  • Working in England, at the same time as Daguerre, William Henry Fox Talbot is best known for the invention of the negative/positive photographic process that became the standard way of making photographs in the 19th and 20th centuries. His early processes of the photogenic drawing, salted paper print and calotype negative are demonstrated in this chapter.
Correction (1:13) : Talbot was a member of the House of Commons.
This project is made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, grant number MA-10-13-0194.

New generation can't find a series already uploaded on the same channel? Weak generation.

I would like to ask a question: were originally calotypes a D.O.P. process and only later outpaced by P.O.P. salt prints beacuse cheaper?

Stop uploading the same series over and over again.

How about you make your own series - and make it free the same way the Eastman folks do? That way, you'll be able to stop complaining about how you keep watching the same series over and over again. I'm sure you have the resources and ability to surpass what the Eastman Museum has come up with. You're welcome! :)
