroom before we get back on the water. Oh, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced!
Great video Stanzfam! Love the chef cook. He took that lobster apart like my family always does here in Nova Scotia & PEI. We always eat the legs & bodies & make broth out of the shells. Congrats on selling the boat. Thanks for sharing!!!
This man is a very cool man, i learn a lot from him and if I had that money on hand that 28' Freeman will be in Barbados today, its nice clean and well taken care of..
Cant wait to see your next boat! I am sure it's coming down the pipeleine quickly. Just wish I was 20 years younger and richer so I could have a rig like that 28 Freeman!
Great video I love Cubera taste so good also I would love to catch one one day I wanna get a big one make me a skull mount I think they are beautiful and so neat. I'm glad y'all were able to find them this year took a lot of time and lots of money but y'all did it congrats one of my favorite fish just a beast of a fish. Thanks Nick 😊
Cubera is one of those bucket list fish I would like to spear. I don't see them here in Myrtle Beach. Guess I need to spear fish in the Keys. Great video.
You gotta take the show on the road and come up here to the Northeast and do some Striped Bass fishing. We are just starting the fall run, and for the first two weeks maybe three it is all XL Stripers. 30 - 50 pounds, with some up to 60. It would make for great content and would love to see it!
WOW! We get 10-15lb lobsters diving out of Wilmington NC. Now I want to go get one and try all this!!! Definitely missed out on all that extra lobster!
Ugh, hate to hear you struggled with boat payments even with a trust fund. Good for all of us to know though, don’t buy what you can’t afford. Thanks 🙏🏻
13 bugs with 10 caught? Dude thats crazy, and I'm typing this as Vic just said it hahaha. I've never made it down to Bud n Mary's yet but I'm trying to plan a trip down from Sarasota soon! What does the bite look like around Jan-Feb down there?
Thanks for watching! Our charter business focuses mostly on swordfish but if not wanting to gamble on them a lot of boats fish the reef for sailfish, mackerel, snapper, wahoo, etc
Nick how far out does the broad minded book out? Currently thinking about coming down mid July 25 and wondering when I’d need to get booked if we wanted to go out.
What'd did you use to cut through the spine? I often give my buddy (he gets sea sick in a bathtub) snapper heads when I catch big red snapper (30"+) and its always a hassle to cut through the spine on those big fish.
I chopped at it with the knife a little to weaken it and then just pulled up on it to break it. A big sharp knife definitely helps, cause they ain't easy to get through as you know.
Hey nick huge fan. Learn a lot from your videos and apply it here in st Augustine Florida. Have you heard about this Ban on bottom fishing in 2025? For all commercial and recreational and charters? If so what’s your thoughts? Also waiting on you to get more of the blue and white camoish print in stock XL for me and small for the wife and small in kids and xs for our youngest daughter. I got a 100$ gift card for your store for using HH insurance.
Thanks for watching. I haven't heard too much about the bottom fishing ban. I've seen a couple things here and there the past year or two but not with much detail. Hope the swap to HH Insurance saved you a few bucks! We don't have any plans to re order our Swordfish Camo Patterns, but we have our new Tarpon Camo Patterns. Check those out and see if they'll work.
@@StanzFamreally hope they don’t pass it. It’ll kill my dream and goal of getting my captains license next year. Planning a trip down to the keys next year will for sure stop by and meet you and the crew. Y’all are awesome. And full of knowledge
For years Freeman’s sold for more than msrp with the long wait time. The used market has slowed down across the board but wanted to sell while it was still worth good money
@@boostedctr5173 I can get you a brand new one in a reasonable amount of time or there are a couple used ones I can send you the listings on. Just let me know!

Just got the boat and it's sold already. What a life constantly upgrading.
It’s a business at the end of the day. Gotta sell it before he takes too much of a loss on it.

Thanks! He did a great job cooking for share
Thank you Nick for this complex cooking lesson.
My pleasure! Alan did a great job!
Finally someone who doesn't waste the rest of the lobster. People need to take notes on how to utilize the entire fish/animal
It was cool to see the process 🙏🏻

Thanks! We had a lot of fun with it
Good to see that I have been cooking right, but how could you forget the camera ? You may have to change your shirts to Stanz cooking. 😊

Question. When getting lobster for bait, is there a size limit for them? I would presume yes, cause you are technically still keeping them
Yep, need to be the minimum legal size to keep
👍🏽👍🏽

Awesome boat are you planning to get another boat that is a hybrid
Hoping so! Just gotta get through the next few months

@@StanzFam Gotcha. I found some weird hatchet/knife thing that works great to put on the bone, then hit said hatchet with rubber mallet.
That’s a lot of boat for a F-150. How does the truck handle it?
It did ok for around town. If hauling long distances a bigger truck would definitely be better

Who is a good charter I can catch these fish on ?
Broad Minded if wanting to go on a 42’ Freeman. Or there are plenty of other options at Bud n’ Mary’s Marina
How deep do u get cuberas?
175-200 on average
What happened to bean?
He’s still in town. Has his own TH-cam channel and charter business
This comment made me laugh
Jamaica Mike is bk
🙌🏻
Where’s Jamaican Mike !
He’s still in town, we just live further apart and I don’t fish as much as I used to. We will shoot another video together soon (hopefully)
Question? Why is it that you sell your boat all the time.? Are they not good enough or?

What are you getting next

I have been trying to slow down, I'll keep working on it
