Anyone agree that these two are the epitome of chaotic good? Because that’s the vibes I’m getting from them. On a more feline note, hearing Joob purr was gorgeous. A beautiful floofy black cat (my favourite, I love black cats) with the cutest purrs.
Absolutely loving the fact that these two practice the PEAK level of safety in their videos!! THANK YOU, GUYS. It's a very very important practice and I'm glad you guys are being good role models by demonstrating that.

Oh I am so happy! I have wanted to see the “ham call” ever since you mentioned it on a stream or podcast a few months ago. I know last week I said that the toast coaster video was one of the best, but this just blows it out of the water. Wholesome, funny, adorable. Especially the ads. I love this whole video. Not just the clever making of a great big thing, but the obvious affection between all three of you. I've watched your other cat-making videos, but notice you've not made a cat-wall or climbing tree and knowing how much my cats love to climb, and to sit on high places to watch the world go by, I'm surprised the Supurrvisor hasn't instructed you to build something like this for her. @@balvo9018 They *could,* but selling it would be the better option. The wheel looks pretty well made, so it would definitely prove its use for another owner whose cat/small dog would benefit from it.
Besides, Joob seems to be adapting to the wheel pretty quickly, so I don't think it's gonna be either one of those options anytime soon.

Skate style wheels would make a big difference in terms of sound and spin resistance.

could also experiment with cruiser skate wheels for stability
Had a wheel break on our One Fast Cat. Replaced that side's wheels with skate wheels on all thread. Not near as good as Adam's fix, but it does sound quieter.
Now to try the sticky carpet squares. One of our cats, who doesn't use the wheel, has been clawing up the old foam pads.
I couldn’t agree more! The skate board wheels have much better bearings which would drop the rolling resistance substantially.
Would also lower the sound level as well.
I spend almost the whole video wondering if they'd seen Adams improvements and hoping they'd do something similar for their design. Then I saw the cheap castor wheels...
At 7:17 a tip is if u use 409 and put it on ur finger or ur paper towel and cleans up the epoxy very nicely and clean

Make a feeder on a stand that suspends the treat just high enough that the cat has to shift its weight on the wheel to access the treat, causing the wheel to turn. Then when you walk away, the cat can no longer anticipate that you will just give them the treat. The cat will then do what it takes to get the treat by its own agency.

As an aside, an oversized dovetailed rail running along the Centreline of the base with a rail on the wheel that locks in. You could just use strips of polished lead flashing as a bearing surface where the dovetail meets the rail. Sorta like a rollercoaster, where the wheels lock under.

Garf Stiglz Adam savage rebuilt one of these and that is what he did because they are wheels with roller bearings. He also added side wheels to keep it centered. The bearing wheels squeak less also.

We call chicken “cheeekón” for my dogs so they don’t bother us when we’re talking about chicken for us humans lol

Don’t use casters, use longboard wheels. They have better bearings and some tend to be made of a softer material.
