In the early 90's, the US government collected Levi's blue jeans, chopped them down, and used the threads to help make new currency textiles. If you look closely, there are very tiny blue fibers throughout each bill. That isn't an accident.
I remember many years ago my mother would feel the paper of the bills to make sure they were real. She was once a bank teller & was trained to do that.

It doesn't really work with old money because they keep changing it, maybe since the time that bill was made they changed the color of which color it turns into. And why would they post a video to teach someone how to do something then have it be fake?

Yep, 75% cotton, 25% linen. The same as is used for lots of high-end reume paper, since it is durable, waterproof, and fancy-feeling
