They do the same thing here at the inlets in South Jersey. They keep anything and everything. They've even been caught poaching diamondback terrapins in the middle of the night.
Good stuff here. My father in law were fishing that same creek a few weeks ago, not much in that hole at the time, but we did well up above the bridge. Also, saw someone get busted by the Fish Commission who had apparently kept three fish, took them to their van, and came back down and tried to keep another.
You Sir are a man of integrity and patience. The more I watched the more upset I got with those poachers. We have them here by the truckload. Taking shorts or whatever they can hook. They take them to their restaurant and charge unsuspecting patrons illegally poached fish. Probably not even the fish which they ordered. There still an honor in real fishermen around here & I know some why will even throw these poachers’ fish back. I try to help by keeping them preoccupied talking to them. BTW most do speak(sort of) English and understand everything you say. They like to play dumb.
Should have seen the white guys from ny and jersey dumped 40 totes in front of the coastguard they paid a 1300 dollar fine and no loss of license, totally bullshit and a charter boat to boot
Happens in the UK too, certain groups combing beaches on an industrial scale to supply dodgy resturaunts, taking undersized crabs, fish etc poaching rivers and public spaces for profit.
I hope the game warden made it in time... I would have absolutely LOST MY MIND seeing that dude littering in the end. I would have ended up in trouble at that point.
NO ONE is talking about the sheer amount of illegal fishing being done by the foreign invaders. All summer, wherever I went to paddle board or even lake beaches to swim, I saw people fishing that I knew damn well didn't have a license. EVERYWHERE. And when I started fishing, I saw even more using nets and weird setups on their lines (I guess it was snagging) to catch whatever. This is seriously hurting the fish population as they don't care what size and breed or how many they're allowed to take and I never see any rangers doing jack shit about it!!
I’m a foreigner. What are you saying? Let’s make this straight! White man kills everything for a hard on. Then the resources gets scarce. Then white man becomes world police on conservation. That’s facts! Watch how you choose your words. I am very much against poachers. But you using “foreign Invaders” proves who you are.
I just seen a documentary on the mushroom season. I had no idea. It is the same way in Montana with during the elk antler shed season. People lose their mind! Thanks for the comment.

That’s the way it is lately. About 80% snagging and flossing and 20% legit in my waters. It’s sad. This is strictly talking about bank fish man during the salmon run.
I had a guy do this to me at the creek here a few weeks ago. He came up stood on the hill above me and said, "do you mind if I cast OVER you"... Yes OVER the top of me!!!! I made it a point to let him know as I was packing up how angry I was, and if I ever seen that little purple car pull up next to me fishing a spot ever again he would not drive out of there...

@henrythepoker no. I'm saying it's pointless to complain about the way another man harvest food for his family. When you are the man fishing for sport.
12:54 this guy was obviously snagging. If you’re fly fishing you don’t put a million weights on your line and then pull like he is. He was waiting for the fish to swim then he would pull. 20:20 I guarantee you he snagged that first one, put the hook in the mouth and then took the picture. People do all the time in Wisconsin. These shallow rivers/ creeks need more patrol and it’s ridiculous the point it’s at right now. Last time I saw DNR they didn’t even ask to see my license.
Bro you need a solid fishing partner that has your back. If not, everyone around the world seems to magically speak Smith & Wesson when you break it out.
This is a cultural conflict that has no easy solution. Many Asian immigrants see fishing as just a means of collecting food by any means, and not a sport, so when they come to the US, they will not submit to restrictions of any kind, even if it means collecting fish illegally, with no limit on the count either. They will continue to do that until stopped somehow. They deplete the fish population, something that truly angers sport fishermen. It's truly frustrating to sport fishermen who follow the law. Those who aren't recent immigrants are just flagrantly violating the law and they are really rude, walking across other's lines. No sense of politeness.
Fishing here in Ontario about a month ago on the Nith river. Three guys jump in water where I'm fishing, with nets . Never seen anything like it in my life. Then about 8 more, I'm assuming family came along with buckets full of multi species. Told them what they were doing was illegal, but of course..." no speak english" .
You are a better man than I. I would have lost my shit when they first tried to walk through the hole. And especially when I realized what they were doing.
Yes Warden, You will see them at their car trying to figure out how they got 4 flat tires? No Sir Warden, I have no idea how they got bullet holes in their windshields and engine block? But I do have an idea how they got the 10 Steelhead in the back of their vehicle. I have video of the violations. Yes Sir I'll send it to you. Have a great day Warden.

My brother was telling me about a month ago, that he was fishing at one of our local lakes here in Ohio, and witnessed foreigners cast netting, and keeping game fish (which is completely illegal). He called, but by the time the game warden showed up, they were gone. They were keeping undersized largemouth bass, crappies, and anything else that they caught in their net.
Nice job brother. I’ve had mixed results back in my home state. People would snag hold over stripers that would school up. People would snag them, mostly short fish too. In the spring, they’d net river herring and use it for bait. Also a big no no. Most of the time, you’d call the tip line, and no one would show. Finally, I had a really good, young warden. Full of piss and vinegar. He gave me his actual cell phone number. Whenever I reached out, he would come in 30 minutes or less. He also set up a sting operation. It lead to multiple arrests, confiscated gear and towed / impounded vehicles.
To a “mostly” abiding citizen, “You know it’s against the law to clean your fish before coming back to dock and report” in the same breath, “move along snagger, this doesn’t concern you!”
A Vietnamese coworker who loved to fish told me that rules were for white people. He would never throw anything back no matter what size. He was saying it to be funny but was completely serious.
Chinese people do the same thing in Cove behind my house. Everything goes in a bucket... and they leave line with hooks and bait still attached to it in the bushes....
Abalone on the north coast of Northern California from San Francisco Bay to the Oregon state line has been completely banned back in 2015. The large majority of the poachers were Asians. I have been diving for abalone in the ocean since I was a kid, during the 1960's. It is a good thing that it is now banned. Perhaps the species will have a chance to survive.

We have had the same issues over the past several months here in south central Missouri. Illegal spear fishing and snagging, keeping when not within size limit and overtaking on limits. Missouri Dept of Conservation agents have intervened, mostly tickets...non-citizens. The damage is already done!
We have a similar problem here in Seattle wa. Especially on the Spokane street bridge. There's about 14 of these guys and they have two scouts listening to scanners so they know when the game warden is coming. We need to band together and make this problem go the fuck away 💯

I can't imagine breaking a game law outside of the USA and not dealing with severe consequences. Yet here in America, a goon gets an ignorance pass. For me, our fish and game resources in this country are not valued nearly enough.
This is a tough situation to be in! It's frustrating to see people blatantly disregarding fishing regulations and ethics. I appreciate you standing up for what's right and reporting them to the Fish and Wildlife Commission. It's important to protect our fisheries and ensure that everyone has a fair chance to enjoy the sport. I'm curious, have you encountered similar situations while fishing? It's always a good reminder to be aware of the regulations and to report any illegal activity we witness. Hopefully, this serves as a lesson to those individuals and helps to prevent similar incidents in the future.
I had this large pond I fished as a kid in upstate NY that was such an amazing fishing hole. Had bass, carp, bluegill, perch and even sometimes after a flood pike would get stuck in it. The Susquehanna River was 50 feet from it. Anyways 1980’s amazing fishing and no one ever kept anything from it. Was a gravel pit and the water was toxic. Town tried to build a park there many times but land kept failing tests so basically wasn’t safe for people to even have a park at. Anyways fast forward to mid 00’s and during the winter of all months these Chinese fisherman would be on the ice and taking anything that bit. I would bring my son to ice skate and practice hockey there sometimes and since I grew up there would go talk to them. I would see they would have buckets with tiny bluegills and really small bass. They turned that great fishing spot into a place you can’t find fish in anymore. After a few years of this they totally cleaned it out. I can’t imagine how unsafe those fish are to eat. You can see rusty barrels and tires at the bottom of the lake. I guess they just don’t care about how unsafe the fish are. It’s free food I guess. I mean what do you do with a tiny bluegill? Fry it whole and eat it? That quarry was the best place as a kid for so many reasons. Loved those long summer days fishing, building forts and doing so many other things.
Same thing happened to a pond near my house. The owner was a military friend of my dad and we would get 2 dozen shiners on friday or saturday night and have a blast. Property was sold a number of years later and when i got back into fishing and looking for local haunts for my friends kids I asked the new owners if we could have permission to fish. It was a swift NO. I told them I completely understand, then i got the back story. Apparently after the property was acquired by them, a few people from the nearby development were coming in at night and taking all the bass out of the pond to eat. He had it electro surveyed when they got the property and shortly after he found out about this problem and the bass population was reduced to 15% of what it was. So yeah, shit happens all the time all over the country and no one can really do much about it but hope and wait.
We had a similar problem at our pick your own farm. They go in to the sweet corn and stuff themselves. At checkout one of them would buy a single ear of corn. Lost so much money because they came back. We stopped the pick your own because of it. We also caught people stealing the other product. The mom and kid would go pick a small bag of fruit and the father would stuff the trunk of the car with produce. Caught them too. But we lost a lot of produce to people doing this. Mostly foreigners doing it
@beebob1279 I think its called a lack of common decency and a lack of a moral compass, always the same when foreigners invade a country🤬🤬 The great city of London in the UK now has a white population of just over 35%🤬 you wouldn't recognize the east end of london any more, it's no surprise that it's called Londonistan by many.

I realize that the last guy in the river wasn't oriental, but he was still foreign . Problem is that they do here what they used to do in their own country. Something must be done with this issue
I'm right there with you buddy. Been there far to many time and FWC in Florida Almost never busts foreigners with buckets full of illegal fish. As a local they'd throw the book at me. Different rules for different folks.
I have seen this for decades. Steelhead fishing isn't a grocery store it's a sport. Catch and release now! Especially since PA is reducing stocking by 20%.
This shit happens all over the country, and it's not just foreigners. I've seen many locals doing the same thing. We would tell them it's illegal as if they didn't know, then start using our phones to get videos, including their license plates. And, of course, calling the game department. The foreigners would usually get the message and give up, but the locals felt entitled and even hinted at retribution. It's pathetic, but it's almost expected from a certain type of low mentality. The same idiots that complain about the lack of fish are the people cheating.

There bad around here went to Morinville pond just to kill some time a guy had a bucket full of like 4 and 5 inch little trout my buddy "accidentally" knocked it into the water
I wouldn’t be having a bad day with that pod of steel in front of me, but I’m glad you called on those rippers
No respect for anyone or anything. I was fuming just watching this video and well done for keeping your head. Similar situation here in the UK. Many Eastern Europeans who to be fair stick to the rules but a few who take fish for no reason at all by any means. Always claim language barrier or “don’t understand “.
Karen?😅😅😅
great job man, You kept your cool way more than I would have. I live in buffalo and fish all the tribs around here and never have seen this. I definitely would have fought him lmao.
Seen some at Burt and oak I think it’s just places like that and Erie where most of the riff raff goes
@@Chris-pl7tpBorder Tzar Kuntmala's finest
I live in Lackawanna man. I’ve actually seen it at tift farms, the Arabs overfish the shit out of that place
@@Chris-pl7tp at least there is some Fish Commission presence at Burt. I see people get fined for snagging every year I go up.
I like your style
Next time call the Police, they will come and hold them till the Game Wardens arrive.
Trust me they wont even respond. This is the least of concern for local police😂
@@rustbeltwilds837 Thats your proof? trust me bro? are you in Russia currently, tell the truth bro.
One of the main reasons i dont fish erie steelhead no more
No i myself have called on these type of people in the past only to get no response and put me and my young son in a no too cool situation on elk creek si thats my proof
@@rustbeltwilds837 Ive called them myself and had 3 persons arrested for poaching, its a crime and they will come, I had one arrested for baiting doves, the police came, also I just called erie police department and they said YES they will respond to Wildlife crimes in progress.
What is exactly snagging? I don't fish much currently, but looking fwd to get more into...
Thank you for commenting. Snagging is when a person does not use bait but rather uses large hooks and weights and they try to “snag” the fish in the body or tail. While legal in some states, it is highly illegal here. Best wishes.
@PAWildlife oh ok. Thanks for explaining. And with minimal experience....I would say that's kind of lame as well
Absolutely sickening ! Good on you for calling the authorities and having the patience you did, it would be tough… And the end to watch him throw his trash on the ground, unbelievable. People like this shouldn’t be allowed to have a license or be outdoors for that matter !
those goons dont have a fishing license
In California it’s enshrined in our state constitution.
@@jimfinch4706actually it's not. It says those waterways managed by the state, but now all internal waterways are in a 'shared management' status such that all responsibilities fall upon different entities. It's essentially a lot of legalese, but basically they have shirked any responsibility for any of the disasters they create. It is now the domain of agencies, boards, administrations, companies, and corporations. Gotta love California. Also demonstrates Commiefornia in all it's grandeur. So, since the State of California no longer "manages" those waters you refered to.........
@ have you ever read the state of California constitution.
yea i live on a huge steel head river and every year there snaggers with 100lb test line huge treble hooks and they take up to 20 fish per person its sad wreaks it for rest
Bullshit
@@duckwacker8720 I'm not bullshitting dude ever year it happens and there treble hooks are like something from a huge Muskie lure its stupid as fuck and there line like braded maybe not 100lb test but at least 50lbs i cant break it lol
LOL 100lb test! 😂
20 fish? Is that legal? It's disgusting
@@jameschapman7996 It goes on all over the country. If you don't live there or fish the rivers you won't see it. I saw it in New York years back. It's horrible
Wow just watched the video I got so pissed off I got off the couch and cleaned my house, I’d be in jail if that happened to me good job keeping your cool I couldn’t have done it, they would never fished again either ✌🏻
Buddy. You have a dirty house because your wife doesn't keep it clean. Get her in line before you get a stranger in line for feeding himself and his family
Haha
what set up are you using brother?
I bought this combo at Sportsman's for $74. Its the Wildseries Steelhead combo. Very nice for the money. Thanks for commenting.
