I feel like if they're going to implement these themed cups they got to outright ban certain decks that don't use their extra deck for anything other than fuel for pots of prosperity and extravagance otherwise it kinda defeats the purpose because we all know which decks will be making it to the top.

Zombie world synchro deck with rivalry is what ive been playing. Cant wait for the synchro event
I’ve been playing it too, such a sweet deck. You have to work for your wins, but there’s rarely ever a game where you straight up can’t win.
Bujin is a pretty solid option and it’s been pretty cheap, a lot of people forget about their new support
I never fogot, just hate Bujin SO much
Keep in mind that Lunalights are one of the strongest rank 4 engines in the game and they are way more powerful in MD than in tcg due to 3 tiger 3 tenki.
They can run the utopia extra deck and the Sages while allowing you to not get ashed on the terrible onomat cards. Way more budget and includes cards that are used in other decks instead of forcing you to open tons of onomat packs to get utopic onomatopia and onomatopaira.
can you share the deck list? i'm new into this and still saving up crystal to avoid unnecessary spending on wrong deck
@@FavouriteVid Sir Emanon has great deck list (and tutorial) for Lunalight and its variant. We only need 3SR for specific Lunalight cards, 6 or 9 SR if we count Tenki and Foolish Burial Goods.

@@NCB_V Check out Sir Emanons Lunalight Tribrigade videos. Cut all the tribrigade stuff and replace it with the ZS sages, RUM utopiforce, pegasus dualsaber, Double or nothing.
You can run Astraltopia but that card can only be obtained by buying the structure deck. For the normal build you only need 1 copy of the structure deck to get the utopia and ultimate leo ray at a cheaper price, extra copies would be only for astraltopias and the UR search spell that isn't too amazing.
Extra deck is utopia, utopia double, utopic sage, utopia dragonar, utopia prime or utopia ray, Ultimate leo ray, hope harbinger, UFD package.
Fill up rest with good rank 4 staples you have.
Gallant Granite can search nibiru which will be powerful in XYZ only format.
If you are feeling cute or just hate eldlich you can put 1 heart earth dragon to summon off dragonar during their end phase its only a N rare so can be a replacement.
If we could run a stun deck, this could be a problem for the cups because eldlich would be everywhere in the deck

personally i'm packing 3 lighting storm and 1 harpie's feather duster for them

@@theodorun9965 All they need is a floodgate, even if they only have two sets as long as they have solemn and skill drain/gozen/Vanity's you can't break their board with combo decks.
I hope they ban eldlich for this event, i don’t want a no brainer event with just fighting trap card...

Pk Fire is a decent choice, I'm playing it as my main deck but with some Link monster. However, the deck can still run well with Xyz only
Zoo birds sounds pretty strong too (no tribrigate)
Crooked Cook Exodia seems like it could be a dark horse in this event unfortunately.

Dragonar memes can get pretty hilarious in this format because Rhongo Bongo is free, dealing with a 4-mat one going second is absolutely miserable.
Might start running the most nostalgic XYZ deck I remember, being Heraldics from Zexal 😂. If I recall, they're XYZ work well against other ones? I'll have to look into it lol!

There's a list of bootleg decks that can be run with only N and R cards on Reddit, could pick some of these for the event at worst
Galaxy-Eyes is probably the underrated deck for the xyz festival because not a lot of people know that they can xyz summon rank 8 monsters.
It can easily OTK aswell plus has negates with blast Dragon, photon Lord and Tachyon transmigration.

I’m going to play burning abyss and I’m going to try and build lyricis birds maybe with Icarus attack. Think both will work!
I'm going to try Pure Lyrilusc for this event. I've seen some level of success with it in Ranked and I do believe that the end board UDF + Ensemblue is strong against a lot of the decks in the format, with a 6 mat Nightingale for the draw getting through a lot of boards. That said, I expect to get dunked on by Skill Drain Eldlich and True Draco unless they're hit on the ban list in some capacity.
I already have Paleo Frog built as one of my decks so I’ll go in with that hoping we get more than one toad though if they do a custom banlist! Storming mirror force best mirror force!!!
For pure xyz I built lyric/ level 1 dot deck. Can end on a monster negate plus monster bounce going first with 2 card follow up or going second otk or zeus with 4-6 materials. Might mix zoo into the deck for drident and because I don't have any good normal summons.
I'm waiting too and I've also advised my friends to wait and see. I recommend an anti variant. However, as you mentioned, Flying C also Dimensional Barrier is very effective. I hope the event list allows for a lot of variety and hits tier 0 decks hard. I have absolutely no desire to play Xyz Encore just to counter Rhongo. I'm really looking forward to the event :D.
Eldlich and Drytron will be the best 2 decks because essentially nothing needs to change for them.
Drytron won’t be able to send Herald off of Diviner, which could be a damper in their consistency
@@lucariopulse333 -1 search means nothing when they have 3 benten. all you need is fafnir and beatrice which are both xyzs

I think a virtual world deck might work as a rank 3 & 6 engine just the end board might be photon strike bouncer instead of vfd.

I just got to plat with my utopia deck today, so i know what i'll be playing, a bit different from your list tho; the rock xyz to get nibiru is a nice idea but don't have the space, this deck has such a cramped extra deck.
Cen you recommend me any link to the best utopia deck(in you opinion) ?

Dimensional Barrier in a Lair of Darkness Deck might be fun to play.
I'm glad these events have heavy ban list like this. There was an event in duel links called carnival that tried to implement fun stuff like this but everyone just spammed meta decks which ruined the match up fun.
I hope they implement a new banlist for the event. Or maybe narrow down the option into a single card pool, where people can only use cards from that selection pack. Will be cool if everyone will be given prebuild rental deck that is not strong but not too weak either and can only use in event duel so everyone can enjoy the event.
I love your channel very informational. Just need a help a Lil I have about 15k gems I played DM deck f2p stuck at gold 1. Haven't played in 20 years it was simple deck to get used to New yugioh I saw some videos about dino decks looks good maybe I build one but. Just need a advice on that deck is it worth it what would you recommend for a top tier deck that I can play competitive I can go all ur no promles
I’m so running my shark deck for this. I don’t even have to make any changes to it.
Keep in mind that Drytron can still exist here, albeit without Diviner searches but that can be replaced with Manju and more Ritual Monster searching Spell Cards. That's going to be a pain to deal with, especially if you can't interrupt their combo. Main 3 Droplets is the best advice I can give ngl.

Problem with these events is that there's always a ton of bad actors.
Yosenjus are a surprise rogue deck for this event.

I'm just gonna play my earth machines. Take away my link support pieces and use a little more of the machina stuff in prep for dimensional barrier.
There should be a couple more rules implemented because burn, eldlich will win. Should be like xyz based decks like the ones you shown
Is D barrier leagal? Because d barrier + emptiness is pretty much playing 4 emptiness

Not unless there's a special event-only ban list that will prevent that from happening. I'm gonna save on my crafting materials until there's more info.
Eldlich or Skill Drain whatever isn't that big an issue. Probably will get hit when event banlist drops.
But the banlist better clarify the "Elephant in the Room" ---> Dimensional Barrier

basically any deck of the top meta has a problematic card that we should ban. Looking at you, triple benten, VFD and so on
Pure machina is a good option aswell. You can make the extradeck black only.

@@Lithium2300 yeah, earth machine definetly need infinitrack goliath. But the pure machina works fine with only xyz monsters. Got me into from the lower ranks into platinum.

All you have to cut is like 2-3 link monsters and you’ve got the full deck still, it’s crazy

Your forgot the most important archetype when its the XYZ summon. Its not that cheap but definetly strong and that will be Galaxy Eyes. I played them to Plat 5 regularly.
Its decent, bur fragile and little less consistent 😩
