In BF4, each of the 4 major DLC packs for Battlefield Premium had: 4 new maps, 1 new vehicle, 5 new weapons and 2 new gadgets. The extended post launch support for BF4 saw Night Operations and Operation Outbreak that launched for free for all players. This should be the standard for the next Battlefield game, giving all players access to new maps, weapons, vehicles and gadgets for free has allowed DICE the excuse to become sloppy and slow at providing content. Bring back Battlefield Premium, not use Premium as a token to unlock content in the Battle Pass.

The old devs created 1 map per month. The new devs creates 1 map in 4 months. That’s a huge problem. Might be due to skeleton crew. But I agree, they need to bring back premium.
Don't forget that EA/DICE had no problem selling premium/dlc less than a month after BF4's broken disaster of a launch. Also, after the initial couple of weeks it became difficult to even find games on the new maps because the prevailing mindset in the community back then was we shouldn't have to pay for more maps and guns and DICE/EA were simply being greedy by nickel and diming the fans for content. The amount of posts back then from players saying "I remember when you bought the game once and got the whole game."

Yes I agree. I actually hated Redacted at first as I was never really a fan of Close Quarter Maps/Combat, but once I decided to try and change my play style and go aggressive, I fell in love with it.
I had to slog thru 5 of the horrible maps one night just to back out and finally load up to a half finished game of redacted 😢. The whole next hour slogged thru horrible map after horrible map sometimes playing the same map back to back. I was pissed.

42 years old and played through the peak battlefield years during bf3 and bf4. Friggin amazing years with premium instead of minimum-viable-product live service. Server browser. Platoons. Battlelog. Deep class and vehicle play. Classic maps. Community popping off with massive channels going. It's so sad to see the state these days. Dice is completely aware of this. They are either not talented enough or too incompetent or both to return to the formula and features that work. Give me premium any day. Live service games are such a joke that target kids who don't know any better. Toast and eggs by the way.

You can't just even compare this game's content with what we used to have. Almost every map in battlefield before 2042 release had a theme, they always has big set pieces. BF5 has rotterdam which looked stunning. BF1 has Heligoland Bight, a very unique map, not your regular BF map. BF4 had Siege of Shanghai, and let's say many other set pieces in the final stand DLC like Giants of Karelia with prototype mechs from BF 2142.
Battlefield maps used to tell a story! New maps in 2042 don't have that same vibe with the maps. They just feel like they are maps that does the job, not much else. Generic.
With live service games you don't get that because the focus is on selling new garbage every few weeks. They lied to players about not doing DLC because it split the player base but it was really because they wanted continuous money and it has backfired because they thought players would wait around for the game to be actually finished.
I come back to your channel for the following reasons… 1 I like you as a creator. The no bs approach, the no sucking dice dildo for the handshakes, friendship and hugs like all the other bf tubers. 2 i want to keep supporting you mainly cos DICE has left you high and dry. 3 I hope the franchise actually does the surprising and makes a good one again we all enjoy and want you around in this capacity for it. 4 I’m a battlefield guy, I play bf1 a lot still and it’s my main game still, occasionally bfv but gave up on 2042 long ago. Haven’t played the new content, won’t be downloading again either and it’s not even the content, it’s the feeling of the game in general, it’s hard to pin down exactly why it just doesn’t give the I wanna play it feels. Played half a round of the previous new map and deleted again, downloaded and deleted this game so many times I’m just not gonna bother again.

Played battlefield since BF4. Huge fan of this franchise. Started watching Enders at the launch of Season 1 of 2042. At first I did think his opinions of Dice were very wild, but slowly I have come to appreciate his take on how EA/Dice have screwed this franchise and more or less put it into an early grave. He is the only reason I still occasionally play 2042. I do hope Dice revive this franchise back to what it was with the next release. Just need to remain cautiously optimistic
@@danyon9591 Yes Im a little older, played the very first BF, on demo disc... when they used to release demos!!!! LOL which a CD which came with a game mag and Ive seen the franchise fall so far it really hurts. Look up the BF2 menus, what is now a 3rd party Battlefield Tracker was already in the game, they really took a dive on the overall work they put in. But anyway this man Enders is by far the best BF content/streamer guy out now. Highly skilled, good sense of humor, and does not ride for fake love.
Beginning to think they purposely implement bugs just to fix them to look like they’re still committed. Some of these bugs are just bizarre.

It's not about "content" or skins or maps or whatever, the game is just bad and boring, the gameplay mechanics are flat and severely lacking.
If any of you people have trouble breaching into the buildings, you can sprint in with your throwing knifes in hand to kill and avoid 2-3 extra bullets from enemy cqc.
AK5C has an early unlock of under-barrel shotgun to make breaching into the buildings easier
Rao can reveal entire teams in the buildings with one hack
Buildings near the middle-top are also vulnerable to RPG's and C4

ive tried to play 2042 in general and uninstall it in about 30 minutes. Its just not fun in any capacity
The crazy thing is if they had applied the right recoil to guns in the first place then they wouldn't have to have put visual recoil as a bandaid fix.
they still haven’t fixed the hit boxes on the buildings in Qatar, was flying a jet earlier today and was destroyed by a building even though i had about 30+ feet of clearance, closed the game immediately.
edit: i’m a pilot main in enlisted, so i have very high standards of realism, my experience with bf2042 jets have been a blunder, things were okay but they just made it even worse.
Theyre so bad, after playing War Thunder I realized what it was. The jets in 2042 actively FIGHT you. You either have so much sensitivity you can't aim during strafing runs/dog fights, or you have to hot switch to kb just to give enough input to pitch up after every dive, or you get out maneuvered by enemy jets because the mouse input is half assing how much to turn.
It's hell.

IMO the game launched as a 1/10, S6 was a 3/10 and S7 lowered the game to a 2.5/10.
And I agree about the dripfed content. They should have released Stadium alongside Haven so that people can switch between the two and not get bored as fast.

I just don't get how many times drip feed is going to lead to players being completely unsatisfied before devs stop committing gaming suicide by doing it :/ drip feed really only works if you MASSIVELY front load a proportionally good amount of content and then trickle in bonuses along the way. The drip feed being the entirety of the actual content just doesn't work, has never worked, and will continue to not fucking work.
Season 7 is reused assets from previous seasons and is boring, it's they didn't even try and they thought this was the best season they ever put out but in reality it's boring
The SRAW is pretty awful at hitting nightbirds. Have you tried it out? It has a slow missile, long reload and a huge zoom/narrow FoV.
It seems to be worse than the Liz missile in most regards (it is better at hitting rats inside buildings)
Expect the lmg and the stealth bomber to both be bugged and not fixed till season 8 😂
I've noticed that the progression of this season is very slow, I'm excited to get the sraw but I only get like 2 battlepass circles per match when I'm done with the missions. I'm looking forward to the new bomber plane as well but I hope it's not as lengthy as this... I wonder if the bomber will be as fun as the battlefield 1 bomber plane.

The problem is there isn’t much variety. All they have to do is add all the portal weapons and maps to all out warfare and that could hold us over until they get their stuff together Atleast. Haven is arguably my least favorite map in the game right now so in terms of maps, so far season 7 is actually negative content since I'll back out of of the lobby when it comes up in rotation (along with Manifest). So for me, right now it's 2 guns and the SRAW and some balance changes.
As someone who's been playing since the beta of the game, this is by far the worst season we've had. It's the only one that, in my opinion, actually resulted in making the game worse.
I played 4 "rounds" (spawn, die, alt F4), unlocked the SMG, and stopped. DICE was so curious what would make me buy the battle pass, how about fixing the recoil bug to start?
So, I'm an on and off player (since I play it on game pass here and there), I played on like, season 5 and then quit the game because grinding for attachments is boring.
I came back recently because a friend of mine wanted to play it with me, and honestly, I'm not seeing a lot of substantial changes, if any (only real change I noticed is the Recon flying drone not being able to EMP enemy vehicles anymore)
As someone who generally prefers playing as infantry and doesn't usually drive vehicles, this game doesn't draw me in. The latest maps are a bit better, but there are only 3-4 conquest maps and 4-5 deathmatch maps that I really enjoy playing throughout the game. I think there might be a mistake since the game was firstly developed as a battle royale then turn to a normal battlefield.
I played a few rounds over two days on the new map. Unlocked the smg and the first attachments. Got bored of the new map. Didn't want to play the old maps either. Got back to playing other stuff after 2 days. It's just meh. One map, two guns after how many months? Meh.

Your conclusion really hits hard: release MORE CONTENT. I thought about it hard and i agree. The problem Is not mainly the game itself. It IS the lack of content. I love the bigger maps and mainly play 128 player maps, but the same 7 maps is just killing my enjoyment. Especially when you get to play 2 or 3 of them in an evening because of the matchmaking system.
On the flip side, Gran Turismo 7 gets away with almost no content added. It is highly enjoyable if you are into sim racing. They occasionally add a few cars here and there. The fact that they have like 30-40 tracks and 3-4 variations of each track and a server browser for multiplayer races makes it more satisfying to go back for more. They have daily races (ranked) and tournaments every week.
I think as you said in one of your videos, BF should have ranked tournaments and add a BR ranked game mode next time. And plan for a TON of maps, or plan for a failure.
Personally I’d like to see the best weapons setups video now while I’m still engaged and interested in the new season. And then when the lmg and new map comes out then mention a best setup for the lmg in a video.
Even though I don't play battlefield 2042 anymore I appreciate the updates that you make on the game and the consistency of the content. I love the franchise which is why I still watch and I hope for your sake as well as everyone that they get their shit together with the next game.
All you said is true and one of the major issue of the map is as you said in a video there’s a lot of routes and head glitches and it’s annoying
The lack of content really was the games downfall. Everything else pretty much could’ve been fixed through patches, and a lot of it was. But the abysmal levels of content or just unforgivable for a video game this important and at the MSRP that it launched at. .
I have heard about server browsers in ancient history of BF so you could play your map or fav rotation
LOL that last revolver kill haha nice one, really nice actually, but I still say, the biggest issue I have with the game is that you can kill people at great distances using just about any gun, if you can control the recoil (even if that is irrelevant in the case of that particular shot.)
If anyone is actually thinking the next bf game is going to be good, this season should be proof that it isn't happening. I'm afraid EA might be shelving the franchise soon.

The problem with the seasson besides the lack of content, is the 24/7 haven stupidity....it breaks the playerbase when they can just add it to the vanilla rotation and make it more constant in the rotation...just like that you dont split the player base and they dont get bored playing again and again with the same 127 players....and it was a free for the weekend, so they just scared the few new players that test the game in free weekend...just a lot of nonsense at this point from a company that just want to drop the game allready
And the matchmaking is broken too, like when I finished a match I need to restart the game everytime.

Seasons 7 has brought new and old bugs to the game, I joined a match when my team had 100 tickets, spawned in got 3 kills, and the game ended. The scoreboard gave me 5 deaths... it said I was 3 an 5. I didnt die, I only spawned in one time wtf? 🤯
What pisses me off the most is grinding your ass through the season just to have enough battle bucks to buy the premium when its released. We had to grind through 7 season for what to be able to afford the premium and maybe afford a weapon cosmetic or whatever. Fuckin makes me ill. Then to get this bs. Then pisses me off even further for the ones like myself that paid 80 dollars for this game on initial release and its free to play now. We got dicked down literally and tooken advantage off. Thats why i left cod after ghost. After ghost cod fell apart. They did what they wanted and didnt care about the customers anymore. Havent baught a shitty as cod since then, not fuckin 1
And on top of that there a still a bunch of problems that DICE nevete took care of in those 5 months: netcode, gun balance (let's be honest, the HS multiplier on ARs is useless and the VHX is stil OP), operators balance, vehicle balance (like TOR tank and gunships) and so on

@@ryanscott_everything is worse in this season. I get killed before I even step out of cover, like the server thinks my character is in a different place to where I’m standing. Not to mention the grenade that kill me from behind walls or when they’re nowhere near me.
Hit reg is also the worst it’s been so far. The other day I had 26 bullets register client side and only 11 of those register on the server. Really hard to get kills when only 40% of your bullets register.
Back to the time of BF1 DLC's. Those where the days.
When it gets like this I usually make my own fun with the game or go for a T1 with a character. I'll also shoot for another 100 kill round or break my standing record, came close a few matches ago.

I made myself content in form of a challenge to get 100 Infantry kills in haven in one round ngl 4/5 Games end with 800+ Tickets on the winning Team … the closest i got was 97 … was on conquest even tho im a breakt player haven plays excaptionaly bad in that mode
Although BFV had its flaws, I still remember the Pacific update as a key moment that really boosted game experience and engagement. Really fresh content. We need something similar to keep the BF2042 game alive. But I think it is too late for that.
You could do a best weapons guide now and when the new lmg releases, give it an independent review.

Season 7 is my first season and Im enjoying it tbh. Havent played BF for the last 10 years. Maybe Ill get boared soon but for now, im really enjoying it.

Yup. Everything feels lack luster. The biggest aspect being a new map to play on and the map design is just not good. It doesn't help reusing the SAME ASSETS SINCE BC2 JUST CTRL+C , CTRL+P across the entire map.

I simply don't understand how it's possible that on the new map a team can win with 1100 of 1300 tickets left. I think the map disigne is so horrible, that if u have the city u won.

The depth comment is what I was thinking - for better or worse I think that is the pull of BRs. For Battlefield there are only so many times that you can stack up on a chokepoint and blast away before you get bored. For PUBG (for example), every match is a bit different. The amount of events that can happen each match are wildly variable. So it's more natural for a game like that to retain a playerbase.
So yeah, depth.
The only reason I am still playing this game which is less than normal for me.....is because I have an addiction for BF in general. It's like you said in your last video "This is my game". Just so unfortunate the state of this game! I would personally wait until the rest of this season is out and bugs are fixed before a weapon/vehicle specific video.
i think everyone is just collectively over it at this point. tired of the drip fed sprinkles of content and bugs that get constantly reintroduced for the 195th time. not to mention the late game mechanic overhauls you have to relearn to play the game every season for. im generally positive about dice and their ability but seems like the curse of EA is unavoidable.
I played heavily from S1 to S4 and then quit halfway through. I came back for S6 and played for 5-6 weeks. You put it very well--we're all just over it at this point. Waiting months and months to get one mediocre map, reintroducing recoil bugs (and others) over and over, changing the feel of the gunplay every season--it's tiring. As much as COD sucks, at least the gunplay is solid every time, they don't try to reinvent the wheel every update, and they don't make you relearn mechanics constantly.
The only thing I keep returning to is in portal, 16 players v 44 bots hardcore rush. It's great if you love bf chaos and suffering.

Played over 400 hours 2042. Like you said in this video, only 4 days saison 7 on haven so something between 20-30 hours.
Edit: Maybe you need to make a short trip to CoD and MW3, they have more content. But it's really feel horrible if you knew old CoD and old BF titles. If you take a short trip to that franchise for something like 30-50 hours, you will get a feeling for what more content in a video game means today. :D

It amazes me how a team with so much experience are so out of touch with their community .. we begged and begged for them to remove specialist abilities .. that coupled with slow development and bad map design its ruined
Whenever I play bad company 2 I absolutely love it. When I play 2042 I feel flat and deflated and trying to turn the colour down on my TV.
Tbh im not a hardcore gamer or something but i find battlefield 2042 very entertaining and exciting. I love the setting and the diffrent things you can do. Obviously ea fucked up and im not tryna defend that they are literal failures but i find the game funny. Theres always something you can do. Not keen on playing breakthrough anymore? Load up a round of conquest. Also trash? Tdm. No? Okay what about the (not vehicle Centred) portal modes. Want to have more fun and less sweating? Just pick the avancys with iron sights and try to get as many kills as possible.
Tired of only one weapon killing you? If theres a Dejavu Portal thing hop in there.
Im not a fan in any means i just want to say that i find it enjoyable (rare opinion)

The thing is that you get bored of one map very fast, when you have to play it over and over. When they would have put the other map at the start of the season it would have kept peoples attention longer. When you switch between 2 new maps, bot maps will feel less boring. When they will introduce stadium, we will be bored of Haven and after one week get bored of Stadium too. The best strategy was to start season 7 with the 2 new maps and 4 new weapons and then give the new vehicle in the middle of the season with a new event. But don't get how they can't make 3 new maps everyone 6 months. We would have been fine with some new Portal maps from previous BF games.
They can't make 3 new maps every 6 months because they have been trying to fix day 1 maps since launch.
After playing exclusively the new map, I played one conquest with 128 players at Kaleidoscope, and nah I only can play the new map. It's the best
Season 7 inspired me to start playing bf5. Why does the mouse feel so much more fluid and smooth in bf5, what even is 2042
A group of us at WAU have been playing Battlefield 1 the past few days.... Its beautiful.
If they do actually bring back redacted to 24/7 play like I’ve heard with haven it will be fun to go back and forth on them, I’m enjoying haven now a bit after I’ve forced myself to play it.
this really feels like the last season of Battlefield 2042 unless they will try to milk Season 8 with the minimal content
They have a formula somewhere in their basement - make 100500 paid skins for one new game weapon or vehicle. So if they try to make more actual gameplay content - they will be painting and retexturing existing game models for ages to make more paid skins. And then they will tell investors that they've made a lot of CONTENT. I wish investors knew that ugly truth about their content delivered.
Where is STADİUM map ?
i dont know why but i just cant enjoy breakthrough anymore, it feels like the maps are not designed with that in mind? could it be that the specialists like mckay and sundance kinda break the flow couse u get backdoored by them constantly? is it the unbalance in attackers defenders resourses? i dont know man something feels strange, and yes the new map is nothing special i got bored also in like 2 days
I tier 1’d the only weapon that I find skillful from this season (usually there’s at least one more) and now it’s starting to wear off.
That’s why I just try and use helicopters, something different because the infantry side of weapons and gadgets is disappointing to say the least
