I can totally relate to the Cursor comment. I'm used to typing "code ." from the terminal so i do still open vscode by accident, only to close it right away to open cursor haha
I agree un Cursor, it works pretty well, they have great RAG so asking questions about the whole codebase actually works and give meaningful answers, Copilot is getting left behind
I was expecting a lot more adoption in regards to RSC, and I thought Cursos was going to be just hype haha but a lot of people (myself included) ended up adopting it quite fast. Also taking this time for a thank you note: After I noticed you guys on TH-cam I treated myself to a premium subscription. I’m not super active on social media, so your podcast has been a lifesaver for keeping up with news and trends. Can’t wait to see what new stuff and formats you’ve got coming!
There is a "premium" plan coming with long video uploads and profile customizations. Not saying it will work and be sustainable but that will def bring in something.
@ Millions of people use it! It took off a long time ago. It hasn’t “taken off” in a marketing sense *because* there’s no algorithm to force content on people. People are the algorithm. You talked about self-hosting, hacking, APIs, etc-it’s all been there for years already. Rather than wait for it to be what you want it to be, make it a community now.

1:02:00 I think you can give yourself one more point for all the work IBM / RedHat has been up to.
18:30 bluesky doesnt make any money, so I doubt its sustainable. As soon as they have to make money I doubt it will be as good.

All that talk of Bluesky, like Mastodon and other federated platforms don’t exist? Ehhh…
Do you really see mastadon taking off?
